I'm rather mad about the 24 Trax no towing rating. I also have a 14 Cruze Turbo. It's approved for 1k lb trailer. The Trax has more torque, same HP, better brakes, same weight, same trans., longer...And it cant tow??? WHY? So I'm towing with my 14 Cruze. They WILL deny powertrain warranty on the Trax with a hitch. I'd bet on it.
So no wiring harness needed ?? How about posting a video of the install of the wiring harness. How to run and where to run the 30’ of wiring to the battery
If you'll be towing, you'll need a wiring harness. We recommend the Curt # C93ZV. We don't have a video yet, as we haven't had that vehicle through our facility yet, but I'll link you to the install instructions which I hope you'll find helpful. As far as running the power wire to the battery goes, the only hard and fast rules are to avoid routing the wire near anything that's hot or moving, so you'll want to stay well away from steering, suspension and exhaust components. We have a help article that addresses this, I'll link you to that as well. www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Chevrolet/Trax/2024/C93ZV.html assets.curtmfg.com/masterlibrary/56514/installsheet/56514_INS.pdf www.etrailer.com/faq-Routing-a-Power-Wire.aspx
@@billdempsey9704 Either we didn't have the part in stock, or the vehicle owner was using the hitch as a mounting point for a hitch mounted accessory, not for towing. Otherwise, we would've filmed it.
I've ran the 12 ft power wire to the battery twice now on a 12 and 14 Cruze. Once outside and once inside. Never liked the outside. The inside went through the firewall rubber insulator at drivers feet. There is a blank spot for it. Then tuck the wire under the plastic doorsill plastic then onward into trunk. Like that MUCH better.
The short answer is no. The longer answer? Purchasers of aftermarket automotive accessories are protected by the Magnussun-Moss Federal Warranty Act. To summarize a bit, the act states that vehicle manufacturers cannot deny warranty coverage unless they can prove that the added accessory actually caused the problem that the vehicle owner is seeking warranty coverage for. This being said, the owner's manual specifically states that you shouldn't tow with the vehicle. However, if you want to install a trailer hitch like the # C75VV for a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack carrying no more than two bikes or a cargo carrying tray, you'll be good to go. Hope that helps! www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C75VV.html

Believe you measured clearance incorrectly; vehicle is currently on a lift. Should be measured on flat ground for clearance
That's true, thank you! We'll have that fixed.

Does this violate the car’s warranty

Can you tow with 2024 trax? Like a jetski
@@antd2733 it’s not rated to tow, void the warranty and only a small 3 cylinder already under pressure with the turbo. I wouldn’t
There is a blockage with that front hole.
How so? Can you please explain further?
