I’ve had the original Arlo and now the Arlo Pro. I bought the Eufy wired doorbell on sale and have been very impressed. I want to change my whole set up to Eufy. Keep up the awesome reviews !!!
‘Steve Does’ it again! Great review my friend. Pushed all my home chips to the center and picked up a couple of these, the new indoor cam w/pan tilt on pre-order, and the Home Security System. IMHO, you just can’t beat the price, video quality, and of course no recurring subscription fees. I appreciate you Steve! As Alonzo from ‘Training Day’ says, Boom...
Nice clip, Steve - thanks. I’ve been interested in adding cameras to my HomeKit arsenal and with EUFY’s update this week with HomeKit Secure Video these are a no brained. Your video really helped to validate my purchase intent! I was looking at Arlo but 4K (and even 2K) video is really more than I would need. If I had a store or business I needed them for then it might be a different story. Really, for the features offered, EUFY’s are a great deal - and currently a bit cheaper on Amazon! I’ll be sure to use your affiliate link - thanks, Steve!
Thank you for mentioning that the Homebase 2 that comes with the 2 is wireless (after setup) UNLIKE the one that comes with the E (Homebase 1). Literally that one tiny detail that I couldn't find anywhere is what's going to make me get the 2 over the E (I'm still researching).
I pre-ordered the 2k indoor cameras not long ago. I am excited to see how they work with everything else I have and with the other Eufy camera systems. Currently i have a bunch of Arlo Cameras, and honestly the biggest reason i am excited about these cameras is the removal of the subscription fees. It kills me that to get CVR on one camera with Arlo i have to spend $10 bucks ontop of all the other cost. Eufy seems to be making such great progress on and will really be putting a hurting on the big names if they keep this up. I also can't wait for the beta test program. I have never shyed away from any test in the past and this will not be an exception.
Sounds amazing, only question is how far can I set it up from the home base? I live on a farm and have recently had theft activity in the area so im looking to put some cameras up out in the sheds around the yard, anything you or anyone could recommend for me would be great, cheers in advance.
Interesting. Is it possible to direct wire these units, via the included USB cables, or extended aftermarket USB cables...to nearby USB enabled 120v outlets, so the batteries remain charged? Say for example, I hard wire 120v USB outlets near each camera, and then use the included or extended USB wires to remain powered and at peak battery? I sure wish they made a hard wired version.
Does the Eufy system send images with the alerts? Arlo used to, it's was a big selling point, but they just discontinued it. (Now, you get your notification, have to log in to the app, and search each camera -- they don't say in the alert -- to see what was triggered and why . . . a lot of people are moving on from Arlo which, with each update, seems to be disabling features and making things worse.) If Eufy has images with the alerts, I'm all in.
Stu, Arlo brought the image in notification back earlier this week. A lot of people were upset and even emailed the CEO. I'm also wondering if Eufy has a similar setup. Would hate to open up every recording to see what triggered the recording.
I just bought two of the Eufycam 2's with the base and an extra sensor for $200 and added the 2K Doorbell for $120 . Should be in this weekend. It will be replacing my outdated Samsung Wisenet system.
Thanks for your review. Been following each of update on this product and we planning to make our initial purchase. Looking forward to your video and link to test it. Thanks.
Steve, which camera do you recommend for outdoor use? I mean eufy has so many to choose from. I’m torn. They have the cam, cam E, cam 2, cam C, etc. Thanks buddy.
Damn the Amazon reviews are just terrible about this product but you make it sound like it’s the best. I’ve read through all the reviews and it does not sound like a product I want to have.
I was soooo close to buying a set of these cameras before I combed through the Reddit, Amazon , and Google reviews. It's truly disappointing. Also, a good amount of the youtube reviewers that I follow are giving Eufy products major kudos but aren't discussing some of the issues mentioned in the forums. It's actually kinda sad
Hi, PLEASE let me know how to setup 3 eufy 2 Pro cameras in an App (Windows and Andriod) to have them LIVE all the time; it's what a surveillance system is all about. If you have not done it before, you may have connections with eufy support that can help us, Thanks!
Thanks for excellent video. Do you have experience with a magnetic mount. Magnet is very strong, however the holder with a ball for camera is really very badly designed. How to fix the holder firmly to the wall? Have you any idea?
2 questions please: - 1: can I add more cameras instead of 4 I can have more like 5,6 or more - 2: in Australia the houses are made out of double brick, how is the range through walls?
Liked and subbed man. Hey really appreciate all of you time and effort going into the vids. I recently picked up a Eufy doorbell and Camera and love it. My plan is to pick up a couple more now so I’d love to join the beta test group and provide feedback. Again thanks for all you do!

Hi Steve. Great review! Based on this review I am going to order these cameras. 365 days before having to charge may be unattainable as I live where it can get to -30c to -40c in the winter time. We will see!

Haha, yeah i was totally slacking with this one. :) I'll have the video up middle of next week and there will be a link for you to sign up for the beta test.
Hello Steve thanks for the your great video. Couple questions, one, regarding maximum security setting, how long do you think the batteries might last on that setting (Hipshot) at least 6 months? Two, what is the maximum length of clips you can set The camera to take? And, is there a minimum "cool off" period between clips motion activation? Thank you!

Interesting video, thanks. The price of the 2 cam wireless system is looking better than most and the lack of subscription is good for me, outside the US, where constant internet is not always guaranteed. I have some 16 Lorex cameras on coax cables with 3 [2x4 and 1x8] recorders, in a large building. There are often connection issues. The power supplies are under-rated, so they overheat with the crazy 4-ways splitters for camera power.
Thanks, Steve, great test and great product. The only little downside is the night vision. I think the time has come for all cameras to have colour night vision, like the Reolink cameras. With just a little light (like for example solar lights) you get colour videos at night. Black and white video is for the police not enough these days. A good solicitor will get the intruder off the hook as the picture is not clear. you can't say what colour their clothes are or anything like that. the intruder can calmly say, "it could be me, but it isn't" and there is nothing you can do. With a colour picture, this is far more difficult. But otherwise a great camera.
great, informative & useful review! I just purchased these and charging the cameras now. I wish there was a way to use an microSD card within the home base unit, but other than that looks comparable to the Nest Cam I previously owned.
Recently switched from Arlo to the Ring stick up cams cause I have their security service but these look interesting as well. Hopefully I get picked for the beta test. Looking forward to that link on the next video
I just bought these and was wondering if there is a way to plug these camera to a power source so I can forget about charging them at the end of the year... too lazy 😀
Are you mounting brackets good quality or do you recommend a 3rd party kit? I also have brick on my house, so I will need to buy cement screws and drill.
Hi Steve, great video on Eufy cam 2. One question on mounting camera outside. Does eufy have mountings for this camera that can fit on the eaves and have the camera at right angles to the mounting? Cheers Paul
I enjoyed your review, and have been looking for an outside camera. I would like to be included in Beta Testing. Currently I only have the Eufy doorbell.
Is it possible to record 24/7 with EufyCam 2? or only record clips up to 120sec? (If it is possible to record 24/7 it will drain the battery like 6 months or less?) Thank you for te review!!
Nice video steve just a quick question is it compatible with alexa eco show as some reviewer's on Amazon said that it's not working with eco show alexa could you please reconfirm that Appreciate your kind support
Hi Steve, I have Arlo cams. My motion sensors are set to high sensitivity. My video clips only record the last half of the motion. Could you address latency recording issues if any with Eufy cams?
I heard this is server depended. I don't understand that this supposed to be able to record locally but if the china server is down, the whole system stops working. You really have to put your faith with the eufy server in china and the whole company to continue support it.
Great videos, thanks! I just bought a week ago 3 camera set of Eufycam 2 and those are working great. Heard about rumours of Eufycam Pro and can’t wait to hear more of it. I still need few more cameras and hopefully those upcoming indoor cameras (interested in that pan&tilt camera in order to track what our dogs are doing when we are away 😂) and that Eufycam Pro also because I need at least one more camera to outdoors. Would love to be part of betatesting group for Eufy cameras 👍 but I don’t know if it’s even possible because I am living in Europe (if I understood it right at least indoor camecas are lauched first in US and later in this year in Europe).
I have bought one of the Eufy Cam E and the Eufy Cams 2, but I cannot see any footage from the mini sd card when I put it into my computer??? Any ideas. Thank you
Great review! Followed your channel as I'm a Arlo loyalist (Arlo Pro and Pro2) but these Eufy Cameras are definitely disruptive. You mention they're looking for Beta testers to your audience. I'd love to do a test. I have a suspicion their new camera ups the resolution to 2K or maybe even 4k especially with their battery life being so high - would gladly trade that off for more picture quality. Like how Eufy seems to have superior audio too.
Great video on this camera Steve. Just subscribed. Great videos - looking forward to many more. Also I have just filled in the forms for the Beta, so fingers crossed! Steve, could you do a video after some in depth research on the reason why the latest outage caused nearly everyone to not be able to log into their videos and app with everyone thinking there was no cloud usage on the camera to homebase. Many have bought he Eufy cameras for the reason of getting away from cloud use from companies, and now finding this all came to a halt when their servers went down? I am based in the UK and to be fair, I didn't see any issues and tested wifi use on the app and also 4G use on my iPhone and all seemed pretty smooth.
Great review, just really can’t decide on the E or the 2, I want the extra battery life, the 2 is only £50 more at the moment in the uk and the 2 has the AI do you think it makes a big difference? Any help would be most appreciated 👍 thanks
They record up to 3 minute clips. For a store I’d recommend something with continuous recording. Whether that be wireless 24/7 cloud recording like the Nest IQ with subscription or getting a wired camera system that records locally to a DVR.
Ty very much for the video! I’ve been waiting for this! Should I wait and see what comes out with their next release of cameras to purchase? How do we become beta testers? I’d love to be!
I always liked Arlo but i'm really starting to have an issue with the way they treat their non-subscribed customers. My biggest gripe is the fact that i STILL can't see thumbnails for my locally stored clips. It's talked about on the Arlo forums and they don't seem to care. On the other hand Eufy tries to get issues like this fixed right away. Because of that i'm starting to recommend Eufy over Arlo more and more to people that don't want to pay a subscription. With that said, if you plan to pay for the subscription the Arlo app works well and the Pro 2 and Ultra are great cameras.
Well folks here's something that Eufy doesn't tell you. If you need to change your email address you have to delete all your cameras and your account and start over with the new email address. You can change your password but you cannot change your email with a user name and password.
For those wondering about the beta test, I'll have a link in my next video were you can go to Eufy's site and register for their beta test.
I’ve had the original Arlo and now the Arlo Pro. I bought the Eufy wired doorbell on sale and have been very impressed. I want to change my whole set up to Eufy. Keep up the awesome reviews !!!
Arlo is overrated overpriced
I really like that it has solid enduring battery life for up to a year and no real need to put wiring . That's pretty important for me.
You're a great advocate for Eufy, I'm sold.

Welcome aboard. I’m not familiar with the outage you’re referring to. Do you have a link to an article about it? I’d love to look deeper into it.
Nice video. Will you do a video on the new Eufy Cam 2 Pro?
Does anyone know if I can use Eufy security app and Apple home kit or does it have to be one or the other?
Eufy app or home kit? Which is better?
Hi, can you upgrade the memory with an sd card, or is it just the built-in 16gb?
Great review, just really can’t decide on the E or the 2, I want the extra battery life, the 2 is only £50 more at the moment in the uk and the 2 has the AI do you think it makes a big difference? Any help would be most appreciated 👍 thanks
Im in a similar situation, was looking at the blink xt2s on amazon but now trying to figure out which eufy to get as seem much better quality
Hello Steve
2 question
-are they suitable for a store?
-and when they capture movement, does it record continuously until the person leaves?
Thank you
They record up to 3 minute clips. For a store I’d recommend something with continuous recording. Whether that be wireless 24/7 cloud recording like the Nest IQ with subscription or getting a wired camera system that records locally to a DVR.
Hey Steve had a question. If I have more then 3 camera and need atleast 5 cams. Do I need another HomeBase or one HomeBase can handle all 5 cams?
Yes you can do that. They Homebase 2 supports up to 16 cameras.
Great review and info on the package
Thanks Rob.
Can you connect and external Hard drive to it?????
Sir?.if i put inside of my house..The battery still work for 365 days?..can i connect it in my phone??.please answer me before buying it..thank you
are you still going to review FrontPoint?
Yes but that video will be posted on the Reviews.Org channel.
@@SteveDOES can you send me your channel on there?
Ty very much for the video! I’ve been waiting for this! Should I wait and see what comes out with their next release of cameras to purchase? How do we become beta testers? I’d love to be!
Hi Joe, i'll have all the details in my next video but essentially there will be a link for you to go apply to be a beta tester.
how do you access the entire 16GB home base file?
new and looking to buy my first system. ill beta test the new camera.
Great review. The night vision didn't appear to look that great. What did you think?
I'd love to get back in the beta test game.
Yea, the night vision was not the best that i've seen.
I have the eufy floodcam so I don't run into issues with the night-vision since the flood lights come on
You like this one better then the cam e?
do you recommend this over Arlo 2 or 3...I had the Arlo 2... wasn't that impressed... the customer service wasn't great either?
I always liked Arlo but i'm really starting to have an issue with the way they treat their non-subscribed customers. My biggest gripe is the fact that i STILL can't see thumbnails for my locally stored clips. It's talked about on the Arlo forums and they don't seem to care. On the other hand Eufy tries to get issues like this fixed right away. Because of that i'm starting to recommend Eufy over Arlo more and more to people that don't want to pay a subscription. With that said, if you plan to pay for the subscription the Arlo app works well and the Pro 2 and Ultra are great cameras.
@@SteveDOES yeah I had the same issue with Arlo... after watching your video and researching it... I'm thinking I'm going over to Eufy
Battery replacement? Can you replace the batteries?
No, not with these cameras. Eufy says you can recharge them over 30+ times. So each charge giving you 1 year, that's pretty good. :)
Cómo desarmar la cámara para cambiar la batería
Well folks here's something that Eufy doesn't tell you. If you need to change your email address you have to delete all your cameras and your account and start over with the new email address. You can change your password but you cannot change your email with a user name and password.
Thank you! That really helped.
