I have medium density, high porosity hair. I wear wash n gos 98% of the time. I co-wash on day 4 or 5 , do a Doux foam only wash n go and then a regular wash day about 4 days later . So I wash every 8-10 days or so. I have to keep my hair moisturized but it works.

Thats good this doesn’t really work for my hair as im high density aswell as medium-high porosity

I would love to know what protein deep conditioners do you recommend for low porosity hair that are CGF. Can you use a moisture deep conditioner after a protein?

yes you can use a moisture based on. I like the Mielle babassu protein one for low porosity hair

I struggle with this. I can’t braid or canerow my own hair - so what options are there that are low manipulation but don’t involve the need to braid/twist or canerow?

I usually have twists in, but wanted to do something different and currently in a ponytail, i plan on keeping it in for 5 days and going back to twists, is this okay?

Chuckling. Military regulations require hair to be pulled back into a bun or ponytail. I'm 58 with low density, low porosity 3BC4A hair. I only put heat on my hair when I get it blown out, straightened, and blunt cut. I usually wet it and use some conditioner when getting ready for work. When straight, it's well past my bra strap. On weekends I might do a wash n go. I'll retire soon and might go on a "civilian hair journey". 😃

@kekekurly when I'm feeling "dressy" in uniform, I'll wear a "sock bun". Put ponytail through a "donut" made with a cut-up sock. I've seen similar "donuts" in beauty supply stores. Gel the top down well and good to go!
