I absolutely love how Black directors at churches, schools and universities all around the country (and the globe in fact) arrange this chorus and leave their style upon it, forever influencing the preferences of their students in favor of the first rendition that they learn! I did this in Korea with a 200-voice choir and loved every minute of rearranging it the way I really wanted, and the singers claimed it was their favorite "gospel" song, lol. Great job, and I'm sure everyone in this choir never forgot this arrangement. (I'm so tickled that the director had to write a piano score for this; at a Black church, you already know they would have killed this with their eyes wide SHUT!)
Excellent singing and training: true SATB:somewhat rare in Black churches! This presentation is very excellent all around! Let's recruit more black basses!
