What a great cast! Really gorgeous game. The destructible walls-into-a-new-stage gimmick would later be adopted by Capcom, Midway, SNK, Tecmo, etc. I don't recall seeing it in a fighting game prior to this!
@CraigSmithII I'm sorry. What I wanted to say is that I wanted a sequel with a story that takes advantage of the streng of the final boss of this game.
It... It _was_ released in the US...? It's called _Global Champion_ outside of Japan, and it rereleased fairly recently on the Taito Egret II Mini Arcade. Like yeah, it's no substitute for Street Fighter, but what is? 😅
@@luisreyes1963 Naw, if anything that is its lasting legacy. It's a plenty competent and fun game in its own right, but it didn't do enough to really set itself apart from the pack.
Not sure why the Japanese devs decided to name an American guy fighter as Barts. Maybe they are fans of the Simpsons? Also, a Russian judo grappler with the name of a Mexican guy Gonzales is too funny. A black hip hop guy name Boggy. 😂 The Japanese devs and director didn’t bother to do more research of each countries typical names and styles.
An obscure fighting game from the 90s.
Now this is the kind of content I like! 😃
Aah, the 90s....😍

The unreleased sequel, Dan-Ku-Ga not only lets you play as the 2 characters Gonzales & Azteca, but the final boss General got nerfed.
It's sad we didn't a sequel because the true villain revealed himself after beating the General. Very underrated fighting game
I agree with you. It's a shame there wasn't a sequel

An anti-air PROJECTILE that's also a low, that's some Quarter Eater last boss bullshit. No wonder THE GENERAL is infamous for his brutality
A 90s 2D tournament fighting game, without a single panty-shot? I'm surprised LOL
😄😄😄
O jogo do General?!
Dizem que é o chefe mais difícil de todos os jogos de luta.
Mas pareceu nada de mais nesse vídeo!
Kaiser, uma grande cerveja 🍺
A cerveja dos momentos felizes
If they was to release this game in the united states it would of never been a street fighter

True bro you are correct 😁😁😁
Global Champion failed in the US due to the last boss General being too cheap.
