Jeffrey, I’m not a regular commenter but I am a regular viewer. I hate to see all the Negative Nelly types here telling you what a mistake you’re making. I wish you all the best on this grand adventure. We should all be brave enough to go with our dreams. Those that think a house and a collection of flamingos is a perfect life have little adventure in their lives! Go for it! Have a great time and show us what you can! Yay!
We have been through the caravan, the huge motor home and now a van similar to yours. We love it and I'm sure so will you. Getting smart with storage and packing is essential. We actually fixed in shelves in the overhead cupboards to make more storage and also we pack everything in plastic baskets so you don't have to rummage around to find stuff. We keep crockery, glassware and anything breakable in the drawers as we once lost a whole cupboard full of kitchenware when we drove over a pothole in the road and the door flew open and everything smashed. Happy travels!!!!!!
Jeffery, I have been camping most of my life. My husband and I have spent living in our 19’ camper up to five months of the year. I have learned a few lessons that I would like to pass on. First, campers are great people and if you get in a bind, often someone will help you out. There are less expensive places to stay like the Corp of Engineers. We are members of Sam’s Club which offers slightly cheaper rates for its members. And they are across the country. It is a good idea when on the road to find a place for the night early in the day. In some states you can camp for free at rest areas. It is helpful to go to the welcome center as you enter a new state. You sounded so excited about all the storage you have. Trust me that you will find it isn’t enough! I try to take out anything I haven’t used and a lot of my dishes/pots etc have dual purposes. A cheap electric heater is a good idea. If you are in a colder climate, you may find that bubble wrap on the windows is a great although not pretty insulator. I love your new home, and I wish you much happiness on the road. Who knows-I might run into you at a campground.
We have never had a problem at rest stops in Texas and Ohio and we always stayed at rest stops that have a 24 hour service center. Always when we camp we check out our neighbors. Actually last winter we stayed at a run down campground outside of Little Rock. The owner gave us two spots we didn’t have to unhook as we were leaving the next morning to catch the solar eclipse. We encountered so many friendly people who live there year round as it is cheap and they don’t have much money. I do agree with you that I wouldn’t pull into just any rest stop. Always you have to be careful and we are careful and cautious in our city home too.
Jeffery you gotta keep us informed wit a video on your adventures. Have fun and be safe Plan what you can and Sing the rest of the way. Peace/Love Doing it your Way . ‼️🥰
I am so thrilled for you! What fun you will have! I can not wait to watch your new adventures! Wishing you all the best with this newest part of your life! Take care and stay safe!
I wish you the best my friend! Enjoy! You are still young enough to do this! So much to see in this country of ours! I envy you!😊 Be safe, drive carefully!!! So many festivals and flea markets and miles long yard sales! ❤❤❤
Very very nice, will definitely be fun exploring anywhere your heart desires. Best of luck and good travels. Looking forward to see your adventure stories
We love our travel van! It’s so great to use for travel. Spent 48 days going to Alaska in it. My fav place to sleep. So cozy. Happy for you. You’ll love it! Looking forward to your videos!!!
Ohh dude you'll find something for every one of those cabs and storage bins, don't u fret none... Ur ride is freaking awesome, can't wait to see all ur travel endeavors & fun ppl to meet along the way! Safe travels my dude ❤
Great video I love your sprinter van very spacious! I follow a few channels where people travel in their vans or rv's or truck campers. Happy safe travels looking forward to all of your adventures!
I feel sad that you’re leaving home.. but I’m happy for your new adventure .. will mark be a part of your new journey .. be safe my friend, but most of all be happy!! I’m proud of you!!🎉❤❤
Enjoy your life while u are young and can..have fun and explore and experience all u can..be safe and be kind and appreciate the fact u have a special wonderful glorious friend like Katie!!
omg I so love this van...perfect for me...thanks for showing us. Not sure I would ever sell my paid off home and all the land but everyone has their own way of living life. So many say they have regretted selling their home but still had house payments. we do not. look forward to seeing your new journey...and organization comes in time as you adjust and have more travel time under your belt! :)
Hey Jeffrey, thanks for the tour ♥️ Sending you hugs 🤗 & best wishes in your new adventures on the road, safe travels & I look forward to you sharing your travels & finds in future videos 🇺🇸 Also your selling on the road! Love you 😘
I just spent twelve days camping and I missed my home. I camp with hubby, grand child, and dogs. Grammy needs to get away from the chaos sometimes. I wish you safe and happy travels. Lots of new adventures!!! If there is a hurricane you can just drive away to safety. Can't do that with a house, lol😄
Looks like youre good to go Jeffrey. I don't know much about van life but I did move to a studio apt last year & I love it. Part of what inspired me to do it was watching resellers like you go to these estate sales where theres SO MUCH stuff that obviously their families dont want or theres no one to leave it to; why have all that stuff if youre just going to store it in a box somewhere & not actually enjoy it? I found having a lifetime of stuff from raising a family was weighing me down emotionally, now my bills are low, I have way less to clean & I buy things I like cheaply at thrift stores or whatever, enjoy them for awhile, then let them go. (There is a core group of things I love & will probably keep forever, but its small) And if I change my mind & want more space & more things I can always do that later. As a fellow coffee lover though may I suggest trying an Aeropress as opposed to a French press. I used a French press for months & was just never happy with the quality or richness of my coffee, but its so much better with my Aeropress. And they dont break. Happy travels!
Your Sprinter is very nice. When shopping and having quick live sales from the road, you could occasionally use the regular bed as storage when you're shopping. (That is, if the bench bed is comfortable enough!) When going state to state you could shop with a local subscriber. They could be a good source for finding shops and places to park for the night. Maybe?
Wow I love that you go for it with whatever you do. I really admire that and am learning to do that more in my life as well. Life is too short to be squandered. I think it's a great idea to anchor your stuff down so you can drive without worry. I noticed the coffee candy Kopiko- I love those! My husband is Thai and we've always picked them up in Thailand(I think they are available in the asian grocery now). Enjoy the ride both of you. I can't wait to see what else you do :)
Nice van, hope you got a good deal and hope it has low miles. I don't think Mercedes uses fake wood. I drive a wagon and all the wood trim is real, just has a very heavy clear finish over it. Happy trails and adventures!!!
At 47, my kids were off to college, I sold my home and lived in a transitional van, spent three years traveling, it was absolutely amazing! I’m so happy for you! I would use stackable totes in your cabinets it’s easier to pull them down then dig around on top. Really consider the weight of items your adding, it makes a huge difference in fuel costs. And a travel air compressor is a must. Bear spray & baseball bat for piece of mind. Happy travels! 🎉
love all these suggestions...I know how others feel about safety and guns etc....but dont put on utube what you keep for protection...and make sure they are not noticeable...if I am in danger...that is between me and the idiot thinking they can grab whatever they want and not theirs. :)
I follow several people on RUclips who live out of their vans & they are having a blast!! Did you sell your car? Where are you headed first?? Are you still gonna see Mark and the puppy?? I can't wait to see your adventures. Now, you can literally drive anywhere in the United States!! Have a blast!!
Very nice! So looking forward to seeing your new adventures. Also how you will transform your new home. You have a great eye and handy with tools. Best wishes to your next adventure in life. ❤😊❤
Thanks for the van tour. I am curious how you're going to keep afloat if you're not really reselling or have a job anytime soon. And Mercedes are EXTREMELY expensive to maintain, not to mention repairs. I'm sure you've thought about all that. It would give me anxiety. 😆
Jeffrey thank you for showing us your new home on wheels! So glad you are going to live your best life on the open road!! Happy traveling and be safe 🙏Looking forward to antiquing trips during your travels !! 🚐
Seems like you just bought your house!! How are you going to sell and store your items for Ebay or are you not doing that anymore? Have fun in your travels. hope you check in with us here so we can know if you are alright! Thanks for sharing. Your van is beautiful!!
Reminds me of the movie Big Big Trailer Lucy and Desi Arnez. You need more than your amethyst stone though. Lucy had alot of rocks. Lol. Happy Trails Jeffrey.
Good for you! I love risk takers. And who says this will be forever. What better time in your life for adventure. Don’t forget first aid, medicine, sun screen, bug spray, zip lock bags. This is the Mom in me speaking. HAVE FUN AND ENJOY. 🌞
Nice rig ... vans have really improved. You've got a little room for storing merch ... room for a folding table or two & chairs? Look forward to your vlogs ... maybe you'll even make it out to the west coast! Best as always, Rich (& Brenda) 😊😊
I'm so happy to see you living your life on your terms. As always, please be safe and know that I look forward to seeing the many adventures you are sure to have in your new house on wheels!
You could rent your place through a property manager. I think you could turn a profit as real estate is likely to continue to appreciate in Florida. Retirees are down there for the short haul, so they don't care about the future...just want to enjoy what's left of life. They will pay up for that Florida lifestyle.
You could take a fold up chair to sit outside if you don't have one. You could get the shelf risers I think they are called so items can sit below & then up on the shelf fill a basket or bin with items to sit on shelf. I am so happy for you taking a new adventure in your life. There should be an online group you join for people who also travel this way might have lots of good tips or can tell you good places to stay. So excited to see your adventures!!!
Some of the RV van owners I’ve seen on RUclips get soft baskets at Target they fit in those upper cupboards very well and you can stack stuff up in them and since they’re soft cloth woven baskets they are pliable to fit comfortably in those spaces. It was fun watching this video because my husband just retired and we’re planning to buy an RV van and we hadn’t looked at the older models but that one is very nice and honestly one a bit older makes more sense for us !! I’m looking forward to seeing your adventures in that van! A very exciting new chapter for you . From what I’ve been seeing is going on in Florida it looks like you sold your house at just the right time to get out of that mess !! Congratulations on your beautiful van !

I object to the term "negative Nelly" lol
Be Happy!!

@@nellstreasurebox no offense meant to you!!! 😊
OMG! This is my dream! I would love to have something just that size to travel. It is beautiful!
Congratulations on your new home.
Jeffrey i sure hope you do travel vlogs, you just cant disappear on us all.
He is single and can experience all facets of life. I say GO FOR IT.
I thought he and mark were a couple?

6 years living in an RV as a travel nurse. Glad I did it...but never again.
Rest stops are not SAFE !!!!!!!
I agree get a small heater

So , so beautiful your going to have a blast. Don’t forget to have a first aid kit , very important.
Yes, I thought the same thing.. first aid kit.

Did he say he wasn't going to be rrselling?? I just saw he went to 2 amazing Estate sales .. And he bought a lot!!
Very beautiful home
Jeffrey thank you for showing us your new home on wheels! So glad you are going to live your best life on the open road!! Happy traveling and be safe 🙏Looking forward to antiquing trips during your travels !! 🚐
I hope you keep a few flamingos. At least a yard stake you can plant each time you stop to camp. Instant Home!
haha that would be fun to see! A "calling card" of sorts
how exciting! life of adventure awaits - or rather, you're living it now! all the best and keep us updated!
That’s an awesome Sprinter!
Seems like you just bought your house!! How are you going to sell and store your items for Ebay or are you not doing that anymore? Have fun in your travels. hope you check in with us here so we can know if you are alright! Thanks for sharing.
Your van is beautiful!!
He's already sold the house and selling 90 percent of what was in at an estate sale.
I hope you have safe travels and not much mechanical problems along the way 😊
Please stay safe on the road.
Sprinter van envy❣️
This is going to be FUN! Can’t wait for your first adventure on the road! Congratulations Jeffrey. I’m so excited for you Mr.
Fun times ahead 😊
Your van is the boom ❤
Reminds me of the movie Big Big Trailer Lucy and Desi Arnez. You need more than your amethyst stone though. Lucy had alot of rocks. Lol. Happy Trails Jeffrey.
One of my favorites. It's streaming on Tubi right now
@@linaleblanc8288mine too, it's a classic.
It's "The Long, Long Trailer". One of my favorite movies.
@@charlottemccaig578 it's a classic
Love that movie, hopefully he's not a rock collector 😅
Happy trails to you!
Wow what quality work. Do you have a water heater and a heating system ? So much in there it’s fantastic. Any solar going on ?
Wow congrats that’s great
Love to see you celebrating the 4th together 🎆
Museum putty dries out especially warm weather. Humidity can affect it. Any water stirs you can refill
Loctite aka fun tak putty has worked well for me
Your van is amazing! I hope that the purchase of the van won't have any impact on your relationship with Mark. You 2 are a great couple!
Have you named him/her yet? Gorgeous van and I'm sure it will bring you many great years of fun adventuring 💟
He should name her "Stella"
How about Marilyn? or Norma Jean?
Good for you! I love risk takers. And who says this will be forever.
What better time in your life for adventure.
Don’t forget first aid, medicine, sun screen, bug spray, zip lock bags. This is the Mom in me speaking.
HAVE FUN AND ENJOY. 🌞
Mental breakdown ?!?
Nice rig ... vans have really
improved. You've got a little
room for storing merch ... room for a folding table or two & chairs? Look forward to your vlogs ... maybe you'll even make it out to the west coast! Best as always, Rich (& Brenda) 😊😊
Get a plastic shower bucket to put you shampoo and personal care supplies in. Makes it easy to carry to the campground showers
I'm so happy to see you living your life on your terms. As always, please be safe and know that I look forward to seeing the many adventures you are sure to have in your new house on wheels!
Over the door shoe bag is helpful in storing items in shower.
Looks like every time you shower the commode gets one too and you have to dry that off. Bit of an annoying inconvenience.
Looks great 👍🏼
You could rent your place through a property manager. I think you could turn a profit as real estate is likely to continue to appreciate in Florida. Retirees are down there for the short haul, so they don't care about the future...just want to enjoy what's left of life. They will pay up for that Florida lifestyle.
Have great adventures
I just hope you’re happy with your choices. My opinion is not relevant because I’m not in your shoes nor do I live your life. Be happy and enjoy ❤🎉😊
When did he sell his house. Glad he's doing his thing.
Free at last. See the world and world of beautiful things and places
Pretty cool!😊
You could take a fold up chair to sit outside if you don't have one. You could get the shelf risers I think they are called so items can sit below & then up on the shelf fill a basket or bin with items to sit on shelf. I am so happy for you taking a new adventure in your life. There should be an online group you join for people who also travel this way might have lots of good tips or can tell you good places to stay. So excited to see your adventures!!!
I saw a folding chair in the trunk area, behind the container with the windex.
Eeeek!! Living vicariously through you, Jeffrey! So excited for your new adventures!
Fire extinguisher or fire blanket? Since you plan on using laptop for editing and watching movies, Starlink can connect anywhere. I'm happy for you.
I saw one when he showed the van. It's towards the front near the seats.
