I think that the automatic camera adjustment allows to see only the Seeker 2 true potential, or at least close to that. My feeling is that it masks the brute force of the Marauders.
@@ktys206 mate, I absolutely love it, I swear if I ever catch an intruder around my place and I have it in my hand, they’re going down hard. It’s not only ridiculously bright and versatile, but it’s a solid chunk of weight and feels absolutely premium.
@jasonthompson869 sure is mate all you need now is a couple of dogs so they can bite the b a l l s when you put them down haha. Am waiting to get the limited edition blue xr9 it's 25k lumen 😂😂
Well actually if you want more throw than a what a Javelot Turbo can offer there are LEP lights and also a Lot further throwing LED lights, my Fenix TK16 V2 has 3100lumens and a lot further range than a Seeker 2 pro, also the X9R is cool but for the same price you can buy an Imalent MS18 wich can hold 20K lumens for an hour instead of few minutes or a Fenix LR80R wich has 18K lumens with a more usable beam compared to a X9R...I like Olights but they are 100% overhyped
I understand and acknowledge that there are other brands and models that do compare favorably to Olight in performance. As an Olight collector, I was saying that the Javelot Turbo has the best throw in the Olight lineup. I don't have experience with Fenix as a brand. I don't find their products appealing. I collect and support Olight because the performance is more than acceptably impressive, and for their emphasis on non-performance features, like charging compatibility, physical design and appearance, and feel in the hand. As well as for intangible qualities like warrantee, customer service, and community support. This video was made originally for the Olight Canada Facebook page. For people with other priorities, there are many other flashlight brands that can be considered when making a purchase decision.
Huh ? Charging compatability ? Olight compatability sucks. Olight is all about proprietary, not compatability. You can only charge an Olight with an Olight charger unit. Lost of broke the MCC charger ? Sucks for you. You can't even by a USBc at a gas station on the road to get your light back in operation. Want to charge the battery on a standard battery charger? Nope.. also sucks for you. Olight peaked & is starting to go down hill. There's something to be said about versatility. Olight has ZERO versatility. And I own several Olights. But you have to give credit where credit is due & Olight has gone down hill with their whole "proprietary Only" train. I get the whole "collectors market" and all the different colors. Performance wise.. Olight is no better than Fenix. Do they have rainforest dew drop, skyline blue & vampire red anodized lights? No. But I can use multiple battery types AND use ANY companies USBc charger to charge my 18650 battery. It's crazy that everyone buys into Olights shenanigans. The next "proprietary only" move Olight is going to do will be this, completely sealed lights. Like the Marauder 2. "No more batteries, no more hassles".. and then you really are going to be buying a limited time use tool.
Yeah I second that. Fenix tk20r v 2.0 best all around flight I’ve ever seen. I love the smaller o lights tho like the edc baton 2 and 3 pro. Really great stuff.
@@doejon9424 I mean I certainly agree with a lot of this but I don't think fenix is better than Olight overall, or any company is. It comes down to individual lights, Olight has some good stuff and a lot of lights that aren't really worth it and get outperformed. Same goes for some fenix lights. You definitely shouldn't blindly buy lights based on the company. The x9r was probably pretty impressive when it came out but at this point it's just super overpriced and gets outperformed by so many cheaper, brighter and more versitaile lights.
It's a 5 year warrantee, but as you know they are out of production. Not sure how Olight would handle a warrantee replacement if there's no stock avaliable.
@samfoster709 thanks for your reply but ye that's what am thinking to it's on another level rho don't no hiw ill pass the xr9 off to the misses it to big to say iv had it for a year if I get it lol
Great Review.... I have a X7R MARAUDER, and Love It. That being said, " It May Be Time For An UpGrade " The new power switch with battery life and light intensity indicators is a Great Update, plus the Tactical Ends look frightening, ( as in good for the user, not so much for an intruder )
Great review Sam. Thanks for being truthful about whom these lights are Really for! And especially going to an way long distance range, so we can REALLY see just how good these lights are. Keep up the great reviews, & I will always be a subscriber.

Camera metering should be in manual mode. Compensates for brightness changes in auto mode. 😉
Good call. Thank you.
Anyway, I liked the video. Good luck with the other videos.
Those moths are like "Holy shit! this is PARADISE!!"
My Marauder Mini ( not sure if that’s the same as the Marauder 2 ) should be arriving tomorrow here in Australia, can’t wait to test it out !!!
Its different mate I have the marauder mini to its a beast of a torch how are you finding it yourself tho?

Seeker and Marauder similar in size?
In height, yes, similar. The width is about the same as 2 seekers side by side
@@samfoster709 I have both and the Marauder 2 is huge in comparison.

Not paid. Just a huge fan and collector. I did win a prize for this video review in the form of free product, that's why I made it in the first place.
