Brilliant video! Just bought a 20 plate MWB Crafter as my first van for me and my son. Love the sofa bed idea! That would be brilliant to buy kitted out. Shower idea even better! I thought I would need to pass on one however just been measuring up and recon a queen size bed, shower tray then bench seat/bed should just fit in! I’m following your steps with no insulation underneath the floor. I live in Scotland and some 25mm insulation won’t make much difference in my opinion! New subscriber and will be sure to watch all previous videos! Thanks
Hey thanks Robbie, Yeah you sum up my point better actually. 25mm won’t make enough difference. I think most of the trick with insulation is preventing thermal bridging so that you don’t have cold spots where the warm air can turn to water.
Thanks Dave. Had to pull a very late one last night to get it finished. 🤦♂️ So many clips and files used 🤣 I will get that price on the diesel heater for you today but thought the video would be a big help for you.
Looking forward to the video on the super charger update. Bought a LPS and super charger from you earlier this year and have been nothing but impressed with the setup. Looking forward to the update so you can benefit from the super charger “supercharging” all the time and not just when the LPS gets bellow 30%. Keep up the quality content 👍
Awww bless matey I always feel chuffed when you watch my vids. Boring video to admin and make this buggar but really glad I have. I’ve had so many good conversations today about it. Some very philosophical too. If i’m honest the times we’ve had in that van cost x3 what we have paid over the last 3 years I would gladly pay it again. Vans for life. Although I do love a retro tractor 🤣 Have a top xmas matey. x
Would say that’s excellent value for money Mark, an is a cracker! our van is the crafter and we bought converted with similar miles, great conversion but by the time we’ve added few things ( and the Clayton) from you guys - I’ve nearly spent double than that 🤢🤢 Thanks for the help with the Clayton recently, it’s a game changer and wish we’d got it earlier. 👍
A lot of the prices have shot up (like everything has 🤦♂️) over the last 3 years. I think the costs people have spent are very wide. I spotted a new van for sale with very similar spec at £125k. Whatever you spend the vans are just brilliant to use and we have so many great memories. If you can get the electrics, heating and water right they can be used weekly or even live in one 😇
Hi Mark, we have done this for our transporter for an agreed value for the insurance company!! It took ages, digging out all the receipts and then realising how much you actually spent is surprising. Btw, the clayton Power unit has been great best thing i fitted 😊
hartfordcommercial.co.uk/product/airplus-deluxe-roof-vent-fan-by-hcw/ I’ve filmed the fitting and i’ve some good tips and reviews as there has been a slight improvement in the design. It will be on our website this week too.
I agree... sound deadening isn't needed as much as people think. When people do the ribs in the floor, it's wasted. The ribs in the floor already do the deadening.
It feels like one of those jobs you do because other people online do it. But most of the vans have a deadening sheet on each of the large panels from factory already. The floor is spot without insulation until the dead of winter when it starts to feel cooler. But when it’s THAT cold you have the diesel or gas heater on anyhow. so then the floor is nice and toasty anyway.
Do you know if your bathroom lvt tiles were from B&Q by any chance, looked at the exact set at the weekend and decided on doing my floors and bathroom with them! Also the clayton system, if i were to buy the addon battery does that increase my solar allowance or am i still restricted to 400W? Thanks for the video, really useful.
Hey Harry, They were yeah. They have lasted very well with very few marks or scratches. No leaks either [Mark touches wood]. Yes you are still limited to 400w but in all honesty it’s more than enough. Even in bright sunlight, and perfect conditions you are very rarely getting that wattage through. The main issue is the open voltage. It has to be below 50v but by wiring in parallel you can keep that under that number no worries. With additional benefits too. Give me a bell if you need any advice my number is in my profile.

check out our other video on van weight depends on what we have on board. We’ve just had our van uprated to 3.9t but we tend to sit between 3.6t and 3.8t with bikes, dogs water fuel etc

Brilliant and very informative video Mark. Many thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it David 👊
Great video mate. Van looks amazing.
Ah cheers Steve.
Think that's good value bud most people underestimate component costs and how quickly the bom can get out of hand. Have a great Xmas mate.

Hello, how much was the snorkel? Who fitted it , we have a MAN . I have struggled to find a company to do this .
Kind regards Ian Griffiths
It was T5 upgrades. I will see if we can have a code for our viewers and pop it on. vwt5-t6upgrades.co.uk/product/new-crafter-man-tge-snorkel/
What is the brand for the brushless fan that you used?
