The models looks fantastic! As always your painting is very good. The kit looks very interesting and I am glad to see length and link tracks as well as a one piece suspension in the kit. Airfix really did a great job on this and I appreciate the in box review of the kit. Thanks for sharing this.
Great work, especially in the small scale. Your Sherman Firefly looks more than well, with a good paintwork and weathering and a good eye for the little details. Very nice work and a great result! Greetings, Joachim
Another great build! I have learnt so much from you, you have inspired me to tackle brush painting. Also showing me how amazing it can look. Thank you 🤟
That’s great to hear that I’ve somehow inspired you to brush paint. Thank you though, I appreciate that you enjoy my work. Good luck with brush painting your models. :-)
Nice job! This kit will probably be my first after coming back to armour modelling after a break of over thirty years! So much has changed - paints, adhesives, detailing parts, techniques - so a lot to learn and try out. You have a like and a new subscriber!
Hey thanks. I appreciate the kind words. Best of luck to you and your return to this beautiful hobby. I’m flattered to think that I’ve somehow helped you.
Awsome videos. The only models i hand brush paint are airfix 1/72 scale planes and use Vallejo air paints thier line of airplane war paint schemes they have sets for every era and coubtry that the plane came from and they lay on so smooth you cant even see the brush strokes when finished if you thin it just by keeping brush wet with water and doing light coats and switch the way you brush on each coat most of time it only takes two coats and sometimes depends on part and color one coat is plenty as well. Great job im gonna hand paint me a tank next im building a 1/72 scale ww2 diorama using all airfix kits in 1/72 scale its looking amazing. I found on ebay airfix made 1/72 scale soilder kits from ww2 era and there is one german and one american kot i got and it came with 15 soilders in each kit. And then on amazon i found this American marine infantry set with 45 pieces which means when built you will have 45 different figures and weapons that are bunker mounted or ground used thats to heavy to carry.the men have thier service rifles some with side pistols and gernades on their vests and uniforms glame throwers ect its a great kit to aff to airfix 1/72 scale armor tabks and vehicles and planes to make a diorama. Its almost liek they intended you to buy all the sets in that scale to make a diorama which they did so it on purpose lol which i love and its all so small its easy to hanf paint with a very fine paint brush and thined down vallejo paints, i love habd painting stuff like that brings back childhood memories of me hand painting figures abd small planes and parts for the huhe model aircraft carriers that i built with dad as a kid and i would sit for hours every night with him for years ha d painting little figures and planrs for the carriers and two of the ones we built in 1/250 scale won first place at a huge model show that had thousands of models we competed against to win best in show.
Best of luck with it then. This is one of Airfix’s finer kits in my opinion. And I can’t imagine you having too much trouble with it. Also I’m glad the video gave you some helpful tips.
Cheers ! It was a double kit boxing with the new-tool Tiger for 20 quid - good value for money, i would say . Both kits assembled very nicely. I added some extra resin stowage to the Firefly but left the Tiger as it came . They are about 80% done, they just need messing up . I've always been primarily an enamel painter but have plenty of acrylics to play with . The soap and water idea is good , i used to use a similar idea for aircraft panel lines but have never tried it on armour the way you use it . Thanks again , nice work 🙂👍👍
@@jimmytgoose476 The soap wash is used by some war gamers (WH40k) for example. And it gets the job done for accentuating details. Especially when I only use acrylics. Either way. I’m sure you’ll have fun finishing up that Tiger and Firefly. Have a good rest of your day. :)
You're the legend amico!Great job as always!Since this heat wave started I've basically stopped building or painting anything. By the way do you like 1:72 scale modeling books? If so, do you have a preferred one like "Perfection" by Sergey Golikov?
1/72 is my favorite scale. So I’ll try and look for that book then. I appreciate the suggestion. I’ve been meaning to find a book that covers this scale. Thank you.
I do, but not as thin as when I’m applying the first layer of base paint. It has to be semi-thick in order to be precise. Also be sure to remove excess paint on the brush before adding chips/scratches.
Thank you. Funny that you ask, I actually went to a model show a couple of weeks ago. I’ll be posting the video soon here. But next year, I’m definitely entering the competition.
Nice work my friend! One thing though, the firefly you mentioned didn't kill witman, though it did kill 3 tigers in the same battle, there's a documentary on the subject that mentions how a group of Canadian tanks killed Wittman
Nice to see another brush painter seems to be a sea of people using airbrushes, nothing wrong with a hairy stick!
I know, we may be a small community. But brush painting is just so satisfying to do. :-)

No, thank you for watching. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day in watching me build n’ paint this kit together. :)
Love this Firefly!! Als othankyou for making your tutorial on Vallejo paints thinned down with soap, it works perfectly for my 1/72nd T-62 !
It looks wonderful! My inner teaboo is very happy!
Thanks man! I’m happy that you enjoyed the video. :)
Really appreciate you showing the colors and "how"you painted. I'm working on a M4 that I resin printed..
Fantastic work! Very, very impressed.

Looks great - the camo scheme works really well

Beautiful!!!
omg i just watched ur videos today and thought about new video... and it's here! perfect work😍
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it. :)
Wow!
Beautiful 👍🌷
I recently made one of these but haven't finished painting it yet ; you've given me some nice pointers 🙂

And you ! 🙂👍👍
I like the result very much on this small model! :)
Great to sea brush painting. Keeping the hobby affordable.
Looks great man!👍
Absolutely love love love
When you do comeback. You should build the 1:35 scale leopard 2a7v from tamiya. And use ak acrylic paints for the whole model
Outstanding!
Awesome 👍
Could u make a "how to make a Camo using a brush " tutorial you're very good at it 👍
I will keep that in mind. Yes.
I love the end result.. :) :)
Thanks for the great vid! :D
wait so the kit comes with 2 options of tracks? pre built and self assemble?
Yes and what you’ve already said. One track part is cleated and the other is smooth. Just as you saw in the video. :)
@@Modkits131 alright thank u!
Yup NP.
Great!

Hi im painting a 1 72 sherman, ive painted it us olive drab, where do i paint yellow for highlights, just on raised areas??
Any raised details that pop out from the flat surface. You can use a subtle dry brush technique to provide a better view.
Салам алейкум! Hello from Kyrgyzstan!
Hello! Happy to have a viewer from Kyrgzstan. :-)
Do you use matt varnish to wrap it all up?
I personally don’t seal it with a matte varnish as it would ruin the wet effects and satin camouflage paint. Just my preference.
Do you thin the paint used for the scratches/chipping?
I do, but not as thin as when I’m applying the first layer of base paint. It has to be semi-thick in order to be precise. Also be sure to remove excess paint on the brush before adding chips/scratches.
Nice work!!! The camo and markings make it so much better. Have you been to a model show with these recently?
Thank you. Funny that you ask, I actually went to a model show a couple of weeks ago. I’ll be posting the video soon here. But next year, I’m definitely entering the competition.
great sffort , the stowage bin at back is upside down and too low

Thank you for correcting me. I’d only remembered what the tank curator from the Bovington Tank Museum had said, but my memory was still hazy. :-)
Wardaddy: " Best job I ever had! "
the great tricks is when you buy version with Polish marks you gets fast assembly models with one pieces tracks. For me this is bad play from airfix
now we just need a us sherman with the 76mm
