2 Goodyear Blimps flying at Wingfoot Lake hangar

Spirit of Innovation, a GZ-20 type blimp and Wingfoot One, a Zeppelin NT semi-rigid airship flew in tandem around Akron and Wingfoot Lake on August 24th, 2015. Goodyear is in the process of replacing their GZ-20 blimps with Zeppelin NT semi-rigid airships. This is likely the only time the 2 types of ships will fly together.

I feel sad about The Spirit Of Innovation since it is the very last Goodyear blimp to fly around the United States Of America before it retired on March 14, 2017. At least Goodyear still has it’s semi-rigid airships flying around like Wingfoot One (N1A) for example.
