I'm glad to see an episode dedicated to kids during a divorce. The CMC was on summer break. The Empire State Building was built in 20 months so a small earthen bridge and the extension of an existing train line should not be that impressive. The main 6 used the train to get close to the edge of Equestria during the movie. They would of had to use it to get there so quickly. I thought it was said that only one orb shard was given to each tribe (family).

This episode pushes the narrative 'Scootaloo can't fly' (even though freaking Bulk Bicep can, so I already call bullshit) So... they have the magic to alter a filly's anatomy so radically that she can breath underwater, yet they can't just magically fix her wings? Mind you a GOD and someone who may as well be a god live at the local library... Not to mention fluttershy's boyfriend is a god...

Characters with similar wing to body mass ratios can fly, like Bulk Bicep. 2.She has been shown to have the pegasus's ability to walk on and manipulate clouds so at the very least she could 'surf' though the sky on a cloud. 3.If they have the magic to turn ponies into fish and bugs, then they have the magic to just magically fix her wings if there is some physical impairment. Not to mention there are at least three characters in ponyvielle alone who could likely accomplish this.
This conflict was played entirely too safe. The idea of the parents choosing to separate was confirmed to me with the line "you look well," but this episode refused to lean into it. Maybe they weren't actually allowed to do so. But if that's the case, I'm now worried about how the supposed episode with Trixie's dad is going to function if the show is almost forbidden from even acknowledging non-nuclear families.

i think it's worth mentioning that most of the Map-related episodes have the ponies who get called/sent disagreeing about how to solve the problem, and trying several things before getting it right.

Aris was literally a dilapidated ghost town in the movie. Paper underwater...there's no way it should have survived. Also, why does Twilight need a form like that to be signed by both parents? Even the Hogsmeade form at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series only requires one signature from a parent or guardian. What if someone only has a single parent? Come to think of it, why does Twilight need a written signature at all when she's insisted on doing things off the book anyways? She should be ok with even informal consent by a parent.
Just because she’s not doing things the EEA way doesn’t mean she’s gonna be completely disorganised. She’s Twilight. Besides, it makes record-keeping easier to have written consent. Unless you expect Twilight to memorise which students out of the entire cohort had parents who said “yes”. Also, I don’t think the Mount Aris thing is necessarily unrealistic.
