If you are referring to the fact that a priest has a daughter the Catholic Church is allowing men who have been married before to become priests if they found their true calling therefore that’s the reason why the priest would have a child or may be married. I.e. the Church is making the exception to the rule. Now if it’s other religions there are pastors who are married. Don’t know their rules though when it comes for the men and marriage. I’m Catholic. Other than that, yeah it’s extremely wrong and I don’t believe for a second this person has a father who is a priest. I think she’s just a loser saying that to try to guilt trip the person.

Charlotte, the "charity-choice shaming" is real. I spent years of my life as a wildlife rehabber and I give to animal/environmental charities. I've had people act as though they want to spit on me because I don't give to the human-oriented charities they favor. The whole thing is nuts!
I had a guy sternly tell me, "Well THIS is for their children!" when I told him I had already given to the Firefighter's Club (his charity was for Firefighter's kids, can't recall the exact name). I told him he was rude and hung up.

I used to work as a babysitter for this one rich family. The mother once texted me and asked if I could babysit the child of her friend for a whole night. She would pay me FIVE(5)€ per hour, which is around 6$... I told her no, because that's like nothing. Just the way to get there would've taken me over an hour. She then started guilt tripping me. "The kid will be asleep anyways. Why do I want to be paid so much for just chilling on their couch?!?". The funny thing is that her friend lives in a wealthy part of Berlin. Anyways, I told her if her friend can't afford a Babysitter, then she most likely can't afford to be on some fancy party spendig all her money, acting all boojie. I would have said yes if her friend barley had any money, because I had to watch my mom not being able to go out, because she could barely afford food for my brother and me (or I?) when we were kids. Every single parent or parents in general deserve at least some freetime. anyways, I never babysitted their children again, because honestly, they also didn't pay me enough. 3 children and only 9€ per hour and at night only 5€. It was my first babysitter job and I was too scared to say something. The request of her friend and the mother then guilt tripping me were the last straws.

The pet sitting entry would've been totally fine if they paid. I've been a pet sitter for sole income for years and I absolutely have no problem following every single owner rule to a T. It's their baby and you should be extremely detail oriented and do exactly what the owner does to make the pet feel like nothing has changed in their routine. But my rates compensated me fully.

I have two related things on today's video. First, I have a Santa Fe and I LOVE it. Best car ever! Second. Years ago I loaned a "friend" money to help her get her license back (around $700), I had lent her smaller amounts before and she always paid me back quickly. Anyway, she kept saying she was going to have it soon. It was always coming "soon". Jump a yearish and we were both at an event. Where they did a 50/50 raffle. And she won! I was waiting for her to come to me and offer at least some of it. Nope, she went back to her tabkee and ordered a round for everyone! I lost it (I had also had a few drinks) and went off. She told me to Fuck off, that the loan was so long ago that she didn't owe it anymore 🤔. Someone else sitting with her asked WTF was going on and I explained that she owed me money. She took a hundred dollar bill and threw it at me and said "There! Now we're even". Um... No. You still owe me $600! The man that asked what was going on, snatched the rest of the money out of her hand and gave it to me. Apparently that was her brother and she owed him money too. And he was pissed the way she was treating me when she was in the wrong. It ended up being $523! At least I got most of it back. I think the brother ended up paying for the round she ordered. I thanked him and walked away. Never saw her again.....!

I have someone who has been avoiding me for decades now because I lent her 100 USD. We bumped into each other at a gas station years ago, I got "I promise I'll pay you soon" later I bumped into her mother who asked why I was never around anymore, and told her to ask her daughter. In all honesty, I was already starting to distance before I lent the money, lending it to her ensured she would avoid me like the plague and she'd be the one feeling guilty about it. PS. I knew she'd be that way after landing her 5 bucks once and hearing excuses for 3 years why she couldn't pay it back week after week. Even though I never asked her for it.
My grandfather always said don't ever lend money to anyone with the expectation of ever seeing that money again. If you're okay with giving the money, great, go for it.

Page Two of the Pet Sitter Thing: Oh, yes, you'll need to give each dog a bath and groom every other day. Make sure they are fully bathed and groomed before we return. It will make things easier on us. Pet bedding needs to be laundered every other day. I think we're low on the special detergent used for that, so you might need to pop over to PetSmart to pick up some. Make sure to get the economy size! We all have to do our part to reduce waste, as the big jugs hold more product than the small ones. Same with the cat litter.

OH BOY the recording studio one sent me. I manage a recording studio. It's about $1200 for the live room for two days if you do 10 hour days (a lot of studios only consider 8 hrs a "day"). It takes ON THE LOW END 3 hours per song... so getting it all recorded and professionally mixed is even pushing it. Mastering 9 songs with us is $441 and is a separate process that happens after you sit with the mixes for a few days. And we are purposefully lower-priced for our experience levels. They wanted all that for $400...... I'm done. If someone wanted me to quote them for a 9 song album done professionally I'd say around $2500-$3000 on the low end. (Also yes, a lot of people start sessions without knowing how their songs end - that part didn't even shock me lol. It's a process.)
@@SlimKeith11 Yeah! a lot of folks can be sticker shocked and it varies with genre. What I quoted is what you’re looking at as a band. If someone is doing some pop/hip hop/r&b, bring in preproduced music and only need to record vocals and mix then master it can be significantly less money but still not $400 haha. Also they’re usually paying for rights to that music.
I'm in a few "strangers give you money when you're struggling" groups and they always require very specific evidence to prove you're not a scammer and honestly that's what I would do if someone asked me for something I was selling for free. I'm happy to help a person in need but unfortunately would require proof that you're not just tryna get a free deal and then resell it yourself.
It takes sooooo long to mix and master recordings. I was married to a recording engineer/musician. If I sat and listened to that process, it was being water boarded. Very tedious, but I’m glad some people enjoy doing it.

Oh my Lord, the audacity of entitled people 🙄 I just remembered my time at the University where I had a "friend" who owed me lot of money 🤑 and one day she went to my dorm to asked me to pay her back about 30 dollar and I was like really 😳😳 "you want me to pay you when you owed me lot of money"? She was like, I need the money and I was like well, I can pay you the 30 bucks if you pay me back all the money 🤑 that you owed me. She got mad and told me that I was a bad friend 🙄🙄.
I always assume that when someone is looking for roommates but is being evicted and/or has an audacity list of expectations, that they are insufferable to live with. Plus if I was the house sitter I wouldn't take care of the animals I would actually turn them in for abandonment and neglect of their animals because that is basically what they did, and they gave proof of it too. I'm not doing all that for free and if they can't afford proper care for their pets while they just dropped a fortune on a vacation then they deserve to lose them too.

I feel for the pet sitter. I’m one as well. I had one pair of clients that told me I wasn’t allowed to go to the bathroom unless I took their dog into the bathroom with me anytime I went. Then the coup de grace was when they asked me to be their exclusive pet sitter which included these NON NEGOTIABLE rules: I had to drop all of my existing clients and not take on any new ones. I had to be on-call 24/7 but would only get paid when they needed me to dog sit. I was not allowed to hang out around or out of town with my friends. I was not allowed to go away on vacation with my family. I was not allowed to get a job somewhere. And I was not allowed to go to school. I basically had to sit at home 24/7 and wait for them to call me when they needed me. They were beyond S H O C K E D when I told them no, I was not going to agree to those terms and dropped them as clients. They have still yet to find another sitter who will agree to those terms 🤣
I just love how people go from kind and sweetly asking someone for something free and then when they don't get it, they hit 100 on the mean scale instead of just saying "oh okay, thanks."

PSA for whoever needs to hear it: if someone is going through the trouble of cleaning up an old electronic or any other product, taking photos of it, uploading them, writing up a description, etc.. chances are good that they NEED the money, too. There are plenty of city/county assistance programs, as well as churches, food banks, and other places that will offer help. anyways, I never babysitted their children again, because honestly, they also didn't pay me enough. 3 children and only 9€ per hour and at night only 5€. It was my first babysitter job and I was too scared to say something. The request of her friend and the mother then guilt tripping me were the last straws.

The pet sitting entry would've been totally fine if they paid. I've been a pet sitter for sole income for years and I absolutely have no problem following every single owner rule to a T. It's their baby and you should be extremely detail oriented and do exactly what the owner does to make the pet feel like nothing has changed in their routine. But my rates compensated me fully.

I have two related things on today's video. First, I have a Santa Fe and I LOVE it. Best car ever!
Second. Years ago I loaned a "friend" money to help her get her license back (around $700), I had lent her smaller amounts before and she always paid me back quickly. Anyway, she kept saying she was going to have it soon. It was always coming "soon". Jump a yearish and we were both at an event. Where they did a 50/50 raffle. And she won! I was waiting for her to come to me and offer at least some of it. Nope, she went back to her tabkee and ordered a round for everyone! I lost it (I had also had a few drinks) and went off. She told me to Fuck off, that the loan was so long ago that she didn't owe it anymore 🤔. Someone else sitting with her asked WTF was going on and I explained that she owed me money. She took a hundred dollar bill and threw it at me and said "There! Now we're even". Um... No. You still owe me $600! The man that asked what was going on, snatched the rest of the money out of her hand and gave it to me. Apparently that was her brother and she owed him money too. And he was pissed the way she was treating me when she was in the wrong. It ended up being $523! At least I got most of it back. I think the brother ended up paying for the round she ordered. I thanked him and walked away. Never saw her again.....!

I have someone who has been avoiding me for decades now because I lent her 100 USD. We bumped into each other at a gas station years ago, I got "I promise I'll pay you soon" later I bumped into her mother who asked why I was never around anymore, and told her to ask her daughter. In all honesty, I was already starting to distance before I lent the money, lending it to her ensured she would avoid me like the plague and she'd be the one feeling guilty about it.
PS. I knew she'd be that way after landing her 5 bucks once and hearing excuses for 3 years why she couldn't pay it back week after week. Even though I never asked her for it.

It will make things easier on us. Pet bedding needs to be laundered every other day. I think we're low on the special detergent used for that, so you might need to pop over to PetSmart to pick up some. Make sure to get the economy size! We all have to do our part to reduce waste, as the big jugs hold more product than the small ones. Same with the cat litter.

OH BOY the recording studio one sent me. I manage a recording studio. It's about $1200 for the live room for two days if you do 10 hour days (a lot of studios only consider 8 hrs a "day"). It takes ON THE LOW END 3 hours per song... so getting it all recorded and professionally mixed is even pushing it. Mastering 9 songs with us is $441 and is a separate process that happens after you sit with the mixes for a few days. And we are purposefully lower-priced for our experience levels. They wanted all that for $400...... I'm done. If someone wanted me to quote them for a 9 song album done professionally I'd say around $2500-$3000 on the low end. (Also yes, a lot of people start sessions without knowing how their songs end - that part didn't even shock me lol. It's a process.)

@@SlimKeith11 Yeah! a lot of folks can be sticker shocked and it varies with genre. What I quoted is what you’re looking at as a band. If someone is doing some pop/hip hop/r&b, bring in preproduced music and only need to record vocals and mix then master it can be significantly less money but still not $400 haha. Also they’re usually paying for rights to that music.
I'm in a few "strangers give you money when you're struggling" groups and they always require very specific evidence to prove you're not a scammer and honestly that's what I would do if someone asked me for something I was selling for free. I'm happy to help a person in need but unfortunately would require proof that you're not just tryna get a free deal and then resell it yourself.

I always assume that when someone is looking for roommates but is being evicted and/or has an audacity list of expectations, that they are insufferable to live with.
Plus if I was the house sitter I wouldn't take care of the animals I would actually turn them in for abandonment and neglect of their animals because that is basically what they did, and they gave proof of it too. I'm not doing all that for free and if they can't afford proper care for their pets while they just dropped a fortune on a vacation then they deserve to lose them too.

I feel for the pet sitter. I’m one as well. I had one pair of clients that told me I wasn’t allowed to go to the bathroom unless I took their dog into the bathroom with me anytime I went. Then the coup de grace was when they asked me to be their exclusive pet sitter which included these NON NEGOTIABLE rules: I had to drop all of my existing clients and not take on any new ones. I had to be on-call 24/7 but would only get paid when they needed me to dog sit. I was not allowed to hang out around or out of town with my friends. I was not allowed to go away on vacation with my family. I was not allowed to get a job somewhere. And I was not allowed to go to school. I basically had to sit at home 24/7 and wait for them to call me when they needed me. They were beyond S H O C K E D when I told them no, I was not going to agree to those terms and dropped them as clients. They have still yet to find another sitter who will agree to those terms 🤣
I just love how people go from kind and sweetly asking someone for something free and then when they don't get it, they hit 100 on the mean scale instead of just saying "oh okay, thanks."

I got a great pity discount sort of when I was pregnant. I was living in Hawai’i and had 3 huge plumeria trees in my driveway. A landscaper came by and asked if he could buy them, we agreed on a price and by the time he came back to get them I had already had the baby, he was so excited for us that he gave me an extra $1000.
