Evening, Robbie 👍🏼. What a ripper of a torch, mate. I have one very similar that I purchased years ago and it just lights everything up around me, lol . Great review, mate .
Thank you so much Blaine. I wanted one for ages. I kept asking them to send me one to review. Haha Eventually I ended up just buying it myself because I wanted it so bad. 🤣🤣🤣
That spot is ridiculous…ly good. Superb. And think about it, it makes sense to have a spot that tight so it can reach past the flood pattern of this light since it’s such a beast. That spot has no bleed, super clean, I do not see the problem with it. You had mentioned at the start of the video you didn’t like it and thought it wasn’t a good spot, I assume you had tried it indoors that first time maybe? Because it’s tight as a tiger now…
Hi mate, i've slowly got used to it. It's not that I don't like it, it's more that I expected it to be quite a lot brighter than the flood. I have a lot of Olights here and this one is my favourite.
Haha thanks Dave. That thumbnail was photographed with my phone. LOL It's an unedited phone photo. Haha Great idea about the review intro. I will need to be creative and think of something. Haha 🤣
Hey Robbie, love your videos! I was wondering what is your recommendation for a headlamp from olight? I would mostly use it for blood trailing deer and night time fishing state side. Would you just buy the most expensive one or is there a better option in your opinion? Thanks for the entertainment!
Hi mate, I have reviewed the Array 2 and the Perun 2. They're both great headlamps and similarly priced. The Perun 2 is the brightest by a long way, and has great variation in brightness from crazy bright to moon mode. It's also the heaviest and more prone to stretching the head strap. The Array 2 is not as bright, but definitely bright enough for following a blood trail. It has 2 globes, both with 3 brightness settings. It also has a very bright red globe if you want a red light. As a bonus it has motion sensors so that if you have blood on your hands, or gloves on you can adjust the brightness by waving your hand past the torch. (Within 25cm of torch) I'm lucky enough to have both because they were sent to me for review but if I could only have one I think I would choose the Array 2.
You should of bought the Acebeam X50 2.0 50000 lumens $100 more but 3 times brighter and a better flashlight. Olight needs to up there lumens like Acebeam and IMALENT ! Thanks for your review 😊
Agree on the Imalent and Acebeam being ahead, I've got the X75 and that is a monster! As for a combo flashlight, I use the Fenix LR40R (old one), but just like with the Olight here tho, it is lacking a bit in the spot department IMO. They should've gone for double intensity on the spot LED. The X75 is heavy but got tons of runtime at high output and the high flood is reaching (subjectively) as far as the spot on my Fenix😁
Thanks so much mate. Olight are a very reputable company. Have you seen the add for the torch that's so bright that it cuts through walls? Haha 😂😂😂 This super bright Olight has a proximity sensor so that when it is held too close to an object it dulls down to prevent fire hazards.
@@brentk4418 I'm not complaining as such, It just wasn't as bright as I had expected. As a RUclipsr, it's very important to be as honest as possible. Thanks very much Robbie mate. Can’t see shit now I looked at the wrong time haaa . Awesome review mate and torch. Imagine wearing it around your neck?? You’ll need to visit the chiropractor lol 😝. Take care mate. Catch you soon
Absolutely it is UF. The only way to do it is to put the camera in full manual, and set the iso at a setting and leave it there. I have tried this with torches less bright than this. What I going was that if I have the iso high enough to detect the lowest setting, it become overexposed before the torch is at half brightness. LOL You can increase the shutter speed in video, to darken it, but that defeats the purpose. Even with thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment I have found the best way to film the night scenes is with my mobile phone. They give the most accurate representation and they don't hunt focus nearly as bad as larger cameras.
Crazy good flood touch but doesn’t look like I could shoot a fox at 250 meters tho is there something in there range that would be good for spot lighting? Thanks for the video mate
Thanks mate. 👍 The Javelot turbo is very popular with shooters spotlighting rabbits and foxes. It has no flood, but has a much tighter spot than this torch and is about $100 cheaper.
Is that the one that costs 600 bucks seen one that can start a fire like a light saber had a ally pot on top of touch was made for special force's can throw a beam 2km. Seen add when on your channel.
Hey Brett I have seen that off too. This one reaches 1300 metres. This one won't burn anything because it has a proximity sensor that dims the light whenever anything is in front of it. It is a great safety feature. From memory I paid around $350 for mine..

Hey Robbie, completely different question in regards to the video.. but do you know of a good timber lure maker/supplier for cod? Asking for a friend, he looked at our local fishing shop and he couldn’t find any at all! 😮
G'day mate. Local timber lure maker. I know that predator lures make timber surface lures. I think their divers are moulded plastic but their surface lures are timber. RTB lures (Ray Broughton) still makes timber Murray cod lures, maybe look him up. He has a Facebook page.
They're both great. I prefer this one because I Iike the fact that it can be used as a powerbank to charge my phone in an emergency. I also like the extra brightness.

Hahaha I have had this torch since Christmas and use it more than any of my other olights. As a wildlife photographer I use this to photograph owls, possums etc... and to spot other wildlife such as foxes and dear. I'm no longer a hunter as I let my licence expire, but if I did still hunt this would be my spotlight. Did you ever see the video of me scooping up all of the yabbies under the dry spillway at night time? That was all filmed under this light. My mate Tim held the torch for me which gave me ample light to film and catch all of those yabbies.
