    Who made the best choices? Me for Adam? Or Adam for Me? Let us know 👇

    • @robert15john
      @robert15john 2 года назад +2

      Me for Adam.
      The reason I gave it to Rob is down to lens choice. The 'Pegase' seemed under-utilised with a clear lens. I'd suggest photo-fusion brown to match the chocolate brown leather if you wanted to keep it toned down. This way, you still get the desired clear lens look indoors, but also the versatility to use them outdoors too. Then you'd get more use out of them which means you'll also get the desired worn look and leather patina sooner which Rob likes.
      Also, the Gucci frame is really cool, but I'd swap out the lenses with sun adaptive lenses. ( I remember Rob saying in his videos that if he had only one pair of sunglasses, it would have to be sun adaptive). So then he'd have almost the same versatility as the Cartier Blue & Beyond glasses.
      'Adam for Me' was a very close second though 👍

    Just stumbled across this channel after receiving my first ever prescription in my late 40's and looking for ideas. Terrific information in this video and a really personable and attentive way of selecting glasses for another person. Just a shame you're 2.5hrs away. FWIW I really like the Reykjavik Eyes frames. Understated but stylish.

    My mother has had photophobia for three years now and has been diagnosed with AMD in 2009 which is well controlled with injections.
    In remission 6 years.
    She is driving this year and the overcast skies are very painful. She lowers the sun visor to do away with the sky. I’ve heard that pink lenses cut out the blue light. Any suggestions?

    I have a question for everyone! I have a pair of Mr Leight Doheney (Rosewood colorway) frames. I want to change the lens because the original lens have a strange gradient that ends up in the middle of my eye and it does become slightly intrusive. That being said. Which color lens should I get for those frames? I have no idea what color would be a good match for them

    • @thespectaclefactory
      @thespectaclefactory  2 года назад +1

      That's a great question. Beautiful frame but hard to pair lens-wise. If they were my sunglasses, I'd personally install a Hoya Sensity Shine brown lens which has the most beautiful rose gold mirror - to play with the rose gold plating of the frame.
      They would also be photochromic so retain around 20% tint indoors making them great for general wear, but would be full sunglasses when necessary.
      That said, you could also go for a fixed tint or polarised version if preferred. The key is the rose gold mirror IMO.

    • @mikerotch6068
      @mikerotch6068 2 года назад

      Thanks for the help! It really is tough to find a tint that works for it 😂 if I got red lens the outer rim would blend in with it. Gold would look good colorwise but I’m not really a fan 🤔 but I’ll definitely consider what you suggested!
