what great tutorial!! Thank you so very much! i have a yamaha dgx670 that comes with a lot of accompaniment but i am heading to the play store and purchase this ireal pro now!! Thanks million.
Wonderful lesson. I have watched it a dozen times. Question. You mention while playing right hand chords "taking it down a third" What does this mean? Also I would love a video just discussing all the little passing notes and flourishes you add to make your chords sound so full and varied. I admire how relaxed and encouraging you are. You inspire confidence! Thanks again for this great video.
Extremely helpful, Thank You. Why did I not do this before? Because I was muddled thinking chords were dependent on scales. Now I realise that music is dependent on intervals. There are only 7 Natural tones, every scale is a standard set of intervals and so is every chord of which 4 cover most so Maj, Min, Aug and Dim. Pick any root and you know any scale and any chord if you remember the intervals. Thanks Glen .
Im not familiar with a lot of the songs. I wished theyd include melodies. Not a huge problem as i can find them on RUclips once i get the chords down 😊
Question: what is the main reason that inversions are used as opposed to the root - is it to stop your right hand jumping all over the place or are there other reasons? Thanks Glen.
