Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I crack a joke or two. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

I'm always amazed at people's entitlement. I read a news article once, where a couple had won a significant amount on a lottery, and they just wanted to take their time and plan out the changes and next steps to take in life. Unfortunately they had to sell up and move right away because their neighbours started to come to their door wanting to go through their house and choose the items (furniture, tvs etc) they wanted and when they were told no, got all nasty. At the time I thought it was a bit much to believe, but then an middle aged couple built a house on an acreage across the street from me and it turned out that they too had the same experience and moved right across the country to get away from people like that. People actually believe they are entitled to your stuff - free, and then they go on the attack when told no. It's disgusting.

MANY years later, heard about ASMR and realized I wasn't a freak and NOW I could find many videos of that.
---I had a very long commute on the Long Island Rail Road into Manhattan (New York) where a LOT of people read the newspaper, especially large ones like the NY Ti*es. I DESPISED that commute, after living in Brooklyn, a quick and not realizing when we had to keep house hunting further and further away from my Wall St job to find our dream house how brutal a 3.5 hour r/t commute would be. HOWEVER, for the LIRR part of the trip, I felt lulled, calm and got goosebumps when I focused on the newspaper rustling! Many many years later for some reason I googled it and saw hundreds of ASMR videos when I thought I was the only one!

The actual nerve of some people is absolutely astonishing. I am an artist, I sell my work and services for a living, and am the only one that makes money in the family, and the amount of times people have written me like this is just appalling. When they dont get their way it 100% turns into them cussing or belittling what I do, and acting like they were doing me a favor by even wanting something from me. I understand why. The pandemic has many independent artists struggling since the events they get hired for have all been cancelled. They need every bit of work they can get to pay the bills. So responding nicely is done in hopes that the entitled person may actually hire them for at least a discounted price. Artists don't usually have the luxury of telling potential clients to f off, even if they're a**holes. Sad but true.

If you are known for the price range you gave for exposure, people will most likely just want your work for that low price and never appreciate you. As a former owner of a catering business I can definitely say that the food we prepare isn't free and neither is our time, which is usually weeks of preparation prior to the wedding, as well as the hours of work on the day of the wedding (much longer than the actual event itself). That's why it costs so much per head at a wedding, since the guy wanting a free song and performance doesn't seem to grasp why it costs so much a head for food at a wedding.

I don't get the wanting everything for nothing. Hey I need a new computer, I'll gladly post about how great it is to my poor friends and family.

If the "man" I was marrying offered up my bridesmaids as payments and sexual favours in exchange for a service, I would be disgusted to the core that I was marrying someone without a sense of dignity, class, and respect.
    Absolutely despicable.

Jamie was so polite and respectful over and over again. Hats off to him. I would have brought the sarcastic B**** on after just the first couple.
