Thank you for the excellent video - it was all I needed to replace my glass cooktop. The only difference with mine took me a while to figure out - but in the end it was easier. With my Jenn Air, the heating elements were attached to a metal frame that is permanently glued onto the underside of the glass top. All I needed to do was remove 8 screws and then move the heating elements over to the new top. My confusion was in thinking I needed to remove the metal frame and reglue it to the new glass top - that would have been impossible :-) Folks, don't be afraid to have a go at doing this job yourself You saved me a few hundred $ - big thanks!
Thanks for the video. I replaced the top on our stove that had cracked. Only step not included in your instructions was that I removed the back of the stove that covers the fan to the oven. The two screws on the back of the cook top was difficult to get out as I didn't have a magnetic driver handy. Fortunately, the back panel is only held on by 2 screws at the top, so removing it and putting it back on added very little difficulty to the job. Very handy to have your video to guide me through the process.

Thanks for the video, helped me out after my top cracked. Only issue I ran into was that the screw holes in the new top weren't fully ready to accept the old screws, really had to put some effort to get them in.

Always know your technician is well qualified when he says he I removing the gas burner knobs...on an electric stove. Also uses a pc of cardboard🤣🤣🤣 to change burners , then says 2 ppl are needed to lift and place. Grief man, I've done dozens of those myself lol.

ditto - that required some cursing. I think they maybe are self-tighting made to create a grip or something. That did take a lot of pressure.
