    I usually start crying when I do my makeup because it does nothing to cover the bumbs and scars of my acne. And then I look at this video and see how pretty you are with and without make-up. We're more critical of ourselves than we are of others.

      You have to deal with skin problem before you think about putting on makeup so that the makeup would look more even and smoother. Clinique acne solutions is a good foundation for acne prone skin.

      @@11_nmq acne can be sometimes be stubborn to leave that’s when you keep trying until something works. We have the internet there are tons of products out there dedicated to helping mild to severe acne. Look for products over the counter that may help. If that doesn’t work go to a dermatologist to seek professional help. Where they could do chemical peels , laser, give you medicated creams, accutane. All I’m saying don’t stop until something works. I know because I been through acne that was very hard to make go away and scared my face.

      @@mistressscarlett8978 I totally agree with all of what you said. What I meant is as someone who used to have acne because of mental illness, it doesn’t feel good when someone tells you you have to deal with skin problem before you put makeup. I know completely your intentions are good telling her that, but you never know what’s causing the acne and how the person might receive your message. I used to feel the worst when someone comments on my acne because I was trying my best but nothing works. Now my acne cleared up which is proof that something will work if you figure out the problem and deal with it just like you said 👌🏻.

      Hey I just want to beg pls don't be ashamed or give up on your skin. Despite what people say, what we think is more important. I had the worst skin ever since puberty hit me at 14 plus I'm an athlete living in a hot and humid tropical island. I kept telling myself in front of the mirror one day my skin is going to be clear and I love how my eyes look, and how I have perfect cheekbones and I kept telling myself how I love which part of my bodies. It kept me positive. And guess what? At 16 my skin started getting better and by 20 it cleared..our body needs us to love it and tells it how much we love it to start healing. You are beautiful and pls don't feel otherwise.

    I just wanted thank you . Watching ur videos helped my through a rough time while I was dealing with a huge acne breakout earlier this year. It was Soo bad that I couldn't see my dimples anymore because of all the acne I had also they were extremely painful. I felt so lonely and insecure, it didn't help that people looked at me disgusted, but watching ur videos helped me feel like I wasn't alone and there are others going through the same thing and that I should still be confident. Me being desperate I tried everything to diy's to acne products and it only made my acne even worse and to the point where it changed my skin texture from super oily to super dry. I then decided enough is enough and stopped using everything and just used water and lotion and worked my mental health and began working out. It only been 2 months since and wow! My skin went from 200+ pimples to 0 and all I only have is acne pigmentation which is slowly leaving day by day. I literally cried today when I woke up because I was able to look at myself in the mirror without being sad and I actually see skin with no acne! Thank you again ❤️

      UPDATED to say that VITAMIN A in massive doses is toxic & causes liver failure, but works with the same mechanism as Accutane does. (Accutane & high doses of Vitamin A both cause BIRTH DEFECTS so it’s important to not take unless you’re on birth control). that’s great you’ve had progress. a common cause of acne is *BACTERIA* & it’s important to never touch your face. wash your bedding & pillow cases often & if you use a computer keyboard ⌨️ then use alcohol swabs to wipe it down before using. makeup might seem “clean”, but it clogs pores (Lily- I noticed that your technique of slathering the pigment in a downward motion. that’s very bad because the opening of pores is on “top” & therefore *UPWARD* motion is less likely to get inside of a pore & clog it up. 10% Benzyl Peroxide or anything as “harsh” can CAUSE “acne” on sensitive skin. That’s why 5% is actually BETTER than 10%. the blemishes that erupt from 10% benzyl peroxide aren’t really typical acne as they’re more like a skin eruption solely due to the irritating concentration (but any irritated “wound” can attract white blood cells which die & turn into pus).
      for anyone with acne, try washing your skin with a *sensitive* acne formula & apply 5% benzyl peroxide & DON’T WEAR MAKEUP. try not to feel self conscious, but I realize that’s easier said than done, so if you’re feeling way too “exposed” without makeup, then perhaps (for a couple of weeks) stay home if you feel more comfortable while your skin is *healing*. Personally I wouldn’t stay home (but everyone has different comfort levels.)
      if that doesn’t work, a very small percentage of people have a Zinc deficiency that can cause acne (zinc can be toxic so it’s important to take only the USRDA which is often less than 1 pill so it may need to be cut in half). This is a very small cause of acne, but worth being aware of just in case you’re among them. Good luck !! 🍀

      same, experience. when i was in the fifth grade i started growing pimples already. earlier for kids my age. Two of my friends asked me why i had pimples in my face. at that time i really didn't know what was up. I told them it was because i stayed up late at night. and they said they did the same thing but no pimples grew on their faces. And then they stared at each other and said some things like they were pointing out i was gross and stuff. It really ruined my self confidence, covered my face using my handkerchief while talking to people. Now my face cleared up and their pimple experience is even worse than mine.

      I had the same issue! I was the youngest person to have breakouts. I was still in elementary school! I was lucky to have never suffered from cystic acne or nodules. So when I hit my teens, I found that the sun and tanning beds helped clear my skin. Wrong! Big mistake. Oh, don't get me wrong, my breakouts were gone, gorgeous tan always. That's how I lived from 17 until 34. Now im 40 and undoing all of the damage I have caused from laying in the sun and tanning beds. I developed malasma, which is so hard to treat (of course). I now have professional peels done, dermaplaning, botox, use tretinoin and prescription azalic acid, niacinamide, pretty much every active you can think of is incorporated into my routine somewhere 😂. So my point, I guess, is that if I had treated my skin instead of trying to hide it, the damage I'm now undoing wouldn't have happened. I'm not obsessed with skincare, and it actually has become a hobby. Our society is so judgemental and uneducated about so many conditions, and unfortunately, acne is one. I'm lucky now and have fairy nice skin. But it has been an expensive journey and several years to get here. I still do get those blind pimples that hurt once in a while, but we all have flaws, and no one has "perfect" skin.

And to those who do have acne, cystic and all, you are all so beautiful no matter what. Try not to listen to those ugly beauty standards. • @karasaekano
      @karasaekano 2 года назад

      @oof People who wear makeup don’t usually wear it 24/7. People with clear ass skin STILL wear makeup. You think these celebrities are insecure too when they go to movie premieres with makeup on? Like the whole world hasn’t seen them without makeup? You don’t have a reason to disrespect her. How come men can get their hair lined and face nicely trimmed but we have to go outside looking bare 100% of the time?

    • @karasaekano

      @oof But after reading your other comments I see you are trolling. I should have known.

    • @karasaekano
      @karasaekano 2 года назад

      @oof I mean after all using a skin care routine is essentially the same thing. People usually wear makeup for event purposes. People still see them without makeup and even people who don’t wear it still cover their face because they’re insecure about their acne.

    • @karasaekano
      @karasaekano 2 года назад

      @oof You can’t speak for how everyone else’s skin reacts to things like that. You seem young, based on your “just do this, it’s easy” sort of replies.

When I did have clear skin, i never ever down shamed anyone with it, never stared at someone with it, barely noticed it in anyone because it’s a way of life, now having it that’s all i think people see in me which makes me realise how good i was to just not pay attention to it in other people because i now know how much they worried about being seen with it. it’s just something we can’t help and we just got to embrace it because it’s so normal, doesn’t make you any less worthy or beautiful, you’re gorgeous no matter what!💜
