China is the second largest manufacturer of cars behind Japan, then korea and Thailand! So what do aussies made besides ugg or Tim tam? It a family suv and as long as its safety five stars, then what’s wrong? China made better products compared to Australia mate.

@@flyingbears5635 We made good products once. But everyone wanted to be millionaire business owners, so they shifted production to China and sold out Aussies. Chinese products are pretty good, but let's not kid ourselves, they reverse engineer and steal copyrighted designs on nearly everything. Now the same Chinese are buying properties in Sydney and Melbourne. Are you going to care about dirty CCP money, if it makes you an instant millionaire?

@@Vetall1176 they should reprogram the unit that controls the assistance systems. I don't have further details about it, since I just took it to the dealer, and they did the reprogramming while I went to a shopping mall nearby to have a coffee. It took about 45 minutes, but it was because they were using the programming machine with another procedure in another car, then mine had to wait. They actual procedure takes around 15 to 20 minutes. Anyway, since it is an optional procedure and not an official recall from the OEM, every dealer in every country is free to do it or not for their customers. The DSG gearbox in the Polo and other VW cars is one of the most unreliable gearboxes. They're almost guaranteed to develop a mechatronic failure which is costly to repair.
Although the Haval Jolion is obviously not perfect, it's been more than 3 years since they came to market and some of them have surpassed 150 000km without reported common DCT failures.

Thanks for the review. Very cheesy humour.... but with an underlying rigour. Well done. My major concern would be the longevity of the 1.5 litre turbo motor. It's easy enough to make them feel nice when new, but will it last 250,000km? The track record of other marques with similar engines is not great. The fact that the fuel consumption was not much better than a V6 Kluger is another negative...

Why should people hate you for it? Why can't you believe you are saying this? Reviews are meant to be dispassionate and objective without any colouration. The truth is a lot of reviews from people in the West (Yes, Australia counts as part of the West), test and review cars based on heavily prejudiced notions. And even when such prejudice is totally found unwarranted, they tend to have difficulty accepting this reality. What we see and hear in this review is a prime example of that situation.

I always find it weird when they test drive these cars and mention how poor the fuel consumption is and how they struggle with parts, but i've had bmw 316i which is a 1.6 and fuel was horrible parts are stupid expense, had a audi A3 1.8t fuel was horrible and parts is expensive, had a Mercedes c180 kompressor same situation horrible fuel expensive parts...then i had a nissan tida nice drive light on fuel but just a simple box car with a renualt engine, had a polo nice car light on fuel, semi lux with expensive parts especially cv's, had a corolla 1.6 nice car light on fuel when driving carefully, semi lux and again parts are expensive... all cars have their quirks but the Chinese car get dragged through the mud... people should start realizing what they where is made in china, their phones are made in china, wifi made in china, technology made in china... and thats just a few things... for a bmw,Mercedes, audi, with similar tech and spec you pay over a mill in SA, so i'm just saying

It's great for 25k.. there is no point for anyone to review the premium model...haha! It's the base base! Almost everyone is getting their cars on finance crédit.. so everyone just simply and quickly upgrades to Lux or H! 28k to 33k ish! Yehhhh
I paid cash so I needed to stay within the 25k price marl! Hardly anyone pays cash so the dealerships just order Lux and above! But the dealership I went through had 2..premiums arriving in May!

In South Africa they are ferly common but I heard a lot of people complain about the running cost as well as customer support. They also mentioned a long waiting period for parts. The resale value is also next to nothing. The worst is the fuel consumption. I drive a 2.2 diesel that is also a SUV and has AWD as well and if I drive conservative I can get up to 8.5 in town and on the open road I go down to around 7 liters per 100 km. Parts for the brand I drive is most cases of the time is always available. I understand the same with P series pick ups they sell here the service is nearly twice of a Hilux and I heard they already have some problem the dealer cant seem to resolve. I don`t think it`s a good idea to buy a new brand with nearly no support. Rather first do your homework before buying into a brand you are familiar with.

we just brought a 2023 BMW X3 30i and it was 100k negotiated. this Haval isn't as good as the X3 but its 3 times cheaper and is the BMW 3 times better??
that's questionable because the 30i is a B48 and these engines have made 550whp in USA with a stock block, so stock its going to last.
The Haval hasn't been tested through time and development and although it has a 7 year warranty, who's to say Haval will be around for 7 year?
However I can very impressed. id purely buy the AWD version and use this for recreational activities, or buy a used one as new car manufacturer used cars do depreciate the most, just look at 10 year old KIAs
But yes 37k for a brand new SUV is pretty insane value in this overinflated market,
We have a 2020 X3 M40i and we are keeping it because at the time of purchase I got it for 93500 before covid and for a 2023 model its now 130k so we aren't keen to pay a 60k premium to get the slightly refreshed model.
this said this has to be one of the best values you can get from a New Car stand point.
I want one so I can go fishing in it cause the wife won't let me use the BMW XD obviously BUY ONE, do you have a discount code from Haval, they should sponsor you bro
