Those thin hazard stripes are CRISP - I would maybe paint the pauldrons trim brass, but this way also looks great (and is faster if you want to build an army quickly)
Glad that you like it! Im just a painter. So i will always go for hazard stripes! Your idea for a gaming army sounds anyways perfect! :)
fantastic work in an insanely fast speed! well done, you definitely have a new subscriber
Thank you very much! Glad that you like the guide! :)
I love these no nonsense rapid guides!
Thank you! This is the idea behind this format. no bla, bla for more ads. Just painting instructions step, by step.
Just gave this a go and it came out great. Thanks for the vid!
Glad to hear, that you achieved a great result! Thank you for the feedback buddy!
don't be afraid to share your result in the discord! :)
Awesome result! Any chance you could show how you did that base?
ruclips.net/video/iVoJPrltduU/видео.html recipes in the description :)
Nice warrior!
thank you very much!
Awesome tut, would you mind sharing how you did the base please?
Before you ask questions like that, you should take a look on my videos. there is already a mars base video which includes the recipe in the description :)
@@plaguenarr Doh! Sorry, I completely missed it when taking a look. Teaches me to not
let the coffee settle in first. Thank you.
This one, has Iron whit in.
Thank you, glad that you like it!
Great job! I would only suggest leaving the paints up on screen for longer or displaying the names somehow. Love how the model turned out!
thank you for your feedback! I don't want be salty but, every color is listed in the description, even with the mix rate :) ♥
darakoth flesh and contrast medium for rust effects? that's a pretty good idea.
man i envy people who can paint detailed hazzard stripes. i can't paint a good mini even with my shaky hands but i can't do free hand like that
Thank you, buddy! if you struggle with hazard stripes, take a look on pk-pro shop (link in description). Buy some masking tape in the size you want them. I guess for a marine it should be 1-3mm ones. Simply just do it by masking the area and paint over. On the other hand, its good brush control practice. Use a painting handle, support your hands on the desk. Use thin not thick paint! And go on for freehand and brush control practice!🤟
@@plaguenarr thanks for the tips! i'll give them a shot. though I did make a typo in that comment on account of typing it on my phone. i meant to write i CAN paint a good mini but can't free hand to save my life. whoops XD
@musicalDrebin Got it, mate! Trust me, if you already understood the process of glazing and layering. Freehand is not that hard. You should really take a look to train some basic sketching like circles and squares. After that it is much easier.
@@plaguenarr you know what? that's exactly what i'll do. i had recently bought a sketch pad, so im gonna do that. i'll also work on glazing as that's not something i've put a lot of work into. thanks for the tips :)
@@musicalDrebin You're welcome! I'm always glad if i can help! :)
👍!
thanks!
very cool format and the result is great too; im not too sure about darkoath flesh tho. seems to add a bit of a greenish touch.
Thank you for the feedback buddy! There is not a slight green touch on my model. possibly some Screen settings ? ;)
@@plaguenarr ofc, there is no actual green pigment in there. maybe it's the undercoat or how the light interacts with the color; for me it looks like there's a greenish patina- style effect occuring at around 0:42 at the brightest spot of the chestplate.
it's nothing major tho, personally i'd rather take something which hints at a bronze color shift
@@Bizarrnonsense test it yourself and you will see there is no green, i can see what you mean, but i have the model right in my hand. i think its a video artifact. But ofc you can use every contrast wash you want. Darkoath is my choice because of the slight weathering effect it brings onto the model :)
@@plaguenarr haha okay ill iron within my autism rn and believe you. :)
i sure hope there are more videos coming; would be very cool to have a weathered/ combat variant implemented in your vids as well.
@@Bizarrnonsense i will make separate guides for weathering and battle damage soon. Same as the OSL :)
