i want to learn scale progression and chord scale connections.but if i tab on one and then i see if i play one the scale with that tab with circles (music theory i don't understand yet).. can u also make this simpler that i can learn that or is it only for if you already know all those things

HI Thanks for the tutorial, I have one question, so I am a sax player I need the written chord in a different key to the backing track. so my tenor sax is a full tone up from concert and an alto is a minor 3rd down from concert. is it possible on ireal pro to have the written chords play the correct chords while the backing track continues in concert pitch?
Good question! Not to my knowledge but maybe another sad player will chime in. You might either have to memorise the chords or open up a real book.
Under 'Settings/General/Transpose Instrument' you can change to Bb, Eb ... instruments

Is there any way to have the bassline just play the roots in iRealPro? This could be useful for ear training.
Yes select long notes then turn on bass and remove piano
@@jamieholroydguitar Thanks! Just tried it and seems quite useful to hear pure root movements. I did notice though that the bass with long notes is now bowed and often sounds like it is very deep in the bass register. Do you happen to know if there any way to control the range of the bass to keep it from sounding so low?

I purchased iReal Pro on my iphone, but I am not able to download it on any other of my apple devices without paying again. Do you know how I can fix that?

How about learning how to finger chords...many of you IREAL pro guys just gloss over that component.....how can i use it to ALSO Learn the fingering to chords on Guitar.

How is this better/worse than Band-in-a-Box.
I have both. BIAB is an order of magnitude more complex and goes way beyond merely using for practice. I use it to create a backing track for church prelude music to which I then add myself on live guitar. iRealPro does not include the melody due to Copyright issues, and cannot be modified to do so. BIAB provides that option, although I cannot use that function in a live setting for the same Copyright reason. That said - if you want to learn the melody, BIAB is great. I also write music and BIAB provides Nashville-level musicians which which to play. So, I get to write a song, then have Brett Mason play it with me! Too Kool!

@@jazzcat1056 I'm hoping that was a typo- did you mean 2020? I have always felt my ability to learn the new features will never catch up to the effort PG Music puts into the product. I merely upgrade to "reward" PGMusic for their fantastic product. If I could take a College Semester Course on BIAB I'd sign up!
