What? Delta is comprised of all kinds of special forces, seals, green berets, rangers etc You don’t leave delta to become seal, delta pulls from all branches, so that wouldn’t be possible
SEALs are better at what they do , everyone of them weather it's SF , Rangers , MARSOC, DELTA,DEVGRU or Force Recon they all have Specfic Misson set with some overlap . There's no competition, we all train together and share knowledge.

No BUDS or SQT instructors are Rangers in fact only one SEAL has ever attended Ranger School( which is not a Special Operations School and different from Ranger Regiment) and that's David Goggins. One reason for that is Ranger and Army Doctrine is completely different from that of the SEAL Teams.

Our British brothers wrote the book and we went to them to write ours. Best anti-terrorist groups in SAS. Boys know how to break it loose when they need the release. Had a blast in DC years ago.

I will just say this about that type of selection. Youre observed your not berated there is no team its all individual. Youre not gonna have someone there next to you to motivate you at all its all personal determination to make it. Depending on the army job you can apply for these type of selecitons to do different things but the intensity is different and you dont really know how hard its gonna be. Half of the comments are wrong nor have the knowledge for making their point on this type of selection. Briefs come out to all bases and is an email and if you have the basic qualifications of what it takes to apply you get an email the rest is just completing the steps to get to selection if youre authorized. There is no they come to you personally anymore. Standard briefs and then apply. Nothing complicated.
@TURTLEORIGINAL there are a few selections like this military SMs can apply to, I don't have to attend to know how individually graded selections go as they're harder than regular selections. They aren't top secret to those in the army that can attend a brief if you're qualified you'll go and if you do go it's based off yourself not qualifications. Him saying it's all individual should incline you're not working on a team during selection nor peered out.

Good idea either go to school after your in a regular army unit. Ortry to get a ranger contract. Which is a good path swell. I was never in ranger regiment . I attended ranger school back in the early 90's. Then served as a ranger instructor for over 4 years

My former Assistant Scout Master, in my old Boy Scouts Troop was on an, “A” team Special Forces 18D, Vietnam Veteran. He served 7 full years over there on various missions and once acting as a special liaison to or with the South Vietnamese Army. I had a pretty close relationship with him and his family. He was a very small built man, about 5’ 7” like me but actually lighter in weight that myself, weighing only 125 pounds, from what he said. However, he didn’t speak much unnecessarily, but when he did, he was highly intelligent. I miss him dearly. He passed away if I remember correctly, in 2017-2018. He was 88 years old. His wife was actually Vietnamese. Anyway, I take it personally, and never once heard someone say, that, “Special Forces was a waste of money.” Please, if you are being serious here, tell us here, why did you say this? I’ll close with this, my dear friend never once bragged about his service as an Army , Special Forces Combat Medic,(18D) but by what he did share with me, it certainly was a great unit that help many others on the world; helping the different indigenous peoples, learn basic skills, their own country lacked in educating them with, like well digging, water sanitation, defending themselves against the occupying Communist regimes. Thank you.
It harder to know your limits when no one is there to push you to your limits. I can go extremely harder than most when I am pushed but leave it up to me I do what is necessary no more no less

Delta guys have already gone through the process of becoming Rangers or Special Forces. No need to see if they can take abuse.
They take guys from all over had a friend they were talking to who was an MP they take other services as well
