What was the point of the ‘age difference’ between the sisters seen in the beach scene? We have sister duos such as sweetie belle / rarity, apple bloom / applejack, etc. In the show with the same age difference, which isn’t much since they’re ponies. Plus in equestria girls it’s seen the fillies are about middle / high schoolers (young) and the adult ponies are either high schoolers or adults. So it’s not that much of an ‘age difference’ ?

You missed the part about Luna getting burns for not using sunscreen. Because having a coat isn't apparently enough.
I just like to know how her HAIR got sunburnt. Her skin is still untouched, when you think about it (except for parts such as around the nose and ears, or something). Maybe these ponies really do have vinyl skin instead of body hair.

God they felt super out of character!
They've really dumbed them down from the first two seasons when they practically seemed like demigods.
I preferred Celestia and Luna as they were early in the series, when they seemed very powerful and regal. Now it's more like they're just above average .Celestia is an alicorn who is more than 1000 years old, her magic power should be the greatest of any pony. Luna should be a close second who's power isn't quite as great because she was imprisoned for centuries. Just my opinion though

This episode made me love Celestia more than Luna. After all these years I preferred Luna over Celestia, but after seeing Celestia's adventurous side, I want to see more of that from her all the time now.

Since how one thing that factored into the mess was her not noticing Luna's suffering in time.
Here, she's not appreciating Luna's work and basically repeating the same mistakes.
For Luna's case, I think she needs therapy due to she is just bottling things up again(the writers confirmed that NMM happened due to she was bottling up her negative emotions)

Well, huge bonus sin: Am I the only one who hates that the newer writers have forced characters flaws on the princesses that weren't there before? I'm all for making characters more well-rounded but Celestia is literally a perfect princess for a reason. Centuries of ruling, and without her sister at that, along with all the guilt she felt for what she had to do to Luna, made her not sweat the small stuff. Being so immature doesn't suit her at all. Luna can be more impulsive, but this episode is pushing it even for her. Also, how many times do the princesses need to learn to respect one another's views? I know the setting and circumstances are different here, but the principle is the same.

I wished they revealed that deep down, she is actually bottling it all up with the guilt and stress of having to rule alone for 1000 years.
Would have been an interesting episode where in the end its ultimately taking its toll on her, even after Luna returns.
You're definitely not the only one. They've really dumbed down Celestia and Luna from the first few seasons when they practically seemed like demigods. And yes the new writers don't seem to be taking into account that Celestia has ruled for 1000 years and anyone who has been ruling for that long would not be acting like a fool.
I felt like there wasn’t a need to point these flaws out before because this is the first real time the focus wasn’t on both of them doing their Royal duties.
Luna does not control stars only the moon 1 sin deducted for the episode and 1 sin given to the creator of this video

Celestia and Luna just want to be able to the tasks that The Mane six do to save Equestia .Twilight wanted her and the girls take care of the duties in Canterlot with any assistants on their own . While the sisters try to take turns for their choices of things to do for their vacation .However when Luna begin to show disgust and doubt for Celestia's decisions and the same happened to Celestia on Luna's turn both were assuming they wont have anymore fun sister bonding as they continued to disagree each others choices harshly and loudly.
Which is also a problem that the girls missed the point of the issue there.
The sisters wanted to be HEROES instead of being failures here, but nope.. the girls thought the sisters just need a vacation. Nope, the sisters just want to save the day and HELP, not this.

What's wrong withe timelines and distances in this show? Also their route management is sucks.
Also yeah, i have some strange feelings by these funny faces too, they are still funny... and a little bit odd, but i don't know exactly why.

luna controls the moon not the stars, if she did control the stars then she would be able to control the sun as well, as the sun is a star too

If Celestia can do that, then Luna can raise the sun.

The nickname easily become annoying more than they should be cute. Their actually names are the ones you barely see in fanfiction, because the writers are apparently lazy, and don't care about what the readers think about their work. When you call the SPIRIT of Chaos a GOD, your fanfictions aren't worth reading, 'Cause you don't pay attention. Does having incredible magic make you a God? No, just look at Doctor Strange, do you see him as a God? What about Zatanna? You don't, so don't see Discord as one, when he is a SPIRIT. People should pay attention to facts. You are probably not paying attention to this, but you should. Be smart.
