    I guess some people think that WD40 is the solution to everything. Whatever oil that was, it seems to have affected the plating, too bad.
    Glad you brought it back to life. 👍

      wd40 or the cheapest Chinese oils in gigantic quantities, usually not where needed

    I have to say I enjoy your channel, always a treat to the eye when you have a cool watch to open up. I keep coming back from time to time to see whether you have some new uploads to watch. Keep up the good work and stay safe in these troubled times.

    Good job, I came across the same problem with a watch I bought recently, covered in oil and a strong smell! 🙄. Thanks. Adrian

    Hello Karoll. I have visited your channel via Ebay. I have a 2001 Seamaster Quartz 2541.80.00.
    I have had 2 batteries replaced by an AD. Both have run down within days. I have been told it will need a full service, which will include a new movement if necessary and Omega charge £380.00 including a new movement if required.
    I would like to ask your opinion and whether you have experience of the original "Bond" Omega ?

      @Karol235  2 года назад

      hello, it's hard for me to say anything, i don't work with quartz watches. specializes in mechanical. possible coil is broken, most of quartz is a one-time use (in my opinion). £ 380 is a lot what caliber is there?

    Really great work and attention to detail. May I ask which size & make those tweezers that have the 45 degree bend in are? I notice you use them for a lot of the disassembly process.

    • @Karol235
      @Karol235  2 года назад +2

      hello, thank you very much for the kind word. I always try to work the best I can. tweezers are nothing special. I do not buy branded "bergeon, horotec etc" tweezers because they are very expensive and they wear the same as the cheaper ones, I cannot sharpen them so that they are factory-made. I buy VETUS and similar in the warehouse it costs ~ £ 6, this bends 45 degrees is ST-15

      @@Karol235 Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your insight on this, as there’s so much choice when it comes to watchmaking tools.

    Is there a big difference in movement quality between the Seamaster and a Constellation (of same era)?

    • @Karol235
      @Karol235  2 года назад +1

      hello, the constellations have always been chronometers. in those years there were two calibers 561 and 564 (the same only with a quick change of dates) in the seamasters there was also a family of 55x / 56x mechanisms (565 also had a quick change of dates) 562 with virtually no difference to 561 cosmetic.
      There were also seamaster chronometers then they had the same caliber as the constellations
      this caliber is rare and I would compare it to the earlier generation, the whole family of 500 and 505 etc closer to the design.

      hello, nothing special. I record everything with the poco x3 phone and for the recordings I borrow from my wife a make-up lamp (stand, 50cm diameter circle, leds) I do not know the technical details
