Kirby Squeak Squad, known as Kirby Mouse Attack in Europe and Kirby of the Stars: Calling on the Dorotche Gang (星のカービィ 参上! ドロッチェ団) in Japan, was beaten in 36:40.54 minutes by MUGG ( tasvideos.org/... ), by taking advantage of glitches and of the bottom screen, which is used to keep and mix the things Kirby swallowed during his adventure. This is one of the games where I belive the best optimal run of a TAS is actually canon, since Kirby is enranged that he got his cake stolen
I don't think he would do everything optimally though, and now I want to make that myself
Hes enraged that much and dont even care about the other treasures
Have you seen the new 100% tas? With big star strats, Kirby is so mad that he breaks the law of conservation of mass to get his cake back.

Actually, the easy trick to fake your speed run is emulator, and then, set the speed to 0.2×. but it will be long. ;-; he is not faking his speed run. He is practicing it to speed run that game.

I'd like to see a 100% TAS of this game. A 4-player TAS of Kirby and the Amazing Mirror would be interesting as well.
that 4 player amazing mirror is also what i was always interested in, but i think the issue here is of technical nature. you would have to run 4 emulators at the same time that are also somehow synched to each other
The technical issue isn't syncing, it's that the game will slow down to a crawl if you try doing it with 4 players.
plshalp Sure, it might run slow, but I'd expect recording it as a video would make it look like it's running smoothly.
A 4-player TAS (on GBA)???>first we need upgrade of bizhawk to run(in your want case>4 emulator on same window task and can restart all at same time and shared save state slot entries task)

I like the usage of Hammer for boss battles, because, as you know, Hammer is BROKEN during bosses

Yes, the de facto standard states that a TAS should be encoded to the highest resolution possible.

I noticed you've used Hammer quite a lot, but Big Stars are just better, while Hammer is now useful in niche situations.

If you mean GameShark codes, then no. If by cheating you mean stuff like savestates and slowing the game down, then yes. That's what TAS means.
