My favourite apps are Josh's RUclips channels. 😇
Just picked up the Bass. 57 yo and having a great time playing and following your program.
Thanks
This was incredibly helpful, thank you so much!
Awesome! That iRealPro sounds cool. I love what you did with the melody when you bent the D note up to an E. Mary Christmas to you Josh.
You’re a legend josh have an awesome Christmas and Happy New Year👍
Thank you for all you do
First! Have a great christmas Josh! Thank you for all the excellent content in 2020.
Thanks Henry, you too!
Yes to for once in my life. Gorgeous song
Yey new video ❤️
Happy Holidays Josh, love your work :) Another FREE full featured DAW is Cakewalk by BandLab
Great video
found out today that josh also has this youtube channel! i only knew the bassbuzz channel. thanks for the app tips, will practice with the drum loops and download garage band for iPad for sure :)
I liked the part where you played the first two notes of the Star Wars theme in that app.
I liked the rest too, but that part was awesome.
The metronome is excellent and it is double the price as is the drum app for IMac but both good thanks for the info Josh
We need a new version of this ❤
Hurray It's Josh!!
Please do a tutorial on what is hip...I love this Josh than the Josh from bass fuzz coz this Josh helped me a lot during my early phase.....ummmmm don't be disheartened I love both the channels ...
Thanks
I'll vouch 100% for Transcribe.
What are the shortcomings of the Snark tuner? I've heard phone tuners, although free, are so-so since phones are designed to pick up voice frequencies but not great for bass frequencies.
Josh I recently came across "tied notes" in a song, could you explain and demo a little more in a future video, thanks.
I saw in some comments in the course that you will release a sequel to Beginner to Badass. Will it be aimed at more advanced players? Will it contain more music theory? I'm enjoying B2B a lot so far, and I'd be very happy to see another course like it
A sequel would be great.....I learned bass late and I've learned more from the Beginner to Badass Cd set and the BAssbuzz videos than anywhere else.
I want a drum loop that has a NOFX style punk drum loop. Do you guys know what app might have punk style drum loops?
Hi Josh! Do you have tips for Android devices? 😃
Hey man, cool videos. I just started playing bass a couple months ago, and I'm pretty comfortable playing sitting down, but as soon as I stand up, it's like I've completely lost any competency I had. Other than spending more time playing standing, do you have any suggestions about getting comfortable with things like the weight of the bass, strap length, etc. I'd like to play it slung low, like Duff from Guns n Roses, but I feel like it has to be super high to mimic the position of me playing sitting down. Thanks!
This is actually a super good Question . Thx!
Not sure if this is the right answer, but I only practice standing up. Learning standing up and then sitting to play is way easier than the opposite to me.
Can u suggest any free to use looper for songs or specific sections
Just realized this the same guy in bass buzz
What app that comes with all . Does IReal give me everything I need
It’s not too jumpy aroundy 😂
What do you use to show what happens on your phone/iPad as you use it ? ( real question and cool pretext to say how much I appreciate your work )
or you just screencat / record what you do and merge it after ... yop, I fee stupid - ha ha - keep on the great work.
Is there an app out there for those that are not tech oriented where you can simply select something like a 1-4-5 in the key of A and it plays back guitar chords that you can play along too ? I've looked at a few and they either don't offer up something that easy and simple, or you have to dig through instructions to get there.
Any luck?
Josh I gotta ask, why are you still active on this channel when you have bassbuzz, which has a much higher following?
Wait no more bass buzz or was I following two of your channels without noticing?
Two channels! BassBuzz is still cookin. :)
But good rips
If you like Transcribe, check out SoundSlice.
You left out gStrings.
iReal Pro to die for.......plus I like the fact you don't play a ten thousand dollar bass.....
One question... One advice...
How do I approach to play iron maiden.... Starting from their second album.. Killers.. any hack... I use songsterr.. the free version n my ears suck anyways... So if u have a formula.. plz share
practice
Hehe....whip it out.
Did my first yt vid . today and "record yourself and listen to it" is a good tip!
