Rotten fruit never falls far from the rotten tree. So tragic.
Wow. His Mum and the blatant victim blaming is incredible. I could not believe she literally said that it was Deborah's fault. No wonder he turned out to be such a wonderful person.
yea I dont see how she can say that while knowing he was the one stalking her and wouldnt leave her alone
@@phoenixmerridian9119😅
I was in a horrific relationship with an abuser and I told his elderly mom. I showed her bruises. She told me to “be a good woman, be patient, and keep these matters private”. I felt lost and alone, as my parents have passed years ago. I left him after he did some scary things and was charged w 8 felonies. He had told me many times he would kill me. I am sure he would have if I stayed. My heart goes out to these victims, the fear is real. I am grateful he has no idea where I am now.
@The_other_Jen I'm so sorry. I'm glad you are safe now, well as safe as it is possible to feel after all that trauma. It would have taken a lot to tell his Mum and she completely let you down, she should have done the opposite. I'm just so incredibly sorry that someone did this to you but you are so incredibly strong.
@@Danica.Powell thanks so much. I do feel very safe and happier now. ❤️
His mom asked that her son be shown dignity.....didn't the victim deserve just as much dignity, if not more, to have her life taken so brutally in front of her children!!?? Absolutely ridiculous and delusional! The nerve of her! He should be shown far less mercy than what he showed to Deborah!!
boy moms are often delusional, overprotective , and borderline incestual
Dude.
It's his MOTHER. Of course she's wanting to help her son as much as she possibly COULD right now she knows she can't help him so her words are all she HAS and no matter what happens that's her SON and as heinous and disgusting as the crime is (and it Is, probably one of the MOST disgusting) it's still her child and she's still his mother. The mother isn't responsible so why comment some shit like that as if she did... Are you telling me you would be able to just completely wash your hands of your kid???? You can't even answer that because you've never been thru it so don't even try.
If you wanna be ugly then be ugly towards HIM not his mom.
Yes, I could. Just like I completely washed my hands of my father. You are under no obligation to your mother or children. They are still human and as human, at a certain maturity, understand right and wrong, that harming someone is wrong. As a parent you help them understand consequences and accountability.
Under no circumstance should you defend unjust cruel behavior simply because of blood relation, that is a naive, immature and dangerous take@@allexgarcia7312
@@allexgarcia7312 umm I have a son and all I’m going to say to your reply is WTF.
@allexgarcia7312 Let me try to make my point clearer so you can fully understand. As a mother myself, I have a conscience, and I teach my children to listen to their conscience and to treat others the way we want to be treated. Which means I have the ability to think of and sympathize with others. To make such a statement as his mother did is heartless to the victim. I care about all my children deeply, so much so they call me mother bear because I defend and care for them to no end. I only want the best in life for my kids and push myself every single day to make sure they do physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. But as much as my kids are my world, I also have the ability to think of others. If my child had committed such a horrific act as this monster, in my heart, I would be screaming for every compassion for my child, but I would not say it publicly out of respect to the victim and their loved ones. Although I would be beyond heartbroken and highly angry at my child for throwing their life away and more broken knowing that they took a life that wasn't there's to take, I would plead privately with law officials and get the best defense lawyer out there, even if it bankrupts me. But I would also not downplay the severity of my child's criminal act and blame the victim for what happened, like his mother did. I teach my children that there are reactions to every action, so they need to really think things through before putting their thoughts and emotions into motion. To take accountability and to be honest. That if someone breaks your heart, life will go on and will become better. Not what this mother did by basically justifying her sons monstrous actions. Just because you're a parent doesn't mean you accept everything your child does in life, and not accepting does not mean you love them any less. Accepting bad behavior and overlooking does not help them to become the best person they can be. We're supposed to guide them, support them, and help them learn. Not teach them that everything wrong they do is someone else's fault. This way of parenting is why we now have a society overrun with narcissists. This mothers way of thinking shows me what foundation led to her son being the heartless monster he is and clearly has not helped him at all in life, has it? No, it hasn't. So yes, the mother asking for everyone to show her son dignity is straight b.s. knowing what he put Deborah and her children through. Being this way is NOT being a caring, loving mother. It's being an enabler!
Son stabs his ex girfriend dozens of times, to death, in front of her young children because she didnt want him.
His mom: "well, she asked for it."
Wonder where he learned his values.
I know I just wrote a comment bc I was so upset by what she said. Absolute delusion.
The interview with his mother tells me everything I need to know about how a psychopath is created. The young woman's blood is on her hands also.
Sociopath they are made, psychopaths are born that way
Yea I totally agree!! I'm usually not a fan of blaming the mother but in some cases it's painfully obvious!!
No wonder he turned out like he did……his mothers words tell all. A despicable woman, raised a despicable son.
The fact that the Detective took time to make that little boy smile is so touching.. that’s the best part of this story!
The lengths some people will go to, just to try and make themselves look good. A pathetically transparent move by a closeted narcissist.
@@Erebus.666.Do you know him personally? Do you have a relationship with this detective? If you answered no, then please keep your pessimistic & highly judgemental comments to yourself. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
@judithdohner2959 I absolutely loved that he did that and couldn't believe the 'coincidence' of this little boy loving Yoda and the dog's name was Yoda, precious ❤
@@Erebus.666.Thanks for trying, 🤡.
I don't know whats more pathetically embarrassing
-The killers mother blaming the victim for her own brutal murder
-The prison facility not only allowing one prisoner to escape. But then failing to secure the known escape route, failing to ensure extra security measures in this same area. But also letting ANOTHER prisoner escape months later from the same exact escape route. Absolutely unacceptable to say the least
I second that
Third it!
I’d love to know where all the billions of dollars that go to prisons each year… bc it’s not for rehabilitation or to keep the prisons secure… it’s probably lining the pockets of the people in charge.
It’s pathetic that this many escape’s happen in this area ! Unacceptable for any of these to happen ! The law enforcement agencies are failing in that area! No excuse
murica
His mother is a real piece of work. How DARE she victim blame, by saying Deborah had a "stranglehold" on her son! He was the one doing the stalking! Kinda hard to have a "stranglehold" on a person AND try to escape from that person, simultaneously. Idiocy.
I literally was starting to type what a piece of “something” she was…thank you for saying what I was thinking lol.
You sound surprised. Yet you only have to watch a lot of crime documentaries to know that there are plenty of parents who -- some of whom otherwise seeming sensible enough -- live in complete denial after their son or daughter has committed a crime. Those people would never have admitted beforehand that they would behave that way, and yet when the time came, that's exactly what they did.
I often wonder what the mother would say about other murderers. Like, would she make excuses for them too? If her best friend got murdered, would she be so forgiving? I bet she'd be a massive hypocrite
@@alsmith9853Or if someone murdered her son what she would say. I bet she'd change her tune so fast.
SERIOUSLY!!! The people know that there is an escaped prisoner in your area and you still leave you keys in the car??? SMH
They’re the people with the “it’ll never happen to me “ mindset
Remarkably similar case to that of Gonzalo Lopez, 46, who escaped prison in Texas and eluded capture for two weeks during which he killed a family of five. This just happened I think in May or June. It angers me that a family had to die because law enforcement was inept in not only letting him escape but not capturing him fast enough.
@snoozeflu..I remember that case and it haunted me for a very long time. Very sad!
Was that the one who escaped off the prison bus?
@@deborahsunflower939 yes, he somehow was able to overpower the guards and take the bus. I think he crashed it.
I am from Texas and remember this like it was yesterday.
Plus the infamous escape of Ted Bundy from a Colorado Jail beelining it straight to Florida where he killed all those coeds and a sweet little girl.
It amazes me how some parents can possibly blame others for their dirty bag children's behavior. It's a wonder why they feel so entitled to do as they please when their useless parents excuse their behavior
Dirty bag 😂
The mothers remarks regarding her sons actions are truly disgusting and delusional. They are not decent humans 💩 and with that 🤯 I have no other comments to convey and remain within You Tubes guidelines.
Round of applause for the puppers who did what the humans couldn’t do. Also that dudes enabling mother is a piece of work. Prayers to all families affected by this lowlife.

Didn’t expect this to be covered so quickly. His escape and hiding made national news. Almost daily here in Chicago we were being alerted about this guy. They were saying that him being so elusive could have meant he escaped to another state. They told us Chicagoans to be vigilant just in case he did cross state lines. If we were being alerted all the way here in the state of Illinois then im near positive other states were alerting their citizens as well.
Right, I was surprised they covered it so quickly as well, always appreciative of the new content.
It was on the news in Australia too. Mostly because of how easily he escaped.
Thats what happens when AI writes and narrates your videos.
@@HolktubeRight? I'm so sick of this voice.
With this taking place 20 mins from my place, we were all being very vigilant in our area. All of us looking for him any time we went anywhere. He attempted to break in at a co workers house when they were away on vacation.
The fact that the ridiculous mom called the despicable crime a “mistake” says it all. SMH 🤦🏽♀️
I have let my 3 grown children that I will love them forever, unconditionally. They also know, that if I become aware that they have committed any crime, especially if it causes harm or death to another person, if they don’t turn themselves in, I will. I will completely support them through the process, tell them not to talk to anyone, especially the police, until they have a lawyer, which I will help to obtain, and of course, will still love them. Doing the right thing will be very hard, but it is what it is.
That’s tough doing the right thing at the moment god forbid those things happen as their protector I understand where you coming from, I wouldn’t blame others and I would turn them in
Facts! A parents job is to teach responsibility/accountability! If it takes decades for the 'kids' to learn it, so be it. That's a parents duty.
If your “kid” murders someone, then they are no longer your kid.
Yay for Yoda!😻A dog that saved the community instead of a whole police force. I don’t think I’d move to PA if their prison is that easy to escape from.
We have more than one prison in PA!
I live in Philly and I can confirm we were scared! He popped up in the most suburban areas and no one knew where he was going next. It was such a relief when he was caught.
Sounds like something … a well off… white lady from Philadelphia says.

it was a crazy scary time indeed.
That cop that nurtured that relationship even after the case is a good one. 💙🖤
Wow… I’d heard of how he escaped, but I didn’t hear what he had done. So awful. The focus on the news, at least from what I witnessed, seemed to be on the fact that he had escaped in this crazy way and not on what he had done to be put away…. So thank you for sharing this with us. Absolutely inexcusable, his mother can suck it too.
Yep that's what they do. Deflect. Also the border is wide open so best believe thousands of ppl like him r here now and we have no idea where they r until they hurt us
The mother is a piece of work to blame the victim for her own death, she's so in denial that she raised a monster. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Can’t imagine the fear those babies felt knowing the man that killed their mom was out there.. may god hold them closely
His mother is pathetic to blame the victim for her own murder. How could she even say that.
She raised a murderer, taught him how to live. How could anyone expect any less from a monster like her ....
Protective orders aren’t worth the paper they’re on. Didn’t stop my ex-husband from sitting, armed, in front of my place, hiding in the back seat of my car, showing up at my door. I’d call the cops & he’d be gone before they got there. The order only made him more vengeful and angry. I’m lucky to be alive.

As soon as you hear the parent’s response to their behaviors you quickly understand how these people can do such despicable things. Parents are more upsetting than the criminals

I am NOT victim blaming, bc no one deserves this. But please-women, men, everyone-PLZ-do not announce your plans to a violent criminal. Just leave w/out telling them, or turn them in w/out telling them. Or don’t if you’re not ready!!
But if any one there is in any situation where you’re about to make a decision that you know will change your life forever, or change someone else’s for the worse, just do it-do NOT announce it.

Something tells me if it weren't for Yoda this killer would've killed again, probably during a home invasion whilst stealing food, clothing, credit cards and a vehicle. Why wasn't his escape route at the jail sorted out after the prior escape by the other inmate? Lastly how dumb were the people who left a firearm in the unlocked and open doored garage especially when the area has an escaped murderer hiding out there and the residents were told for days to remain vigilant. Thank God Yoda caught him or those residents would've had blood on their hands when he killed using their gun. Isn't it illegal to not store away weapons in a screwed to a wall gun safe in the States? Surely people aren't allowed to leave long guns scattered wherever, so in the event of a burglary these weapons end up in the underworld of organised crime?

They quit as fast as they are hired. Why? Mandatory overtime.

This problem doesn’t fall on the underpaid, overworked COs. This is a systemic problem with PA correctional facilities.
