Cool wall! I am building a 8x12 adjustable wall right now and I was going to use 6x 10” shed strap hinges, then I saw they only support 35lbs each!! I couldn’t believe it. Now I am using 6x 5” commercial stainless steel butt hinges as they hold 225 each. I’m curious, what do you use for hinges and have you ever had a hinge fail? Thanks for all of your content
Thanks for these videos and also the lean-to plans. I'm building a hoist-adjusted board in a pole barn, and this content is really helpful. One question: Would you mind sharing the OD and wall thickness of that steel tube?
1.5" schedule 40 pipe (not black pipe). It comes out to be about 1.9" OD. I need to mention that it's not meant for supporting climbers weight, only the weight of the wall for moving it.
That's awesome!
Thanks James! This wall came out really good and I do think it is the best home wall (not in a mansion) that I've seen.

I use heavy duty door hinges or gate hinges. The way I design the wall also doesn't put a lot of pressure on the hinges.
Looks amazing man, well done!
Watched a couple of the "making of" vids, you sure know your stuff!
Thanks!
Thanks you for the videos, the wall looks great, I'm curious what type of a connector did you use to connect the steel tube to the wall leg?
It has a welded flange and a grade 8 3/8" bolt. The pipe also goes through the leg so the bolt is really just there to keep it together.
Looks really nice:) will you share the instructions at one point?
Hey, i'm looking for this typ of climbing wall. Your link in the description doesn't work anymore. Do you still have the plan for this one ? 😁
Thanks for your interest. I was selling it as a kit but have stopped. I'm working on build plans now but will take some time before they are complete.
@@climberdad would love to get some plans as well
