I was a freshman at UM when he won the Heisman and we shared the title. He's always been my favorite Wolverine. Not just because of the awards, but because he has always embodied the true Michigan Man.

Glad he came back & helped lead Team 144 to the Natty.🏆 Happy we could watch him this year, given JJ McCarthy's torn meniscus & (Team 142) Aidan Hutchinson's tib-fib fracture. We've got 39 active Wolverine alums in the NFL . . . plus Coach Jim Harbaugh w/ the Chargers [Sad he's not in A^2, but he had to leave given the NCAA & their BS show-cause penalty.] It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine! 🎉

Always appreciated Woodson's & Desmond Howard's time at Michigan. Caught both of their picks Saturday before The Game but Woodson's was legendary w/Meyer right beside him...gave me hope that he (& Des) would be right.

Best Michigan win over Ohio State since Bo Schembechler’s first “GO BLUE” team beat Woody Hayes’ (the) Ohio State University “TEAM OF THE CENTURY” 24-12 in 1969.
That was a glorious win, biggest upset -- until now. But I think this is even better and sweeter because the 1969 UM team was ranked, played at home, and not as much of an underdog (17.5 that game compared to 19.5 this year). This UM team was also playing without two of their best players, possible NFL first-round draft picks with cornerback Will Johnson and tight end Colston Loveland. And tailback Donovan Edwards - who had 75- and 85-yard touchdown runs in the blowout win two years ago in Columbus - was injured in the first half and couldn’t return to action. All said, fantastic game by UM.

My Dad was there when I was 2, his best friend was a Michigan grad and they took a bus from Fremont, Ohio to the game. We were from Ohio and of course Dad was a Buckeye fan. After the game, he became a Bo fan and a Michigan fan and I am still 55 years later.

Was a.student at Michigan w Chuck W. (1992-1996) and there for the '95 game which OSU was also favored heavily w Eddie George Heisman winner. Charles and crew took care of biz.

The Buckeyes' coacheas and players were so thoroughly confident in their superiority that they believed they could forego their obvious offensive advantage on the perimeter and beat Michigan by going right at the D line, M's most elite unit, playing the game the Wolverines' way, just so they could say "We're tougher than they are." And then the game kicked off ...

This win reminds me more of 1993 1995 1996. OSU was usually ranked #2 and Michigan derailed their NC hopes.

I honestly believe there was more to underwood's decision than just money. His HS was the Tigers and same colors as LSU- almost seemed like a continuation. The fact he is a Michigan kid already- i just I think it was more than just money.
I think another angle was Brian Kelly coached in Michigan at GVSU and knows the state well..... so he used that familiarity with a state of Michigan for the sales pitch. Not sold on Underwood yet as another school may make another NIL sales pitch.....OSU?

I've spoken enough about The Game, I wanna mention something about The Heisman.
If Travis Hunter doesn't win in one of the biggest voting blowouts ever...something is wrong. The Boise State kid is PHENOMENAL. Terrific.
But Hunter is the single best football player in the country. To hear Woodson agree with that feels good because athletes can often feel covetous or pride in having records or, in his case, being the only defensive player to win it...bu doing some two-way play.
No, for Woodson to emphatically say that Hunter deserves it is telling and righteousness. For a kid to produce as a starting CB and WR at the level he does has not been seen...ever? Maybe go back to the early 1900s or something?

"Aging well" cracks me up... No TTUN fan aged 9-102 has a "winning record" against the Buckeyes. As years go on, it has been aging much better for the Buckeyes. (Would love a "star defensive player's" perspective - removing the OSU-TTUN aspect - on the key play of the game, Mulling's 3rd & 6 run from the defensive perspective, particularly Sawyer's. He beats Link, Link is head-and-shoulders behind Sawyer, Sawyer squares to contain any pop-out by Mullings, then "miraculously" gets swung backwards to free up Mullings. What is the defensive star take on that from Sawyer's perspective? Recognized that PI is subjective and can be called every other play for either side, an illegal block like this is cut-and-dry - how was it not called. With the correct call, the outcome is completely different.)
I think Hunter will win the Heisman, but we'll look back at it like Westbrook's MVP. A deserving player got the award no doubt, but narrative played a massive role as well

As an Ohio State Buckeyes fan, I understand the frustration following our loss to Michigan. However, it’s important to recognize that nearly every team in the playoff race has faced a loss to a lower-ranked opponent. Despite this setback, Ohio State has earned a spot in the playoffs, which speaks to the strength and resilience of our team. While Michigan won’t be participating in the postseason, Ohio State will be, and that’s a significant accomplishment in itself.
I also want to clarify that not all Buckeye fans speak the same way. It’s unfair to stereotype an entire group based on the actions of a few. I have always tried to be supportive and respectful, even rooting for you in the Alabama game, when many SEC fans were quick to claim dominance over the Big Ten.
It’s unfortunate that some choose to take joy in others’ misfortune, but in the end, Ohio State’s playoff berth speaks for itself. We’ll be on TV, competing in the postseason while Michigan will be watching from home. That’s something to be proud of.
Losing to a lower opponent is one thing but not your arch nemesis. That's different and you know it.

I grew up in AA and have been watching Michigan football since the 60's. Trust me, I and probably most of us would rather beat OSU than make the playoffs if those were our only two choices. At his point in time, Michigan has had a better season than OSU. And I suspect that you know that is true.

If you seriously think OSU has a prayer in the playoff, you are crazy. Day spent the 364 days leading up to the game preparing them to beat MI as an almost singular focus. Losing it in such humiliating fashion destroys his credibility & makes rallying their belief to the extent that it takes to win a Natty damn near impossible. That loss broke their spirit & I dont think they would even beat Indiana or Penn State if they faced them in a few weeks, let alone somebody like Oregon or Georgia.
