I chose to go with the original P365 over the X or the XL. And the reason I did is because I wanted options. And the original 365 is the only pistol of the three that you really have options with. Because of the shorter grip, you can go with a 10 rounder for really deep concealment, you can go with a 12 rounder to get a little more of a purchase on the gun, or you can go with the 15 round magazine and get the full loadout of a Glock 19 in a gun that is a lot smaller and slimmer. Just something to think about for people who may be trying to figure out which one to get.
Good points, but the X model has an upgraded trigger that for some is enough of a reason to get the X over the standard model. I initially wanted the standard for the reasons you mentioned. But after shooting all 3 versions it was an easy decision to go with the XL, as it simply shoots vastly better then the two smaller versions. Yes, it’s a tad bigger and a tad heavier, but the extra weight and size simply makes the gun shoot better, faster follow-up shots, and far more accurate at longer ranges. Just something to think about for people who may be trying to figure out which one to get. :)
@@8654ZuluFoxtrot it’s upgraded because it is a little more flattened than curved? It’s the same material, same travel, same pull. But it looks different, so it’s upgraded. Got it

Great video! I absolutely love my P365X and carry it every day, it replaced my Hellcat in that capacity. I chose the Hellcat over there original P365 as I just found it lacking and just wasn't for me, but the P365X changed all that.
Should revisit the hellcat with the 15 round mags, then get a true precision threaded barrel and HBI micro comp. I use the swampfox sentinel Auto for red dot. Incredible pistol. Much better than the 365xl imho.
@@Spocklee The fantastic grip, the optics cut slide, the great flat faced trigger, the Sig night sights are great for me, it's got the 12rd flush fit magazine capacity, plus the magwell has a nice little flair and the extended beavertail all these things just knocked it out of the park for me.
I bought the TAC PAC (P365-Holster--3-12 round mags--Holster). The first thing I did was take the short grip off and installed a XL grip module....Perfect carry set up!!!
Great video! I got the P365 when it first came out and it became my warmer weather EDC ever since. Eventually upgraded the grip module to the XL tan, upgraded to the flat trigger, and installed LF365 Elite tan slide w optics cut and mounted the Swampfox Sentinel for the optics. Looks nice & custom but it definitely costed more than just getting this new P365X
I carry the XL appendix and can honestly say, I prefer the extra .5 on the barrel as it has nothing to do with conceivability and it gives me more recoil management and sight radios.
So here’s what you’re gonna do. Get yourself a 365, cause it’s awesome. Then you go to Wilson combat and get a 365XL frame for 70 bucks, and can very simply by hand transfer the slide and fire control grouping/mag release. Then you have both frames readily available, and a p365x.
@ the frames are the same length, so the slide swaps without issue. The extra length on the XL comes entirely from the slide and barrel, not the frame. ruclips.net/video/5A_F9J9LRHY/видео.htmlsi=658uKta34ieCci7F
The beavertail can catch on the web between your thumb and forefinger. A small amount of wet sanding to slightly round the corners of the beavertail makes a huge improvement. I prefer the curved trigger and iron sights. You can install the MagGuts + 2 rd spring kit into the P365 12 rd mags to fit the P365X, for a total of 14 rounds in the mag. I highly recommend an extended magazine release button.
I converted and love it better than the regular P365 Don’t miss the optic cut Handles and shoots much better now in my large sized hands Still took my TLR7 Sub light as it’s the same rail system Still works in my Harry’s IWB Holster Did buy 3 of the larger magazines Conceal carry it everyday now vs my Glock 43x I did prior I’m happy Can’t go wrong with it Good review ✌️
The P365x is amazing. It's a perfect conceal carry + more handgun. The slightly longer grip and super clean sight set up is what mainly sets it apart from the regular P365 (which my girlfriend bought). Even so, I ordered two different mag extensions for the 12 round mags from tactical development. I have a feeling with the 1/2" extension and 1/4" extensions this will be hands down the best everyday pistol ever. I've found myself practice drawing with this thing constantly..while my fancy Smith & Wesson m2.0 Spec OR sits in it's case now :*(.
you should NOT buy a pistol like this with the intention of upgrading it into a larger everyday pistol. this pistol is designed for exceptional conceal carry not as a replacement for larger duty pistols with larger barrels
Thanks for the informative through review. I just bought one and plan on picking it up later today. One selling point for me is it fits P365 holsters. I’ll need to more mags but at least I don’t have the cost of new holsters. Love the optic cut & the flat trigger & 12 round capacity. Also has night sights right out of the box. Really nothing I need to change out. Thanks again
Great review, thanks. P365X with Romeo Zero, Magguts +2, Q-Series IWB minimalist holster. Compact, 14+1 capacity, incredibly accurate, reliable, and fits my hand perfectly. It was considerably more expensive than my other carry pistols (I have 3 S&W M&P’s in various configurations and calibers). I love my P365X and won’t carry anything else anymore. I was a little skeptical about dishing out the cash for this thing (I’m not rich) but I’m absolutely glad I did. I’d also heard mixed things about red dots but gave it a try. I love it! I’ve owned lots of pistols and I can easily say the P365X is my All Time Favorite.
Maybe it was $200 no tx no s/h. Still was a steal. Tell me one thing, have you had anything near a malfunction or abnormality since you swapped the magguts? I'm ready to order them just heard rumblings of them possibly causing issues.
@@777jaris $200 is a great price. I’ll look again, thanks. No issues with the Magguts. None. Two years and 1000’s of rounds later, I’m still a happy camper. I even ran some crazy rounds (Penetrators, I think?). Anyway, gun and mags did great. It was more about vetting the ammo for EDC but that’s the point. I forgot all about the Magguts. Hadn’t thought of that until you brought it up. So yes, I recommend it. Happy shooting, my friend.
First time I saw 365xl in person I thought it looked so much better without that long slide hanging over the frame. I had no clue they’d actually did it 😂. Great job sig.
I own both the p365 and the p365 XL and I prefer the curved trigger over the flat on the XL so I just swap the curved trigger lower over to whichever slide platform I want to carry. The flat trigger isn’t bad mind you but I just shoot each gun better with the curved trigger. I also use the bigger grip frame and have swapped over all my mags to 12 rounds
@@georgewollaeger9248 I will carry with a fanny pack that I designed with the pistol in a horizontal position. Both the X and XL versions will fit. Whether or not you can handle the extra 0.6" length of the XL depends upon your carry method. I've seen some people using a P365XL with the shorter P365 grip module. Then others seem to prefer the shorter P365 slide with the taller XL grip module. I'm planning to install the XL slide and barrel, but keep the curved trigger. YMMV. I recommend that you figure out your preferred carry method, bring your holster to the gun shop and see whether the X or XL works best for you.
@@georgewollaeger9248 yes I carry both pistols at one time or another in my rotation. Also carry the Ruger SP101 and the CZ P01 Omega in my rotations depends on what I’ll be doing and where I will be going.
Two options you overlooked: the Magguts +2 extender kit, which adds just 1/8" of length, but adds 2 more rounds (so you're 14+1--the highest for any micro 9 of similar size); and an extended mag release (I went with the Zev Z365), since the factory mag release is hard for me to easily and consistently effectuate. And here's another shooting tip that's make your P365X (or any short barrel micro 9) shoot better with less snappiness: use Underwood's 68 or 90 gr. +P Xtreme Defenders. As an added benefit, it'll do more tissue damage than the best JHPs (assuming that they fully expand, which is pretty iffy from a 3" barrel), and will penetrate deeper without over-penetrating than any JHP on the market shot through the P365X, including Gold Dots and HSTs.
I installed the XL grip module on my P365, the MagGuts +2 spring kits, and extended the mag release button. I did radius the front lip of the MagGuts floorplates. Now my P365X fits my hand like a glove. The curved P365 trigger allows more room for a gloved finger, which is important in Minnesota. For conceal carry I prefer iron sights anyway. Now I'm a happy camper.
You forget that sig offers a factory 15rd mag available for the 365. It does look slightly goofy but i carry mine as a backup and the shop i got mine from threw it in for free when i bought my 365X
@@smgs921 I bought two 15 round mags. But I soon realized that with the 15 rd mag installed it would not fit back into my holster, it felt terrible in my hand, & the mag protruding underneath my hand could hang up on something. I sold the 15 rd mags and bought a total of eight 12 rd mags. The MagGuts kits reduce the pressure and friction of the cartridges against the stripper rail of the slide when loaded to capacity, & the slide cycles more reliably, AND gives me 14 rds, AND fits my hand better than the 12 rd or 15 rd mags. The advantages of the extra round of the 15 rd mag does NOT outweigh it's disadvantages.
for the money, P365X is the best micro compact gun and it doesn't need upgrade. very accurate and manageable. much better than the hellcat junk i sold for half price just to get it out of my sight. if p365x had a lighter trigger, it would be amazing but none of the micro compacts have less than 4.5-5 pounds. and i don't know of any trigger upgrade that will reduce the weight to 3 pounds or less.
I have both the P365 & the 365XL. I find the trigger on the P365 to be buttery smooth, but no so for the P365XL. It has a slightly heavier trigger ( 4-1/2 to 5 lbl. vs the 365's trigger at 4 to 4-1/2 lbs.) Not only that but the trigger has a grittier pull even though I've dry fired it as well as polishing the striker and the sear. This made a tremendous difference on the feel & pull weight on the 365XL, but still does not come close to the P365's trigger, even though I've dried fire it for about 3 thousand times. Not to mention the straight trigger of the XL takes up additional space where it is harder to fit a gloved finger into the trigger guard. Maybe the P365's trigger is abnormally good while the 365XL's trigger is abnormally bad. Straight triggers are a fad and do everything that a curved trigger does, only worse.
I have the P 365X and I think it is great. Former Navy SEAL and author Jack Carr carries a P 365. Good enough for him, good enough for me. Agree on choosing one, go to a range that rents them and see if it is right for you.
I see no reason to swap to the X. I carry the regular 365 everyday and I absolutely love it. Its my first Sig and I was a Glock person for many years, but this is now my favorite sidearm.
The reason would be for the longer grip. If you got little hands and you don’t need the length, that’s great for you. But it’s a huge upgrade to get the longer grip for most people
That’s fair as well. Printing is def Better with the p365, but a lot of that can be solved with a good holster and choice of shirt. I tried both, and with the short grip i was less accurate
Tiger Tyrant except now there’s no point in having a magazine extension. Also it’s more comfortable reloading it if it’s flush, as well as the benefit of less wiggle/play. I’ve shot both ways, the flush fit is def superior. But to each his own
I like the original P365 because its small size make it so easy to conceal. I shoot it very well and I'm not interested at all in a larger 365X. I get 12+1 capacity without increasing the size of the original by replacing the original 10-round magazine internals with a Mag Guts magazine spring package. For those that like the larger frame size of the P365X, more power to you. But the 12+1 capacity reasoning is no longer an issue with the Mag Guts replacement magazine spring in the original small size.
@@Dave--gp1qx I believe that is correct. It's a great product. I've put several hundred rounds through mine with no malfunctions before I started carrying it.
I just recently traded in my Walther PPS for the 365X a few weeks ago. Its my first Sig, so I wasn’t sure what to think. So far so good, shot about 200 rds with no issues other than the slide not locking after the last round (probably the ammo). Thinking about adding the G43X or G48 to have in my carry cycle but straight out the box, the Sig cant be beat. Nothing to do or upgrade. I added a grip from handleit, which the texture was fine, just something I always do, and I will add a red dot…thats all.
@@DACKOutdoors I would consider adding a 43X, but then its like having two of the same imo. I typically enjoy compacts, so having just one micro compact gun is fine with me. My next carry gun may be the Sig P320 X compact. Now about the PPS, nothing bad to say at all. Excellent ergonomics, shoots like a bigger pistol, the PPS is highly slept on foreal imo. The only reason I traded it was the mag capacity. 6-8 rounds just wasn’t enough imo.
@@DACKOutdoors I also swithed from the PPS to the 365 XL it was a matter of round count and and the fact that I could not even find a mounting plate for an optic. other then that Walther are great reliable firearms. It was my EDC for 3 years.
So, I purchased the Sig 365 NRA version in early 2021 and used it as my EDC with a 12 round extended mag. The issue as minimal as it was is that there is a gap between the mag and the extension which moves ever so slightly when firing, no big deal until I shot the 365X. Not much of a difference on target for me but no annoying pinch from the extension either. So, I dropped the trigger group along with slide from the 365 onto a 365XL standard module assembly in - coyote brown (same as the NRA version) direct from Sig and so far, so good. The extended beaver tail also helps with recoil so, if you're considering, get the 365X, still very cancelable, my humble opinion.
I love this 365X, it’s an amazing carry firearm!! I got tired of carry the Glock 26 Gen 5. I even added a plus on base plates to all 3 mags. This gun feels natural. This will be spring and summer carry, plus optics ready. Also, if I have right fit clothing but winter time Glock 17 Gen 5 all day 😂!!
Have you added a Magguts +2 extender kit? It'll give you 14+1 capacity for just an additional 1/8" of length (which also gives a better flair at the bottom of the mag).
Basically, this is an XL frame on a 365 slide. It's funny, I did the exact opposite with my XL. The grip length is what makes a carry "print" and less concealable. I also like the extra site radius of the XL and the shorter more concealable standard 365 grip.
I just bought a P365X tonight. I held the normal P365 and even though I’m a small guy at 5’7”, the grip was so damn small that I couldn’t imagine using it. I really didn’t like that tiny grip, with two fingers on it, and didn’t feel like I could control it. The X having the longer grip and having the optics cut made me go with it. It’s a surprisingly small pistol, in person. I have small hands too. I don’t understand how big guys can even hold the P365 lol. I went there to buy a P365, but left buying the X (they actually had a 365 with the flat trigger there). Only thing that sucks is that in my state we can only have 10 rounds, so the gunsmith has to pin any P365X mags as they only come in 12 round minimum. So every time I want a new mag I need a gunsmith to pin it to 10 for me.
Off topic but I ordered a stock from you guys for a really good price, you said it would take a month to process and it did, will definitely order from you guys again 💯
I'm trying to decide between the p365 and the p365x. I like the flat trigger and bigger grip but at the same time I'm buying a 365 as a pocket gun for when I don't want to carry my g30. I think ill have to throw both in my pocket and see if there's much of a difference on how they feel and print.
I choose the p365, it’s so small it can fit in your pants pocket no problem, don’t get it twisted both pistols are small you could probably fit the x in there too but just more noticeable, the only thing is get use to the grip with the standard mag without the pinky extender if you want ultimate conceal ability , without the extra length it’s the best size ,so comfortable
@@poodie3887 I went with the normal 365. I got a coyote tac pac for 550 and when I compared it to the 365x I felt like they're the same with the 12 round mags. I dont plan on running an optic either so I didn't see a point of getting the x. I might buy the flat trigger tho
@@snoopywl8880 that was another reason I went With the 365, I don’t plan on using a optic on a pocket gun, I’ll save that for a compact, I’m thinking of getting a 320 x, I never used a Flat trigger but it does catch my eye to try out
Get the 365X and a regular 365 grip module and mag. That way you get all the benefits of the X with the smaller size of the original and you can swap them out when you want. Also better to do this way so you can carry with the 10rd mag in it but have 12rd back ups instead. Or you might find you like the way the X handles better
I think starting with the x is the best way to go but if you know you want an xl just go with that. I started with og 365 which eventually turned into an xl. I do really like the x with the small slide but the xl just makes everything better and I don’t notice a difference carrying. With the Romeo zero the xl is just as accurate as my p320 x five legion
So, basically it's the P365 upper and FCU in a P365XL frame. Since the P365 is modular there are a lot of RUclips videos on how to swap the frame of the standard P365 for the XL frame. The downside is that you can no longer use the 10 round mags if you wanted to. The X has a slide cut for an optic so that's a bonus.
Great video, DACK. You mentioned that a Micro Red Dot would enhance the concealed carry characteristics of the Sig 365 XL. Would you kindly let me know in what way?
Quick target acquisition. Not that the irons won't do that by themselves, but a micro red dot will certainly enhance it for most people. Prior to micro red dots, it was hard to conceal a pistol that had the bigger, bulkier red dots sticking way up off the slide. Another good option we're currently liking is the Springfield Hellcat with their Hex red dot - very slim and super-fast target acquisition.
I purchased the original and ended up spending all the money on grip, slide, optic, and new magazines. Don’t regret it; I change the pieces out depending on how I want to carry it that month. Just upgraded the grip to the Wilson Combat and love it. I’ve been running the WC grips on my. P320s for awhile now and really like the way they feel in my hand! Great video and stay safe out there! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Very excellent video, the thing that stood out to me,you did not disparage (talk bad about other brands) you gave your thoughts about the product you where showing, and the other thing it has to me comfortably to carry,it took about 3 to 4 years to find the comfort level.Thanks.
Additional 12 round mags come with base plates for both P365 frames. I bought the x grip swapped mag base plates of my 12 round mags and was ready to shoot. Good information. You answered all the questions.
I got the p365 romeo package, and love it.. The grip is a bit rough on the belly, but myself, or my small hand wife, can handle this weapon with ease. This thing makes my previous XD sub compact feel like a brick by comparison If I could go back I might get it without the optic though. My astigmatism is making the reticle just too blurry for me to use.
The P365 X with a Wilson Combat grip module & Magguts conversions for 14+1 is my favorite micro EDC. I've tried & sold several micros I didn't like because they didn't fit my hand to my liking, bad triggers, unreliable or just uncomfortable to shoot. One was a Hellcat. An XDS must have screwed a Glock, creating an unlovable mutant child.
Best advice you can give anyone buy a quality gun to start with Sigs are good as well as Glock S&W the world is wide open in the compact carry I’ve personally got a 365X and a Glock 43 I really like both depending on how or what I’m going to be doing that day

I pocket carry with a Desantis holster I don't have to pull my shirt up that takes time most in self-defense situations second's matter my gun is my right upper pocket and very easy to draw.
Great review, thanks for your opinion. I have the p226 and freaking love love it. When it comes to carry I purchased the M&P 2.0 shield which has been awesome and works flawlessly. That will be my wife’s carry now cause I just purchased the p365x and to me it feels better in my hand. I absolutely love this gun and all the features that comes with it.
The sig Sauer p365x with Romeo zero rds that I got came with 2 flush magazines with no pinking extension and still fit 12 rounds. I thought it was suppose to be 10 lol
@ worked out perfect. The xl slide is longer than the dust cover of the module. With the xl module and the stock p365 slide is equal in length. Thus the p365 x was born. That is why I did what I did. Already owning a p365 and wanting to try the 6 moa red dot. When sig offered a combo deal on the website for 99.00 for the od green xl module and matching Romeo zero I jumped on it. While I do not advocate for the plastic red dot. I’m more of a holosun fan. I didn’t want to spend big money on a try and hope I like it situation. Size of course. So far I’m liking both enough that I may buy a Romeo x compact. But as far as grip length. Awesome. I tried loading a photo but wasn’t successful in doing so. With adding the hogue grip. Makes for a much more shootable range time.
Nice thing with Sig is, if you have a P365, you can just buy the P365X grip module, and swap out your FCU. You are now the proud owner of a P365X, for about $40.
It really seams Luke they gave the buyer a million options wich I love because with that interchangeable unit you can make your sig exactly what you want !
I went to my local shop for a Glock 43x or the P365. They were out of the P365 but had the 365x which I wasn’t aware of until that moment.. I love glocks but that 43x didn’t feel anywhere as good as the 365x.. I can’t speak for the Glock but shooting wise but its got its work cut out competing with the Sig.
Great review. Thanks. Just got that exact gun, p365x..can you recommend a good IWB hybrid holster? Want mostly leather, maybe some kydex, but not much.
The standard 365 with a spare 12 round extended mag is a much better option. Install the 12 rd extended mag and you essentially have a 365X. Pop out the 12 rd mag and use the 10 round mag and you now have a more compact pocket pistol.
The thing is you can put a 12 round clip in the OG p365 & a 15 rounder obviously BUTTTT unlike the X you have the option to go smaller if you want to go to 10 to be more concealed it tighter clothing ETC. And the P365X grip feels the same as the regular P365 with the 12 round clip so yea I don’t see an advantage in it that’s just me tho.
I absolutely love mine. I got it when they first came out only about a week or two. I hadnt even heard of it but was going to buy a standard P365 and the shop just happened to have this. I got mine for $600 while the standard P365 was $500 but the trigger and extended grip just felt much better and the big kicker was my shop threw in a free 15rd mag with it as well which is about a $55 magazine it was a no brainer and i’m glad i got it. Shoots like a much bigger gun and if i could only have one out of my several handguns it would be hard not to choose this since it is so capable all around
Good video. I sold my 365 because it was difficult to shoot at speed. I have an XL that I like a lot. The 365X might be a good fit for me I think. One question though. Does the 365X firing pin drag on the primer like the 365 does? My XL doesn't and I like that.
I was worried about the firing pin drag.after I purchased my X. Of all my guns, the X is the only one without primer drag at all. Perfect center primer circle. They really fixed the problem, or I got lucky with mine.

Have both, definitely like the 43x a little more plus the flush fit 15 round Shield mags are awesome. Both are great.
Have P365X. Prefer to Shield Plus and 43X.
I just traded my 43x for the 365x and it’s way better.
Bought the P365x and installed magguts mag plates and spring and now it holds 14+1 and those mag plates add to grip perfectly.
Wut exactly sold u on it?
@@Spocklee The fantastic grip, the optics cut slide, the great flat faced trigger, the Sig night sights are great for me, it's got the 12rd flush fit magazine capacity, plus the magwell has a nice little flair and the extended beavertail all these things just knocked it out of the park for me.
Sig 365
Original 365 carries 12 also???
I bought the TAC PAC (P365-Holster--3-12 round mags--Holster). The first thing I did was take the short grip off and installed a XL grip module....Perfect carry set up!!!
Yeah it's comfortable grip, but I could use one more Pinkie length myself as well.
Great review, I narrowed my ccw to the p365x vs the Glock 48. I am purchasing the p365x tomorrow. Thank you again.
I carry the 365x daily and LOVE it!
Thanks for the video. I went with the 365xl and in all honesty I couldn’t be happier, my back up is a Ruger LCP Max.
Costed? Is that a word? 😉
@@jakedior9419 yes..its a word..look it up.....who gives a phuck....go with the flow...lol
@@cnczamora11
You're right. I should have goed with the flow. 😁
Lets see a pic, I’m upgrading my 365 soon with the XL tan grip as well, also might upgrade the trigger
You have to cut the XL down to 3.1…smh
@ the frame? If you take a 365XL frame and the normal 365 slide, it should line up perfectly and go on with zero issues whatsoever.
@@ryanells4331 if the XL frame is made 3.7 inch barrel. The X is for a 3.1 in barrel. Cmon man
x=extra bullet capacity
L=longer barrel
@ the frames are the same length, so the slide swaps without issue. The extra length on the XL comes entirely from the slide and barrel, not the frame.

Just bought mine today!! Can’t wait to get it to range!!
The X is the perfect size for my hands where the regular 365 is just a bit too small.
I converted and love it better than the regular P365
Don’t miss the optic cut
Handles and shoots much better now in my large sized hands
Still took my TLR7 Sub light as it’s the same rail system
Still works in my Harry’s IWB Holster
Did buy 3 of the larger magazines
Conceal carry it everyday now vs my Glock 43x I did prior
I’m happy
Can’t go wrong with it
Good review ✌️
Where did you get the larger mags for the 365x??
Just turn that ZERO into a HOLO if you haven’t already!
@@777jaris I’d love to. Getting the cash for it is the problem. My old lady would kill me.
@@Noahs_Crazy_Kid $190 to taxes or shipping for the 407x
The curved trigger allow provides more room for a gloved finger, which can be important here in Minnesnowta.
Do you carry? I’m trying to decide if I’d rather have the X length barrel or the XL barrel, or if it’s even noticeable.
Thanks for the tip on the Maggut.
Yes I love & use Underwood Xtreme defenders 😁
I got one yesterday!!! Great video!
But it’s a huge upgrade to get the longer grip for most people
@@notorioustbg I could see that point no problem. I have mine to conceal daily, so the smaller overall the better for my application.
That’s fair as well. Printing is def Better with the p365, but a lot of that can be solved with a good holster and choice of shirt. I tried both, and with the short grip i was less accurate
@@notorioustbg you just get 12+ round magazines on the p365.... grip problem solved.... as simple as that....
Tiger Tyrant except now there’s no point in having a magazine extension. Also it’s more comfortable reloading it if it’s flush, as well as the benefit of less wiggle/play. I’ve shot both ways, the flush fit is def superior. But to each his own
Just watched your vid, then ordered one from your site. Happy to support family run businesses.
I think Mag Guts could also make the X’s 12 +1, into 14 +1.
@@Dave--gp1qx I believe that is correct. It's a great product. I've put several hundred rounds through mine with no malfunctions before I started carrying it.
Agreed, it’s meant to conceal carry.
Certainly nothing wrong with adding a G43X or 48 to the lineup! Did you like your PPS?
Could be that you were tripping the slide release with a tight grip. Common mistake that leads to slide not locking back.
I’m under the same boat right now my current ccw is a Glock 26 gen 5
Basically, this is an XL frame on a 365 slide. It's funny, I did the exact opposite with my XL. The grip length is what makes a carry "print" and less concealable. I also like the extra site radius of the XL and the shorter more concealable standard 365 grip.
Great minds think alike
Lol that'll be sig's new P365L version
Sorry you live in a communist state.
Off topic but I ordered a stock from you guys for a really good price, you said it would take a month to process and it did, will definitely order from you guys again 💯
If you start with the p365 you have to change the trigger which is hard. Changing grips and slide is easy.
I'm trying to decide between the p365 and the p365x. I like the flat trigger and bigger grip but at the same time I'm buying a 365 as a pocket gun for when I don't want to carry my g30. I think ill have to throw both in my pocket and see if there's much of a difference on how they feel and print.
Absolutely worth handling both first and also seeing how they pocket/holster.
@@snoopywl8880 that was another reason I went With the 365, I don’t plan on using a optic on a pocket gun, I’ll save that for a compact, I’m thinking of getting a 320 x, I never used a
Flat trigger but it does catch my eye to try out
Get the 365X and a regular 365 grip module and mag. That way you get all the benefits of the X with the smaller size of the original and you can swap them out when you want. Also better to do this way so you can carry with the 10rd mag in it but have 12rd back ups instead. Or you might find you like the way the X handles better
Nice. My 365X came with the 3.7inch slide and barrel and night sights 549** Perfect for me
I think starting with the x is the best way to go but if you know you want an xl just go with that. I started with og 365 which eventually turned into an xl. I do really like the x with the small slide but the xl just makes everything better and I don’t notice a difference carrying. With the Romeo zero the xl is just as accurate as my p320 x five legion
Definitely one of the best parts about Sig's modular system is being able to easily make the pistol your own.
i have the same but i replaced the mag release with an Armory Craft mag release, much better
Will have to check one out!
I have 2 regular P365's, but recently I bought a XL frame for one of them. I definitely see the advantages of each.
I was trying to figure out if the frame was different from the p365 to the p365x; this video answered my question. Greatly detailed video. 👍🏽
Well I have a P365 and a P365 xl so I guess I can make my own P365 x right?
Very excellent video, the thing that stood out to me,you did not disparage (talk bad about other brands) you gave your
thoughts about the product you where showing, and the other thing it has to me comfortably to carry,it took about 3 to 4
years to find the comfort level.Thanks.
Additional 12 round mags come with base plates for both P365 frames. I bought the x grip swapped mag base plates of my 12 round mags and was ready to shoot. Good information. You answered all the questions.
I'm loving my X . Shot groupings are getting tighter every range visit. "At the end of the day" ...
I did the opposite. I took the 365x slide assembly with the Romeo zero optic and put it on my standard p365.
It's a whole lot easier to increase the grip length of a 365 with a 12 Rd Mag, than it is to shorten the grip length of the 365X...
Great video man 👍🏻
Great review and comparison. Very good advice.
Extremely well-done video. I am looking for my first EDC and was curious between original and X. A++
I got the p365 romeo package, and love it.. The grip is a bit rough on the belly, but myself, or my small hand wife, can handle this weapon with ease. This thing makes my previous XD sub compact feel like a brick by comparison
If I could go back I might get it without the optic though.

I have a p365x and my next will be Glock 43x.
Nice presentation- well spoken!! Any malfunctions? The XL is out but I'm leaning for the 3.1 X
Great video. I added a flat Trigger to my P365 and love it🔥
That added beaver tail is the reason I dont like the x
I pocket carry with a Desantis holster I don't have to pull my shirt up that takes time most in self-defense situations second's matter my gun is my right upper pocket and very easy to draw.
Can you swap out the all the "X" parts into the standard 365?
Great review, thanks for your opinion. I have the p226 and freaking love love it. When it comes to carry I purchased the M&P 2.0 shield which has been awesome and works flawlessly. That will be my wife’s carry now cause I just purchased the p365x and to me it feels better in my hand. I absolutely love this gun and all the features that comes with it.
great no bs review. Thanks. The website was not very responsive but I will try back another time.🙂
The sig Sauer p365x with Romeo zero rds that I got came with 2 flush magazines with no pinking extension and still fit 12 rounds. I thought it was suppose to be 10 lol
I want this one with a 10 round magazine.
I put the xl on my 365 instead of buying a new gun. My 365 was already optic cut and I put the sig flat trigger in it.
How’d that extra length work out for ya, considering you need an xl slide ?
Great review Thanks so much and God Bless you as well. Jim
Nice thing with Sig is, if you have a P365, you can just buy the P365X grip module, and swap out your FCU. You are now the proud owner of a P365X, for about $40.
Still missing some important features
It really seams Luke they gave the buyer a million options wich I love because with that interchangeable unit you can make your sig exactly what you want !

Glad you enjoyed it; thanks for watching!
@@DACKOutdoors actually picked it up two days ago lol.
Great Video, very informative and much appreciated!!!!
Great explanation, I really appreciate it!
I actually prefer the feel of the 43x, but each person is different
They have 12 rd mags for the standard. Basically all I use
Great analysis thanks!
Great review. Thanks. Just got that exact gun, p365x..can you recommend a good IWB hybrid holster? Want mostly leather, maybe some kydex, but not much.
Excellent review!
As a new varient, is it more likely that the P365X has a good striker/firing pin?
@Orpheus Well that sucks then.
Wouldn't be just the same as the regular 365 with the 12 rd mag in it?
The standard 365 with a spare 12 round extended mag is a much better option. Install the 12 rd extended mag and you essentially have a 365X. Pop out the 12 rd mag and use the 10 round mag and you now have a more compact pocket pistol.
Great review!
Should I get one with safety or without?
Does Sig make backstraps like Glock for their frames? I held a regular p365 and my hand was way too big for the grip
I like the P365 better.
Would’ve been nice if original 365 would’ve came with flat trigger and slide cut..
What holster did you find worked best for you?

I absolutely love mine. I got it when they first came out only about a week or two. I hadnt even heard of it but was going to buy a standard P365 and the shop just happened to have this. I got mine for $600 while the standard P365 was $500 but the trigger and extended grip just felt much better and the big kicker was my shop threw in a free 15rd mag with it as well which is about a $55 magazine it was a no brainer and i’m glad i got it. Shoots like a much bigger gun and if i could only have one out of my several handguns it would be hard not to choose this since it is so capable all around
Love this gun it’s perfect great video thank you keep up the great work
Good video. I sold my 365 because it was difficult to shoot at speed. I have an XL that I like a lot. The 365X might be a good fit for me I think. One question though. Does the 365X firing pin drag on the primer like the 365 does? My XL doesn't and I like that.
Put the new p365 firing in and it won't drag
I was worried about the firing pin drag.after I purchased my X. Of all my guns, the X is the only one without primer drag at all. Perfect center primer circle. They really fixed the problem, or I got lucky with mine.
Can you pocket carry with the P365X
What micro red dot optic do you recommend for the P365 X?
Will the 365x slide work on a standard 365 frame?
Does it accept the old 365 mags? If u wanted to swap the modules?
Are you running a alien gear holster in this video when you talk about carrying at the 5 position?
Hi Carlos, that is correct! You can find it on our site here: dackoutdoors.com/product/alie...
