I like how everyone is complaining about the tempo when in reality this is how fast this piece is played. Their band teachers probably slowed the tempo for their level.
This was the best song I've played and I am in the year 3 highest level band in my second year but this song was easy and I loved playing high. I write covers for myself to play for solos and some go up to the high E way above the staff.

Not only are they an adult band, but everyone except beginning band students doesn't tap their foot because they know how to keep tempo. You're clearly under the age of 12.
I just played this for the 6th grade winter concert and this is about as fast as we played it. Learned that I needed to line up with the melody way too late. Luckily, the percussion made up for the bad job that the clarinets were doing. By the way, If you are a clarinet player bear through the pain it’s rewarding at the end.

If you compare this to any electronic arrangement of the same song, it becomes clear the tempo is too fast. They did slow down to the correct temp in the middle, but then sped up again once they got though that section.
I swear if my band played this piece in a concert we'd all be sweating like pigs since for most of us we are the only instrument and if we screw up everybody will know and start pointing fingers, to make things worse I'm a tuba player this year and I've never played tuba before

Hahaha! Not my ISD 1st years had to do this song at 6th grade and we buchered the song BADLY we went at tempo
