I seriously thought I was doing refreshes wrong! Some times it is so hot in TX that I have to refresh mid week but I prefer a cowash cause it worked so much better. My hair is 50% 3c and 50% 4 a. I was actually thinking this morning that I need to get better at flat twisting my whole head and get a sit under hair dryer… my usual wash n gos in this heat aren’t hitting. Thanks for confirming my thoughts!
“Refreshing” doesn’t work for me either! I have to completely wet my hair in the shower, add leave in and sometimes gel. Because I live in Las Vegas where the weather is extremely dry, I have to complexly wet my hair at least every other day no matter the season.
When I used to use oil and butters, moisture only lasted in my hair 3 days max, and if I tried to add anything my hair would get weighed down and a lot of buildup. I prefer to wash my hair and add a light leave in and a light cream and that lasts longer. I only use oil 3 days before I wash my hair
I enjoyed this video. ❤ I have found that my 3c/4a hair does not like leave-in of any kind. Not spray, or cream, or butters. They make my hair too soft/moisturized and my hair becomes unsightly with frizz. After shampoo and conditioner, my hair wants water and a gel like Natures Little Secret Okra Curl Defining Gel, or Mane Choice Tropical Moringa Styling Gel. Weird!
Can you do a video on how to trim your ends and the best products to use to maintain healthy hair when straightening? Been following your vids for a while and your advice has really worked for me! 🫶🏽
Glad I could you- I have a couple of videos of how i trim my hair. (always at a salon).I don't really use products on my hair when it is straight to be honest. Other than controlling the frizz with shine n jam lol and some serum on my ends
I thought I was doing something wrong because my refreshes would dry so frizzy and stiff. Glad to know I’m not the only one.
Deffo not the only one lol!

Lol not at all. Flat twists are great also but sometimes if its humid twists end up looking a mess i find.

Such a good video! I think it's very informative and doesn't get discussed enough.
