That Rikhard pair looks pretty good
I just bought a pair of Barton Perreira 'Hillix' this week and I love them for a more formal look. You can dress them down a bit in a business casual style as well.
Nice choice!
I love the rectangular frames. I wear them for work, to give a more formal and serious look on purpose lol
The [NOT] Common, I purchased back in 2022 based on your initial gast video. You can't go wrong with them, especially in their grey acetate.
I hope to one day do something with the lenses, I'm thinking something orange to contrast the cool grey/gray frame. They are a solid second pair of sunglasses..
Awesome choice! Orange would look really nice
A new Cartier video would be 🔥
Hi Robert, what tint would you recommend for the Masunaga black frames?
Thanks to your reviews, I've finally found an optician near me in the US that sells both Reykjavik Eyes and Masunaga frames. Will probably end up with the Rikhard you've been showing as my daily work glasses, and maybe some Masunaga frames for going out.
How do you feel about ic! Berlin?
Which optician is that? I'm also looking for a place that sells REs in the US.
Gast Nor Common is the BEST value in going stylish. Amazing eyewear and won't break the bank
How do I find a Robert and a Spectacle Factory in Los Angeles? I love seeing the glasses and all the options, but in the end I can't see buying expensive luxury glasses without trying them on first.
It’s fine. I’ve ordered through him. He will get your fit right.
Hope Vision Care in Torrance carries some of these (Barton Perreira, Masunaga).
@@beaglesnlove580 I couldn't find a way to do a virtual consultation with them. Wouldn't take my zip code or phone number here in the states.
Top 5 underrated glasses so far this year
Can you do video: Glasses comfortable for headphones?
L.A. Eyeworks Wells😊 they feel so good in my hands.
Very hard to choose to get a 2nd pair, which has sufficient contracts. The crystal frames look good, but then I have to ask would they suit me?
The Masunaga frame in the video is definitely the model 000, not the One Hundred. The difference is subtle, but I ordered one of each to compare them and chose to keep the One Hundred and return the 000, though both are excellent.
Great video - many thanks. What are the best combination frames - I mean acetate frames with titanium temples?
We need the transistions gen s color comparisons!
The Reykjavik Eyes Rikhard in green look cool. Question: for a mild prescription in RE frames, does regular plastic versus trivex really make a difference in such frames from a weight perspective?
@@agnesolsvik that does not sound like much in terms of weight. Thank you for the comment
Are rectangular glasses better for higher strength progressive lenses?
Also I had an optician recommend a narrower frame for progressive lenses (narrower meaning top to bottom of the frame, the width could be however wide of frame one needs). Because to make the lenses lighter/adds less weight to frame. The optician also said you will get a better field of vision because the sides won't be distorted as much. Is this info accurate? Thanks
Generally you want to go narrower horizontally and wider vertically
If you had to choose three of the best sunglasses for you, what would you choose? Make and model. That the price is irrelevant. I'm a big fan of yours and you really do a great job and that's why I'm interested in your opinion
I got a pair of Gast caramel frames (the NEDI) and the only downside is the translucent acetate refracts light in an uncomfortable way. If I had to do it over again I would have gone with Havana or straight black.
I own crystal frame and the kind of blind me in the sun. Do you notice that a lot from customers?
Yeah, if it's a fully transparent frame that can happen
Isn't that Masunaga 000, not One Hundred?
What about Thierry Lasry or Gentle Monster?
100 vs 000?
Where can I find these in the US?
Reykjavik eyes Runar is missing IMO
Great point! How did I miss that one?! I think because I was trying to select a truly minimalist option
Robert, why do you not let people know acetate, CH3COOH, is a plastic?
Links?
We have them all in stock. Just email us via hello@thespectaclefactory.com and we can set up a custom order for you.
The Gast with a blue lens 🤔
I'd say green personally
possibly @@thespectaclefactory
Cartier CT0049O
Regular price£2,350.00 at Maverick & Wolf - if that isn't a perfect example of the Emperors Clothes, I don't know what is. Totally Cuckoo.
The algorithm has been playing games... I've not been receiving notifications 😕
I would think someone from UK would say Cutler & Gross.
They are nice, for sure
Wouldn't mind seeing reviews of inexpensive legal 'clones' of some of the "best" glasses.
You have a square head and an angular jaw and look best in round glasses. Think of us poor round-faced people.
Hey Robert, for someone so pretentious, you like to pretend ray ban is evil and gast is great. But reviewing your own lasts you talk crap about gast.
Didn't like the Porsche at all, loved the Reykjavik Rikhard, Masunaga, & Gast.
Yeah, not my taste either, but some people want that look
Dissenter here - those Porsche Design frames (and lenses) look terrific. Both minimal and noticeable at the same time, which is hard to pull off. Not just the frame shape is unique, but the color too...like a car paint blue. The only thing that I don't like is their name on the outside of the frame, instead of the inside!
