This is a fantastic performance by Russell Crowe. He is one of my favorites too.
What I love about this film is that it's such an intricate detailing of men, in the real world, putting everything they have on the line, at near breaking point, to fight for a very just cause. Michael Mann delivers this film so well, and the performances really transcend the "star power" of the cast, and cut through to extremely believable characters - I don't feel like "wow, Pacino/Crowe/Plummer et al were great", I feel like I observed genuine humans really going through the wash!
The acting is top notch and organic. "Wipe that smirk off your face!" One of the best verbal beatdowns on film ever!❤
You two are hilarious on the reaction. The high fives are a great touch to your feelings on how the story is playing out.

I love the fact that you & your dad have your own RUclips channel together! Just awesome! Two fantastic movies that I would love to suggest are: “Inside Man” with Denzel Washington & “The Illusionist” with Edward Norton. I hope you and your father review them.

If I may suggest. The Exorcist, Die Hard, Jaws, Capricorn One, Heaven Can Wait, The remake from around 1978 starring Warren Beatty. Original Poseidon Adventure, Original Death Wish, original Planet of the Apes movies. And anything by Clint Eastwood. Gran Torino would be a great start. But Dirty Harry movies from the '70s are some of his best. Stay safe and be well always, the both of you !
