Thank you for your VERY helpful overview and demonstration! Our door was from 1960 with original rollers. We did not have to bang on the side frames as the whole bottom frame came off and gave us easy access. Showing us the 'teeth' that lock the roller cartridge in place was key. Thank you again! Now we are just waiting for the part from Swisco.
The parrots are beautiful and so well behaved. Thanks for posting. I had no idea this could be done. I’m replacing rollers on a screen door. Having found the exact replacement yet.
thanks, mine aren't exactly the same but your videos give me a very good idea to accomplish the job. I finished the project a few minutes ago and now the doors are really sliding, not dragging anymore
Great video.....doing mine tomorrow.....what a coincidence I have the same cage and same colored Macaw.....they are very curious birds....yours is very well behaved....when you were hammering and he squaked ...mine let out a yell and raised his wings.....
Perfect. Very detailed that it might be silly to some but can be life saving when you said to drive the set screws before driving the side panels. Well done 👍. Thank you 🙏
Again great video one add. Have to remove the screw to the handle, on mine to get the support rail to move. I did it once before forgot. All I remembered was I hope to move before doing again. Dig the screened pool.
I subsvribed and hit lije because your video is the best tutorial ive ever seen you should be a teacher im not exaggerating you really give clear instructions so thank you for that gave it a thumbs up ..take care man stay frosty. Your MacCaw is on lockdown solitary confinement hard time...no buddy no bunky no roomie no girlie no dude no one lives out there only when the weather permits right? Poor bird...Hey man did you know those birds the MacCaws fly on the average on a really bad day 50 miles but average on the norm of over 100 miles a day....each day...they are social animals so sad they live so long and this is his life great view poolside view and i bet in summertime seein chicks in bathing suits great life for us but i bet he just stares out at the trees and the sky...sad man...poor old jail bird..lol..no lol.
This is very helpful. I have an exactly same patio door and same problem. I want to fix it but I did not get the company name for ordering the new part. Thank you!
Thanks for taking the time and effort to make this video. I have the exact door and problem. Did u have to change all four rollers on the door? From Cyprus
Should you have used metal wheels instead of nylon. Correct me if I'm wrong but those looked like nylon wheels which may wear faster. Very good video overall. Now I can work on my doors.
Thank you for these videos! How old is that door? Our house was built in the mid 80's...I imagine there were only a couple of styles of roller wheels then? They guy that came out here did not replace the wheels just cleaned it and sprayed grease. What an idiot. I imagine anybody that does this for a living knows exactly what rollers it would have by looking at the door, and has the rollers in his truck.
Not sure how old the door is. Although my house was built in mid 1970s. Not 100 percent sure if the doors have ever been replaced, although they look original to me! I hoped this helped. Thanks!

How did you know what parts to order before you pulled the old ones?
This is very helpful. I have an exactly same patio door and same problem. I want to fix it but I did not get the company name for ordering the new part. Thank you!
Nice video but you didn't show how to get the door out. Do you have to take out the stationary panel first?
I'm wondering where to get a replacement left side rail for that exact same door
Thank you for your posting and my problem solved throu this video.
Thank you so much and I wanted to ask how did you determine which Wheels to get
I had to take them out first to determine and then put them back in to take them out. Lol :(

Is there a way to determine which door a person has before removing the door so the parts can be ready
Not that I know. Although if you find a way please share. Thanks
How do I know what rollers to buy? I just bought my house and have no info on what kind of sliding doors I have. What to do? Ty
U need to take one of the rollers out to measure it first. Then u can order. From Cyprus
Great video
Drill the outer hole larger to install the screw!!!!

laconic!!! 😀👍👍
Why did you move the side out of the way
why would you replace it with plastic wheels

"I've hear that the plastic ones are better"
At breaking, maybe.
You put the roller insert in upside down....holy shit.....
THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOUD BE DOING PUBLICALLY, YOUR WHOLE PROCEDURE IS ""VERY CLUMSY ""
