I have the LT model and haven’t experienced any issues with the onStar feature. Had a free trial for OnStar when purchasing the vehicle and used the Chevy app . You might need to renew the subscription or reprogram that feature onto the vehicle.

The 2024+ Trax is a nice vehicle on the surface and has a lower starting price compared to other comparable CUVs, but I think GM cut a lot of corners to get the price low. They're having a ton of electrical/electronic issues and some build quality issues. Also looking at the engineering specs of the engine, I foresee it being a nightmare after the warranty runs out. An engine with a turbo, GDI fuel injection, with a wet timing belt (not a chain). They say the timing belt should last the life of the engine, but they also say in the owner's manual that the belt should be replaced at 150k miles. So are they saying the life of the engine is 150k miles? I just don't trust this car. If you're considering an upper trim Trax priced around $25k+, just get one of the competing CUVs in this segment for similar money. They're much better engineered and better built. The Honda HRV, Toyota Corolla Cross, Mazda CX30, Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos. All start around $25-$26k.

It's new they should cover that I want one because it's cheap. I wondered if premium would do anything to make turbo engine last longer 3 cylinder the equinox 1.5 engine would have been perfect for that car

My wife just bought the new 2024 Trax LT and she is having a problem with the wifi and our phones connecting. Chevy said car just needs a software update but they are too knew to have an update.

Does it just say saved when you try to connect?

@magicwheelofcrypto3738 Our phones are connected but sometimes they just disconnect out of nowhere and the wifi does the same thing. One of my fellow car club members said when he first got his Dodge Charger brand new back in 2017 that he had the same issues but after about 6 months there was an update and he had no problems after that.

I just got a 2025 and my wifi and blue tooth keeps disconnecting. Also, I can feel the engine vibrating sometimes, don't know if that should be happening, but I'm taking it in to be inspected

@nickysb539 Yea, the dealership had to end up replacing some module in the radio and now it finally works correctly.

Car manufacturers are always in a big hury to sell new cars, there is always some glitches they dont work out first, and a lot of them are just passed on to the customers who then have to deal with the headache of trying to get it resolved at the dealer, and alot of times they cant seem to fix the issue, all this after over paying with the ripoff prices you have to pay, and the damn thing isnt offered with awd anymore, and guttless compared to the last generation, so they should be happy to buyback this thing😉

That's odd that only the new Trax would be effected by the issue with Onstar. I know the software for the infotainment is new for the Trax so that's probably whats causing it. I had test driven the new Trax before deciding to get a Blazer and I setup Onstar since it's free for the first month but I hardly have any use for it. I did like the Trax overall though, just a little too small for my needs.

Definitely a known issue. OnStar module was replaced and there is still a problem. They continue to mass produce these vehicles knowing there is an issue. People think they have crash response when they don't and the wifi doesn't work. I'm returning mine soon tried to give them a chance to fix it but no luck. I thought the blazer was smaller or you may be referring to the engine size. 🤔

@@magicwheelofcrypto3738 The blazer is a step above the equinox. I know the blazer comes with a 2.0 V4 turbo but mine had the optional 3.6 V6 and it has plenty of power and more towing capacity than the V4.
