- Tonight we take a quick look at AlfaOBD's Proxy Alignment procedure. Our demo car for this video is our 2015 Dodge Dart. This Proxy Alignment procedure should work on any 2013-2016 Dodge Dart. AlfaOBD uses an OBDLink MX+ for communication between the car and your Android or Windows device. We use a Microsoft Surface Pro with Windows 10 to connect AlfaOBD via our OBDLink MX+ dongle. Performing a proxy alignment takes a few minutes to complete but is fairly easy to do. This will save you a trip to the dealer if you change out modules in Dodge Dart or FCA product.

What about if a car hit and ran? My front bumper is half broken. Got a new one in the way. But the alignment is now off a bit. My steering wheel is more to the right for when I want to drive straight
3 years later I have to say, THANK YOU! My promaster has had flashing odometer driving me crazy. looked everywhere and couldnt find a straightforward solution. dealer said $300. I was able to get all the parts, follow your instructions, and do this myself for under $200, plus now I have the MX+ and alphaobd to tinker with other details. Thanks so much for sharing this very helpful
2 years after you posted and this video saved my chili after I used Alfa OBD to disable fog light dropout on highbeams on my 2016 Chrysler 200S Had no idea id have to do this afterwards, so I'm grateful you posted the video. Thanks!
Hey man - thank you for this video. You saved me tons of cash. I had a battery fail on my 2015 Chrysler 200. It caused my shifter to be stuck in N, blinking odometer and the car wouldn't turn over at all. Another video I watched (on this exact issue) suggested purchasing a J2534 pass thru device ($$$$) and a subscription to witech to fix the issue. Instead I bought a OBDLink MX+ and the alfaodb software. I replaced the battery, then ran the PROXI alignment, cleared the faults and the car is running. HUGE THANK YOU!

@@CIRCLEDOWN10 If you're going to try what I did; I had to run the PROXI alignment a few times and once after I cleared the errors my car was getting.
@@jakelawson8988 I know it’s been a while but I got a question. It’s hard to find anything but obviously the proxi is available on the app. When you purchase the license are there more options on the program than the demo shows? If so my question is answered, if not where is the proxi alignment option. Thanks for your time.

My 2015 Chrysler 200 gear shifter was stuck in neutral with the “N” flashing but the car was not actually in neutral so I couldn’t get it towed to get my leaky brake line fixed. Followed the steps on your video and now it’s back to normal. Thanks!

Thanks so much for making this video!! I changed fog light drop out on my BOSSES 2015 Cherokee and completely f*cked it up. Worked good for the drop out but then lights everywhere came on the dash when he started vehicle to go home. Service park break, service transmission, service air bag system all came on. Transmission wouldn't shift from park... FML.. This worked to fix the problem. 2 thumbs up from me, your vid save my a$$.

This helped me to know I was using the app the write way. I'm a PC guy and don't want to brick my car like a jailbreak gone wrong. My 2016 has had the gremlin in the electrical for some time. I'm hoping this will help with some of the configs I did and to eventually get the radio to work consistently. Thanks again 🤙🏽
what do you do if it throws a fail in something? does that system just re correct the problem for you?
Any way you could do another quick video of sound a proxy alignment I have a 15 chrysler 200 that I replaced the speedometer cluster and need to do this I have alfa app and the obdmx but can't figure out how to proxy alignment it lol
If you are using windows tablet or computer you could also use obd ex just as long as it has a usb port, it's also about 40 bucks cheaper
I believe I have an older version of that, but I also had the MX+ so that is what I used.
I did this last night & two more issues popped up. Now it says 'service airbags' and the traction control is lit up on the cluster.
Hi there. I’m new with ALFAOBD . I haveJeep Cherokee 2018 3.2L . Im swapping my cluster from 3.5 to 7inch.
1) I want to do mileage correction, but I don’t se option for Mileage correction. (i can se the options on Grand Cherokee 2016&up)
2) After putting the 7inch cluster i see the Mileage Flashing.. There is a option This option is going to help me to stop the Mileage flashing?.

Hi I have followed the steps but part way through the alignment I get a message that says "Check Interface" and suggesting I use a blue adaptor (which is already installed to port).
Any suggestions please?
It will be good to see what youre doing on your tablet while youre turning off/on after the screen who you need to press Ok because mine failed always at this step :(

Hi, i'm using the exact same dongle MX+ and alfaOBD app on my android phone. I can't connect to the body computer, but connects to the ABS OK. I'm getting CAN error on body computer. any idea what could be wrong? appreciate any help.

I never got that far with the Dart. I use a Surface Pro 4, getting a little long in the tooth (old) now though.
would've liked to see what you were doing on the screen, i would recommend obs since your using windows.
Thanks man - yea, I didn't have something decent at the time to record my screen. I've OBS Studio and Camtasia now. Been trying to put more effort into the production side of things since I recorded this.

I completed the proxi alignment because my odometer was flashing and radio would not turn and now the odometer has stopped flashing but the radio still won’t come on
did the problem ever get fixed?
Hello there I have a 2016 Dodge Dart and the odometer flashes when it’s running and the base radio works when it wants too no idea what I should do I came to this video from a dart forum.
You can try a proxy alignment with AlfaOBD. Beyond that I am not sure.

2014 Dodge Dart owner. I swapped out a regular analog cluster with a tft digital cluster from another car to complement my 8.4 screen. Everything works, but the mileage continues to flash. Would this fix it?
Yes it would fix it with a proxy configuration alignment

You'll need a device with bluetooth or I believe you can get a USB dongle.

My IPC Keeps Failing
I got my 8.4 radio working for my chrylser 200 but it wont fix the flashing odometer, the cluster is also out of salvage 7 inch
@@HustleEntertaintment Thats awesome that you got it working. I'm not sure why it hasn't fixed the flashing odometer, I think, if I remember correctly, I had to do the proxy alignment a couple of times when I first did it. I may have also disconnected the battery in between. Just really learning about this stuff myself.
I got it to work! I had to change the configuration for the tft display to color
Had let the car rest for 30 minutes to an hour after proxy
