Cossa could play tonight lol. With Husso track record he could let in 4 goals on 17 shots and get pulled. I think it’s too early for Cossa. But if they have him in the right mindset this could be good. Going up and expecting a .925 in the nhl isn’t the right mind set. Going up and getting comfortable and fight the nerves for a few games is
Cossa called up to bench warm for Husso,. who sucks.. The Wings fan in me is praying Husso finds his game. The devil on my other shoulder, who I am agreeing with more and more about this team, what's Husso to get yanked mid first period tonight and never look back. Not that isn't going to matter who's in goal with this siv of a defense.
In a perfect world, Lyon or Talbot are out long enough to give Cossa a few games to try and adjust. If he plays at the level of an NHL keeper, well that's a wonderful issue to have.
Every goalie gets lit up from time to time. All a matter of his you cone back from it. With that said, I’m certainly not betting the under in his first NHL start
Will Cossa play? Depends. Do you ride our Glass Goalie til he suffers another injury? I think it's likely we see him play, unless someone else comes back in short order.
I'll say this: I've been tuned out this season because I wasn't very pleased with our off-season. I'll tune in for Cossa's first few legit NHL performances.
I am done watching this team until someone in management does something to improve things. This is ridiculous. They have now blown leads and lost in three straight games.
Unfortunately, I am not expecting Cossa to play unless there is no other choice. Based on Lalonde’s comments, he will play Husso until the Lyon or Talbot return. I think Cossa should play tonight, or at least Thursday. No confidence Lalonde will do so
We should have dropped the old guys and brought all the young guys up already! Everyone needs a little time to adjust to NHL speed. There's about 8 players on our team that I wouldn't be worried about playing against. That's how I decide whether to trade or not.
Suuure, that’s a great idea. Let’s somehow trade all of our bad players then fill the roster with 10 teenagers with no nhl experience and in a few years manage to sign our suddenly impossibly large number of UFAs to contracts. Stanley cup next year I’d say
Way to tank Cossa’s career by bringing him up to drown on a sinking ship. Cruel and inhumane to to do a player, especially a goalie. All his confidence is about to be destroyed. Wings are a train wreck, minus any of the excitement that comes with a train wreck. It’s more like a cardboard wreck. Most boring team in the history of the NHL.
My confidence in the team isn't high, but I'm going to choose to be confident in Cossa. I think he probably understands he's up under emergency conditions and is just going to take his shot at the NHL and try to learn while he's up. It's probably only going to be a short stint since I imagine they're sending back down as soon as they can so he can play a higher percentage of the games in GR. Basically just gotta hope Cossa is tough enough to not let some bad games destroy his confidence.
Walstedt's been playing for Minnesota, another young player who must spend 5-6 yrs in the minors. Stop this over ripening minor league BS. Get out of the 1990's Yzerman and the Red Wings...Enough already
You’re wrong. Wallstedt hasn’t played an NHL game this year and only 3 last year. Cossa is very young and goalies more than any other position take time to develop. Just look at Wallstedt who was seen as more nhl ready than Cossa not being a regular yet. Askarov stillll in the AHL. Knight was AHL last season. You don’t rush a top goalie prospect and risk ruining them. Besides, goaltending has not been our problem this year
Demko plays in Vancouver, Walstedt plays in Minnesota. Your podcast should be Locked on Red Wings of the 1990's. Detroit is so behind the times it's discusting. I can't even listen to you guys anymore or Detroit's slow roll behind the times crap...It's 2024 not the 90's GET WITH THE PROGRAM🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂
Thatcher Demko was drafted in 2014, SEVEN YEARS before Cossa. I would HOPE he is in the NHL now. Wallstedt is not playing for Minny either??? He played 3 games last season and was not good, and has been underperforming Cossa’s numbers in the AHL.
Thanks for wearing a hat Brian
I hope cossa blows our minds. Making our goaltenders expendable to a trade where we can shore up holes on defense.
LMAO. This team needs a lot , LOT, of work. I'm a die hard fan all my life and loved him as a player, but Yzerman has to go.
And this is why Yzerman signed enough goalies. Injuries happen every year.

Love this kid Cossa
Lalonde will find a way to F that up. He's horrible with goalies.
How many teams have as few offensive non-contributors as we do. This is so not a goalie problem.
Lyon gonna be out 6 weeks+ , push Talbot too soon and gonna injure himself even more. Husso gonna Husso. Sooo yea I see Cossa getting net time
With Cossa being called up, it makes me think that Talbot is gonna be out at least a week ot two.
From Undesirable to Undeniable Go Lions!!!!!

Every frickin’ day
Cossa got lit up by Cleveland last game. Sure hope he's going to be okay.

@@seanr.6596 Nice grammar and spelling: "All a matter of his you cone back from it" 😎
@@Dave-fo1cbyou got me, Dave. Congrats
When I look at the Atlantic Division standing and I see the Wings near the bottom, I hope Cossa stays up for some time. What's to lose?
Will Cossa play? Depends. Do you ride our Glass Goalie til he suffers another injury? I think it's likely we see him play, unless someone else comes back in short order.
Probably will face alot of practice and warm ups before games
See how he feels first
I'll say this: I've been tuned out this season because I wasn't very pleased with our off-season. I'll tune in for Cossa's first few legit NHL performances.
What would your ideal offseason have looked like?
Same here ans been a hardcore fan since 1996. This is the first time ever I've tuned out and don't care to watch highlights at times.
@@seanr.6596 he doesn’t know he just needed some type of excuse.
My guess is he will play in one of the next two games. What is there to lose?
don't worry guy after Husso gives up 4 goals in two periods, he will be in lol
I am done watching this team until someone in management does something to improve things. This is ridiculous. They have now blown leads and lost in three straight games.
Do we try to find our version of Dustin Byfuglien or Brent Burns? Maybe try Copp or someone else on d.
Copp on D? Are you high?
Unfortunately, I am not expecting Cossa to play unless there is no other choice. Based on Lalonde’s comments, he will play Husso until the Lyon or Talbot return.

Seems the Wings have thing 'its to early for him' phobia. It was to early for Seider and Raymond. It was to early for Edvinson and Kasper.
Why TF did Edvinsson stop playing and put his hands up bitching about the non call?
Make a trade and find an experienced goaltender!
probably only up for a short stint, so the headline above is a tad misleading
Bring back Ned Harkness
Lmao, and they want us to pay for ESPN plus to watch this trainwreck?
Ummm no

You know the 10 goals given up in the last 2 games. With Husso get used to it. 🏒
