Hello Michelle, I own a business and I cannot reach it due to the loss of my mobile phone. I sent an ownership request and more than 15 days have passed. A postal code was requested and the postal code has not reached me yet. What are the correct steps to verify my business? Thank you.
Sad. I don't know why they do. I suffered this sometimes ago I appealed many times to no a avail. Thanks to XSOLVE.1 who helped to restore mine. I still remember I got XSOLVE.1 on
I’m on the opposite situation. Somehow while I was using Google maps, a business got attached to my name that I have nothing to do and I can’t get rid of it! I tried removing it in the settings no luck. I contacted Google support and they said I have to book an appointment with them and they would send an email but I never got it.
Hi there! I've never run into this. Odd... Maybe this support doc will help-or contact Google directly (there's a "Contact Us" section at the bottom of this page): support.google.com/business/answer/3415281?hl=en&visit_id=638055914978891874-3794245027&rd=2#roles&zippy=%2Cunderstand-profile-owner-manager-roles
Hey Mike. I just did the Request access to manage this business. Since 3-4 days there are no response from google yet. I think the one who took my business owner account is purposely not reply back and waiting for me to sent google my statements and tax bill. They try to delay as long as possible. Am I still able to get my account back? I just get my account back at apple map it took less than 2 hours for apple map. But google been 4 days now
Most likely you will have to Suggest an Edit on the listing itself OR contact Google Support. support.google.com/business/topic/11497550?hl=en&ref_topic=11498229
not sure abt this but in some case, if you can prove that u're owner like u have signage photo or website...it might take time less than 14 days.......but depends on ur case as well
The process has changed slightly, but you should get a response from Google in 3-7 days. Here's the link to the help doc which explains the process: support.google.com/business/answer/4566671#storefront The help doc says to click "Claim this business", but this seems to have changed and the new option to click is " Own this business?" From there, the process is the same.
Hi Stefany. Google My Business has made it a little harder to contact them these days (and I believe they also removed the form that I feature in the video... unfortunately). But here are some options... Option 1) Verify via phone - To do this, you can go through the steps as if you are adding a new business on Google My Business. Once you start typing the business name, Google will show you a list of existing businesses that match that name, find the existing business you are wanting to claim and select it. Then you should be able to verify yourself as the owner via telephone provided you are able to answer a call from Google to the number listed on the business listing (they will provide a code you will need to enter). Option 2) Contact Google - This has gotten a little more challenging, but is still possible via email. To do so, log into Google My Business. Look for "Support" and click. Scroll down to "Contact Us". Walk through the prompts (filling in options and clicking "Next") until you get the the "Contact Options" which will allow you to email Google with your issue. (They will also show you some additional resources that might help you tackle the issue yourself).
Some jerk claimed my business right after my ownership expired, talk about luck. Then posted their crappy website. It should be illegal for someone to this.
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm assuming you're referring to your domain name, correct? Your best shot at getting it back is by using a domain broker service, where basically they find and reach out to the new owner on your behalf and try to negotiate a purchase. This service is available through GoDaddy, domainagents.com, or wherever you buy your domains. It's not a sure thing... and, if you are successful, you'll likely end up paying more than you originally paid for it (unfortunately). You could always consult with an attorney to explore legal options, although I don't believe it's illegal.
I just got an email that someone or a scammer was requesting ownership Even though I rejected it there was a msg stating they could still get ownership if they proved they were the owners... ownership fail safe
Is the person who controls the listing denying your request? If so, are you able to contact this person directly? If not, I would just keep repeating the request process in this video. If that doesn't work, try contacting Google support via Google My Business. (Although they might not be much help since their position is whomever set up the listing has the right to it, even if you are the business owner - I've run into this before). Here's a video showing you how to contact Google support: ruclips.net/video/3L5DlZFKklw/видео.html
@@MichaelQuinnSEO we're going through a similar problem and the person who randomly claimed ownership is asking for money to get it back? Do we have any legal rights against them?
How do I recover my Google listing if someone claimed my listing? I do remember I rejected the request that was sent to my email, but somehow the did gain access and now it does not let me reply to my customers reviews 🙃 😑 I am very upset about this and I don't know how to fix it. In that case, you can simply walk through the steps as if you were adding a new business on Google My Business. Find the existing business (it should appear as an option). Then walk through the verification steps. It should allow you to verify by phone. Once complete, you should then be an "owner" on the business profile.

What happens if the current owner keeps sending 'site manager role" only. Just let the clock run for 7 days anyways?
Yeah, wait the 7 days, then try again.
