Nice crosstick sound, by the way this genre along with salsa, soft rock, light jazz, or Bossa nova, is the only time you use the so called "St Anger snare"
Hi Mike. Really helpful, as usual! I’m taking Grade 4 in July. Any tips on R ‘n’ B? (Or any chance of a video on this, please?). The sample pieces are in 6/8, 3/4 and 4/4, so quite a variety of time signatures. I think I’m doing ok, but any gems of advice would be appreciated! \m/

Thanks for watching :)
I really love drums. :)
hi, could you try making a video on improv and playback for grade 4
Yeah man! Thanks for watching :)
How do you adjust the snare drum to give it that "reggae" feel ("St Anger snare"? Do you have a video on this?
Turn the level on the snare strainer (on the side of the drum) to the off position. This make the snare wires drop off the bottom head.
