Fantastic. This is the only counter top video I could find, loads of stove tops. My switch went out so I'm gonna have to do this twice. Once to figure out the new piece I need and twice to replace it when I get it.
Thanks for the video. I found it very helpful in replacing a burner knob control box that had a broken shaft. Cooktop removal and reinstallation were just as shown in your video.
Helpful video. Our white one of 9 years in the same model just cracked. They don't make white anymore so we got the black white spattered one. Going to install this weekend. Thanks!
Thanks for the video, I was attempting to lift the entire thing out in order to fix the dual burner control but the downdraft made it nearly impossible. your video really helped by sliding in a few boards!
Hello Sir! Thanks for the VDO. I have the same cooktop. I did burn the fan knob and would like to ask you for an advise on how to change the Fan knob if you could. Thank you 🙏
Great video. We have the exact same unit. We have the exact same back splash tile. And we live in Parker. Small small world if you live in Challenger Park Estates. Our dual burner only works with the inner ring. Time to disassemble and figure out if it's the burner or the switch.
There should be some metal screws holding the cooktop to the fan. You should be able to find them in the vent area. That’s how I got mine out. I didn’t lift the whole unit out
I’m trying to figure out how to get this thing out of the way so I can have new countertops installed. Do I need to remove the entire thing? Or can I disconnect the top from the fan?
The range model number I repaired is JED8430BDB; part number 792P202-60. I suggest looking for a sticker with the model number of your range - the sticker should be on part of the fan housing inside cabinet below the cooktop. Then search online for parts for that range model number.
It certainly is easier to pull them up if they're not sealed, but if you don't seal them, then if/when you spill something on the cooktop (which is flat), the liquid finds a way to drip down into the cabinet below. It gets pretty gross pretty quickly.
This video really helped. Not many videos out there with the fan underneath the counter. 👍

Thank you for this!! I just replaced our cooktop thanks to your help :)

Kindly, can you list the model? Also, my glass top is fine but the bottom right element stopped working all of sudden any recommendations?

I need that too!

I have the exact same stove model number and all. What would make two of the burners to stop working
That's what I want to know! Can't find aby videos for replacing the burners. My glass top is fine
how do you replace fan knob?
Hi, may I ask how you lifted the cooktop out of its place?

Saved my arse getting it out of the counter. Cheers!
Where to buy the topglass
Does a jennair stove need to be replaced with another Jennair because of the downdraft? Or can I use another brand that doesn’t have the downdraft?
There is other brand that offer such but it is indeed a rare thing to come by
Kitchenaid has one with the knobs on one side, the fan fits pretty well with the jenn air position.

Hi, thank you for your video.
I have a same one like yours and time to replace it.
Could you tell me Where did you order it?
Mine has a seal around the unit impossible to lift the unit up. Any suggestions?
I would try to use a razor knife to separate the seal
Where can I buy the glass?
Appliancepartspros.com, Sears.com, repairclinic.com are all sites I use. I would check all three & price compare.
@@ParkerHome How can I send to Brazil? Generally these sites are so send to the USA
Thanks for a great video. I have to replace the exact same cook top. Where did you get the new one? Do you happen to know what the model number is?

Thank you. Big help.
I have a friend who installs granite counters, he never seals cook tops that are heavy like this one- just drop it in and hook it up.

Yep, also the water can go down on oven connectors and make some nasty damage.
Model I have is JED8430BDF and found crack on cooktop. Can I use ceramic cooktop of model JED8430BDB (Part number 74007072)?
no tienes el diagrama electrico de esa cocina
It looks better to leave it without adhesive.
