Thank you! So basically what I need is to add a consecutive in my table if this does not have it for your trick to work right?

You're welcome! And you need at least one column in the table that has an entry in every row. You could make a new column with this formula: =1

I have a Column J titled Failure Mode that employees are required to list a Failure Mode after part is inspected. I have a current pivot table that keep track of parts and status. I would like to keep track of the blank Failure Mode in the cell of that Column. How do I get the pivot table to show the amount of blanks for each employee while showing the status of work on the parts?

I'd make a new "FailCount" column in the table, with this formula: =(J2="")*1
It will return 0 if cell J2 is filled in, and 1 if empty. Add the new column to the pivot table, to get the count of "blanks"
