lol.. have to ask my financial advisor first
"Hey how many rc boats to pull an RC SAYLOR on a floaty?
For differential thrust you would need two independent motors. I would call that Vectored Thrust, where you point the motor. :)
Yes thrust vectoring just like a raptor fighter jet
I feel so bad for Abby constantly being critiqued on every single video that she drives/flys something, the dynamic of a couple doing the RC reviews together is awesome but the fact that he can’t just let her drive without telling her how to do it is so irritating
It is a bit cringey. Seems like that Christian 'the man has to be in charge' kind of dynamic. I'm no fan of religion.
@@JustInvertedFpv wow that is a massive jump to conclusions + unrelated topic.
we're driving toy boats here, not discussing politics
They are both morons i think can't stand em
the prop and rudder being together is the reason why it wobbles so much at high speed.
"Most fun I've ever had in tight spaces." . . . Yeaaaa idk man. . Haha.
😂😂😂
Yep! I am a few days late but as soon as I heard him say that, my 51 year old mind was 16 again! 😁
I grabbed a pair of these for my kiddos and didn't anticipate their speed! A couple notes: I attempted to slow it down a bit and run a 2s battery. It will not generate enough motor speed to"autoright" the boat with just a 2s but it is MUCH more controllable... so make sure you can recover it or maybe add a bit more counterweight in the rear (haven't tried that yet)... On 3s, I snapped the prop coupling just doing "stunts" with the kiddo in open water... get a couple spares (prb0313, mg17 or im17)... once again have a recovery unit ready. 3s is crazy fast and the boat dolphins a bunch, but easing in to it you can definitely get it to move quickly in a straight line. A lot of fun, but definitely a different experience! ... One more thing... the "powerhead" on one of my boats flew off the back of the boat... there are two screws that hold it on to the rudder, pop the top off and make sure they're there... one of mine didn't have any screws at all holding it on (thankfully it floats!!)
Vectored Thrust.
Yes Nat we get it the prop turns there for directing the trust in quick movements thats why it turns so quick the trust isnt directed it moves around
I bought this boat last year , for my daughter to use while I run my 30” aquacraft . I actually drove the little proboat more last year. It’s a lot of fun and very versatile. We drove on a little creek by our house and took it out to different lakes. It draws a lot of attention!!
That little guy is Unstoppable
Wow that thing turns on a dime *AND* leaves change!!! 😲😁🤗😁😲
You guy's are the cutest couple on RUclips! I'm also incredibly appreciative of the info your videos give us. I've purchased more than 2 hands worth of vehicles based upon your videos... never regretted a single purchase. Thank you for what you do! It really does have a positive impact on us!
Maybe a little weight in the bow
I am loving boat week
Everytime she was driving and you said "WOW" I could tell you wanted to be like "Chill the fuck out and go easy in the throttle and turns!!!" ☠️☠️🤣🤣
Think I'd call it directionally thrust. Glad to see y'all having so much fun
I forgot that abby can do baton twirling 🔥🔥🌀👍🏾
Me too!!! 😲
ABBY didn't expect to see you with the fire... Looked cool... The boat it cool to..
Fast!
SUPER FUN boat!! Thanks Saylors for entertaining me with another AWESOME review!! 💟👍😘
Hey, thanks for the video! I like this series so far, one week dedicated to find the best RC boat on the budget.
But: can i suggest that you include the "unboxing"? At these times it is quite important for me to see how it is delivered, how many batteries, is the remote included, does the packaging look nice or cheap? I just wish you could include this in your videos on some products
anyways, happy easter guys
You guys! You have no idea what a blessing you are! My husband and I love your vids. We are avid (indoor) drone pilots and became interested because of you. The RC boats look so much fun but I’m elderly and a shut in. So I’ll just stay tuned to your RUclips channel.
I got it Abby, maybe draw him a picture? I don't own a RC boat, but this looks fun!
Yeah I was picking up what Abby was putting down too! Lol
Abby was competing with Brian Phillips and Camera Crew there... 😁
wow this thing is INSAINE
Wow this video is on fire (awesome). 👍👏👏😊
I want this boat so bad!!
It could do with a bit of weight in the front to trim it out for full speed runs.
I know you don't (and can't) keep everything, but if you are planning on multiple boat weeks this year, why not hold on to the one that comes out on top for each week then afterwards do best of the best competition.
Evening guys 😀 . That's the typical characteristics of steerable outdrive/outboard Motors on boats. The twin steerable outdrives on the back of the Vintage Traxxas villain IV chapparel boats is what got me addicted to RC boats all those years ago. now a lot of guys in the RC boat circles call me that go to Traxxas villain boat guy 😁
Awesome boat outboard motor setup brushless.self righting works good. Break neck speed. Awesome channel guys.🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤
That was some awesome fire twirling Abby! Great boat too.
The weight in the hull is probably to counter torque roll, and the lack of rooster tail is because it's an under water prop, not a surface cutter where half the prop is above the surface kicking up the rooster tail. And differential thrust si when you have two, or more, motors and the inner one in a turn slows down. Like your first boat of the week. This is a Z drive.
Fire Lady... :)
Bonuts all day long well done nate
Late squad tonight happy Easter all 😎😎😎⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Great video Saylors! Nice job Abby with the fire! I'm here for the algorithm!
Nice pocket rocket for the water. You need a bigger boat for that wonderful lake, great backdrop. 👍🏻
Great boat. Looked like lots of fun. a little pricey for the size. I freaked out when I saw Abby twirling the fire batons! Maybe you should have a ring of fire on the water and have the boats go thru it LOL
Thats quite fun!
ok so I ran the boat today for the first time....run time between 25 and 30 min!! But the servo did glitch and I wasn't able to self right the boat either thanks to a canoe on the lake they helped me!! The servo went hard right then hard left....ill probly replace the stock servo......very fun boat and worth the money.
Was it the servo I’m having the same problem. Thanks
Nice! You're happy with the boat? I am thinking to get this one or perhaps a blackjack 24". I am very hesitant
@@ryanbender5608 nice. You're happy with this boat?
That is sweet thrust vectoring !
God bless take care stay safe
I bought my first RC boat last year based on an RC Saylor recommendation. Took it to the only local lake near me. The lake was full of weed floating near the surface. Boat got hung up on weed within 20 seconds and took another 30 minutes to retrieve. Game over.
Incredible!! I want it!
Yes
That would look great sitting beside my Proboat Miss Geico 113 but DEFINITELY put it to shame !!! Great boat and video 👍👍 Have a Happy Easter !!!
Interesting boat and nice job on the video. Awesome fire baton twirling Abby, I wish I could give the video more than one like!! :D
I have one and what I did was put some of the smaller weights in the nose so it doesn't jump out of the water
Just looks uncontrolable
Looks like it could use some weight up front.
It's like a stunt plane!
Put some line and a lure on it and use it for fishing competitions. It might land a Bluegill.
cool rc boat, that one looks like a ton of fun
I'm going to get one, put some fishing line and a lure on it and see if I can catch a Trout. I wonder which one would win?
Awesome looking great boat and like the color too AWESOME Nate and Abby I love it and great job Nate and Abby 👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎❤️ video
Its 67° in Kansas City at 8:55pm morel mushrooms are going to be popping
Yes Man! In NorCal they grow in the forest where there was a burn scare the year Prior.
We just found a nice bag full of them in East Tennessee.
@@nicholasharshbarger4454 just picked a bunch of Stinging Nettles to air dry for tea and some CLEAVERS for their high Silica that kills viruses. Those sticky weeds with the little balls.
Great boat speed run on a smooth day be super interesting to clock speed. Fun video guys !
Thrust vector-based?
A horizontal fin on the outboard at prop level would help at speed I think.
Or trim tabs
YAY boats!!! Soon be the weather heare to maiden mine!
This one really looks so cool and fun!
Oh ya baby boat season is among us now I gotta get my Cajun commander up and running so I can play too. great job on the video a little lead weight in the front might keep it down a little better to handle and stay up right 😂 when at higher speed. IMO but this little boat looks 😎
Thanks for another great video, and review. This is a boat for calmer waters, that thing looked totally uncontrollable, now put that power in a boat that is probably 30% bigger maybe even 50%, and you might have a choppy water boat that would be a blast. For me personally it would be frustrating to not be able to go full throttle without it flipping over every 2 seconds, sure if you slow down it can be driven, but then your spending 4 times the price of the other boats, like that black and red one, the waters looked the same between the vids, but other than this one being able to turn far quicker and with a tighter radius, it feels like speed wise, keeping it controlled, they were about the same, this one clearly has more power to spare, but that also means your flipping over every 2 seconds vs having a nice time driving it. Am i alone if feeling this should have been a bigger boat . Keep this one in the car, and when you find water that is smooth as glass, do a follow up please, i really want to see what it can do when it is usable, it looks like it should be capable of so much more.
Looks like it's meant to look like an outboard motor (but really more like a stern drive) with the steerable propeller.
Love your all's enthusiasm, and Abbey's twirling is spectacular! Thank you all very much! I have to get one of those!!
I really like that boat
This boat seems like it fails pretty badly at doing what a boat is supposed to do. Constantly flipping and not able to just go straight just seems like it would be super frustrating. But you guys loved it lol.
I agree! Based on my experience with the Atomik Barbwire 2, I don't care for boats that spend a lot of time upside down or under water.
That thing is wild!
It was so much fun to drive!
Cool from Hawaii!!
The larger battery (2200 I think) helps with better weight and longer run time :)
Super fun video guy's I'll probably get the Lucas Oil livery, cool flame twirling Abby God bless 😉👍🚤
That's the beauty of an outboard motor set up. And yes, that's way too much power for that small hull, but, with discipline, it can be harnessed.
Add a couple of ounces of stick on weights in the back and the front and it will perform 100% better.
Could you tell me where do you add that extra weight? Is impossible to run fast without go into water and roll and eventually water goes in.
@@ivanmanzur1197 on the very bottom of the hull, just 1 in the middle to make it a little bottom heavy. Start out with a couple quarters or nickels and go up from there one at a time until you find the sweet spot that you like. Good luck.
Sweet
The problem with many RC boats in this size start to skip and dive instead of cutting through the water in a good way and this is the case with this one. The one that runs very good is the Volantex SR48 brushless which is very well balanced in speed and handling.
Go Herd! Love seeing the Marshall apparel. Former band geek too, I marched for the Pride in Morgantown.
Differential thrust would be varying rpm on dual or more motors. That boat would be more thrust vectoring. And one of the first fixes for the ProBoat Blackjack from say 2008? Eliminate the stock stearable prop out drive and go fixed prop, rudder only. Or roll over and go swim allot.
Get it!🚤
Cool boat 👍😍👍 ~~~!!!!!!
neat; a boat with 'thrust vectoring' :-) ...
what a fun boat! Nate its called thrust vectoring. keep up the fun content
That's pretty neat how the 'motor' turns too. I was just looking back at y'alls best boats from 3 months ago looking at the UDI one, scrolled through and saw this one. I'm sure on a calm day that this will be even more awesome!, won't have all the waves to contend with.
It looks like a caught bass, reeling it in.
Thrust vectoring, would be my guess, sounds good too.
How awesome! This is one of the boats I wanted to ask you about. I'll be buying it now. Thanks!
God bless
That thing is crazy
Great video!😊 That drive system has been around for a long long time in the form of the Graupner Hydradrive just to name one. Used to run them with brushed setups in the 90s.. If that universal joint running in water can take brushless power without disintegrating after 3 runs I'm in😊 Otherwise I'd stick to jet boats..
Thrust vectoring is what you meant. Lol. Cool boat!
Wow that's impressive. It actually goes on the plain. It's so realistic
Have a great Easter! Hide some eggs for Popeye too! That boat is basically laughable , but In a good way!
That’s a animal 🦔 ;)
30th comment and a little off topic a while ago you liked my comment about getting the rc Bigfoot and i finally madiened it and it flies amazing even in 12mph winds with eas
Crazy boat, but guess it'll be much better during a calm day, so absolutely do a follow up!
BTW: not sure what you used to film this episode, but there's is a big, unsharp 'blob' center-right, so something (lens? sensor?) needs to be cleaned ;-)
Love the way it would porpoise and fly out of the water. Couldn’t see if driver and passenger had face shields or not, if face shields you could paint them black to give the tinted realistic look. Definitely worthy of a Power Patch.
Like to see it on flat water. I reckon it needs more weight up front.
Need to Give Him chill pill..
I would want a real boat too if I had to retrieve it from far out on the lake. I like how it steers like a real outboard motor
.I enjoy your videos so much. I don't know how to spell the noises that Nate makes... Happy Easter
call it directional thrust
Love my lucas oil boat
hi guys, wicked video wow, that boat is a lot of fun. o yes, may go on to the to purchase list lol. Oh man my list is getting pretty long, and that's down to you guys. I already have I think 1o models that you guys have videoed. well very well done.
O by the way did you see my message on video before this one about trying a paracopter????. cos me think it be a challenge for Nat and his flight experience. sure it be fun and entertaining.
I saw that tgis video was 20 minutes long, and I was like "wow, this is going to be kind of a long video, probably just watch the first bit"... 20 minutes later, and I was like "oh wow, that went by quick" hahahaha
18:09 god do I miss that music oh and great twirling is this old or new video
GYOM: HIT THE FLOOR
Nice 😎👌
Methinks it is thrust vectoring rather than differential thrust which needs two motors.
