- They increased the speed at which you sabotage hooks basically across the board, so me and some friends got together with sabo builds to abuse it and see how insane it can be when players are coordinated.

even average players can easily deny hooks by using sabo, with almost no consequences.
Sabo has been strong for a long time you don't need to be a god to get value from it even on solo denying a hook even once can win a game
@@garasb660 "Average players" also bump into walls and waste resources, so we have to consider if this can be abused at any level of play.
I never watch Tofu (or anyone else) on stream as I've not the time but i always watch him on here and it's nice to see him play survivor as I've not seen him play much in the roughly 4yrs I've been subbed. I've always been a killer main but I'd like it if he does a little more survivor if he can as other channels I've watched often have one or two streamers in it playing who kinda annoy me even if I like the person whose channel I'm on (not saying names as it'll distract from my point) but the guys Tofu was playing with here I enjoyed.
As for the new toolboxes-i really hope the new hook respawn at least makes a decent difference because being able to take a hit AND still sabo is bonkers lol great vid from Tofu again, always gives me a laugh 😊👍

When you see someone with the best sabo toolbox and addons and they don't even go trhough the sabo animation when it finishes, that means something is wrong.
The sabo speed is probably fine but it should take more charges so you can't keep doing it over and over again. 1 person off the gens for sabo, a cost of a health state when the killer slaps you and half of the toolbox's charges sounds fair to me.
Honestly, this wouldn't be too bad. The fact that a survivor can sabo 5 hooks at 100% speed is cracked (commodius with double speed addons) or 4 at even higher speeds
1 health state for a hook is definitely not fair at all survivors do their objective 4x faster so taking 1 hit to slow down the killers entire pressure is definitely not balanced the speed you sabo should never be faster than the killers recovery animation
@@MacaroniMan_ Even the perk Saboteur is faster than the killer's recovery (2.3s vs 2.7s). The actually disgusting thing is the fact it's fast enough to get away after. It's also not the entire pressure as you simply drop the person and let them start to bleed out and go after the person who sabo'ed, which can very quickly snowball if the survs don't know what they're doing.
In a standard match, you're not going to have people running the same build as Tofu in a 4 man. On the off chance they are, they're probably not as good as Tofu's squad. Trading 1 health state can be fine for the killer. The issue is how often it's able to be done with the sheer speed. It used to be a high risk, high skill thing, now there's none of either.
Personally, I think the solution is that if a killer hits a survivor they’re incapacitated for the same duration as the killer hits stun. Thus you couldn’t Sabo in front of a killer but then again that would just encourage people to double Sabo but at least that would get people off gens I guess I don’t know

I've never played with a party so I can imagine having comms makes this game a lot easier. Playing strictly solo queue, I rarely see anyone sabotage hooks.
"It's actually fine because it means people not on gens and that's good for the killer!!!" - survivor main take. Honestly, who cares if it's OP or not. What's really important here is having fun with your friends at the expense of someone else's enjoyment. That's what really counts
Have you played against this shit as the killer? Yeah it might be fun for survivors, but this is just awful to face against. Unless you play a killer with huge snowball potential, like Nurse, Blight or Oni. Then you can punish the team trying this properly. The Chucky in the last game had the right idea, but the killer just couldn’t spread enough pressure to overcome the boons, survivors splitting up and the op tool box.
God seeing that Vecna in the first match having that damn build lose was quite satisfying because when you think of it he would have had a much better chance with other non meta builds

I feel like tenacity could’ve replaced circle of healing in this build. Being able to recover and crawl into the boon would be massive for the anti-slug.

Sabo speeds before were coincidentally perfect. You needed an Alex's Toolbox before to take a hit and sabo in the killer's face. On any other toolbox even with double sabo speed you 100% take the hit even if you have Dead Hard, I have tested it multiple times and ping doesn't matter. Even with Alex's Toolbox with sabo speed on, if the killer is laggy they could still hit you if you don't have Dead Hard to spam after sabo in their face.
It would be OP if I had people to play with but as a solo que it’s rare anyone is around for a sabo so its nice to be able to pull it off when it does happen

As long as you have to bring a good toolbox and good addons to do the guarenteed sabo i dont think itll be too bad. Otherwise its way too op.

I have a friend who never played killer lecturing me about how the sped up Sabo is not op and healthy for the game.
This is also someone that wants old spinechill and iron will back because now it's "so hard to escape killers

This is a fix I can back the devs on to an extent. I see what they were trying to do. What sucks in this situation is fixing one problem opens another. This fix is good for a certain group of people that play this game but it's stressful for killer at the higher level especially when paired with survivor perks like break out, sabo and exponential. With the right team the killer is left in a damned if you do situation but not everyone plays like that.
TLDR: I don't agree or disagree with this decision and it's only as powerful as the people playing it based on skill level

stbfl ur goin down, i never ran into this problem as i run stbfl on every killer as it actually kills surviors when there deadzoned instead of letting them run across the map
I love me STBFL but even I know against a Commodius and the best addons you aren't countering it. The animation of them sabo'ing doesn't even play fully before the sabo is complete.

@@MacaroniMan_ not for sabo squad its one of best perks especially on m1 killers but i use it on all of them cos it will knock of minutes of chase time against good survivors

Had a nasty bully build going with buckle up, but not sure if it works after buckle up patch as I have not had a chance to test it yet. But even without buckle up the build should be doable. Bring the game offering so that one person can place boon COH + Expo. Then everybody brings we're gonna live forever for extra healing speed on downed people. Then everyone also brings made for this and soul guard, and the 4th perk could be like breakout or whatever else might help with tanking hits or getting people to wiggle off. Everybody brings toolboxes too to prevent survivors being hooked. You basically just keep getting downed and everyone heals the downed person and then hit takes with endurance. Killer will get a 4k at the end when everyone bleeds out so it's a win-win.

I have been saying it since the boons came to the game that they need some cooldown after killer stomps them out. They are so easy to boon back and the cooldown would not make them anyway useless just more fair to the killer who has to take time to stomp them anyway and against coordinated teams like them it does nothing without cooldown as they boon them again straightaway. It would only really effect these situations where they are abused by coordinated teams.

As a killer that's gone against this, it SUUUUCKS SO MUCH. Like.. Even just solo q matches where no one has comms can go this way. It's not exclusive to high level play and comms. They buffed them wayyy too much. The fact a commodius is able to be a 100% faster toolbox is cracked
