Very nice and clear...thanks for posting. I'm 71 and use to tap dance and now getting ready to teach seniors early next year. My memory was never good, but worse now :)
For everyone in the comments. Tap is taught in different vocabulary and techniques so this is correct in this technique but other teachers may teach it differently.

These seem to be the 3 time steps I learned and mastered in the 60's 70's and 80's.

I haven't tap danced since I was a kid, but watching this I remembered doing these steps :D I need tap shoes now so I can try again. And a floor to dance on :P

these are fun and interesting steps, but not a double time step.

That's a triple time step
@@jtika1978 I think thats what they're referring to. She touches on triple time step but she starts it with a brush, which is not the way I learned it
When you do the brush, don't go to far back with you're leg. It will help you. It will go way more faster!

Melissa H I think all teachers teach differently cause a double for me is stomp hop flap flap step stomp hop I know that people may have their different teaching methods but I agree that she does not know what she is doing

step isn't right wither because you wouldn't be able to alternate. i think instead of a step it's stomp. but that's just me.

The way ive been taught is Step hop flap ball change.... im not sure where you were taught but...
I learnt it as shuffle hop tap spring tap step step shuffle hop tap spring tap step step shuffle hop tap spring shuffle step shuffle step shuffle ball change

It is Hop, flap, flap, step, stomp. I go to a professional dance school, so I would know.
Well, I go to a profession dance school taught by some of the Dance Masters of America so...

If you were going to a professional dance school, you should know that tap steps are taught differently depending on the region

This is wrong. Double time steps go like this: shuffle, hop, flap, fap step. And i think i would know I'm in 3 advanced tap classes. just saying. this isnt the right way
Different parts of the country also teach it differently every step has a different name in different part of the world , same steps different names.

My dance teacher teaches it wwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy different and she is way better at tap then the girl on the video
