      I'm not much of a laser kind of guy I prefer free hand or sketching. it suits me better, I tend to changed my mind quite often think I've redesigned my bed at least 10× In the last six months

    Another amazing project. The laser cut panels are very interesting and organic looking. They look like either leaf cells or dragon fly wings. Very cool 👍

    I was unsure at 1st, but with the time dedicated to completing all those cuts, the burning, stain and oil, wowsy! It looks metallic or leathered a bit, very industrial, truly a piece of art! You can't sell this for less than $10,000!! 😋

    Wow, wow, wow! This is now officially my favorite project. That laser is so cool. I can't wait to see what you do with I the little cut-out bits. I think an inlaid tray might be nice? (staged with a Japanese sake set). Keep up the amazing work! (also, the marshmallows...lol)

    I was waiting for the marshmallow bit! Seriously great job Jay. When I saw all the little bits that came out of the laser cut piece I thought "They'd make fabulous pebble tiles". What a different piece now. I love the carved inserts and it looks like hammered metal. Can't wait to see what else you do with your new toy.

    Jay?????….what an interesting project. What is just so different, changed the whole notion of what you have: once a coffee table…(drum roll)….now a artistic looking piece of furniture art! I think it is truly very good. I seem to like everything you do because you bravely go in a totally unexpected direction…it is now a “wow-piece”!! Really flabbergasted about how you change a very ordinary piece into something entirely different!!! I just drama-fainted!!!!… lol!
    I have been blessed by my daughters presence who I haven’t seen since 2013! Having fun and feeling very close to my little family…all cozy relaxed laughing and silly! Have fun, Beautiful Jay! Great work!!!😱🫢😇

    Shou Sugi Ban and the carving is thinking out of the box! Excellent choice to blend the woods. The laser tool finishes it off! Reminds me of ironwork. It’s stunning!

    Wow. I love how you sat inside the table to do some carving.. shows the size of the table.
    Gives me ideas for a table I have. The glass insert broke and it is expensive to replace...

    It always amazes me the tricks you pull out of your hat! What a beautiful piece. BTW- there is a type of glass called 'hammered glass' that looks just like this wood pattern. I often used it when I made stained glass pieces.
