I will never understand why Beyoncé is compared to Etta, it has nothing to do with her. Apart from that Miss James is the best vocalist in history, especially for her time since no one did with her throat what she did for Etta, because she simply does not look like anything as much as she says she is influenced by her. More influence I see from Etta James in ... for example; Mariah Carey (of which I never heard that it was one of her influences, but you only have to see her music and her record for you to know that yes) and especially Christina Aguilera (who sees her is a little girl of Etta and Mariah and a little of Whitney). So do not say that Etta is better than Beyoncé. Never never. Etta James queen of the vocalists.

Beyoncé is a better singer than Etta, she sang her songs so beautifully and Etta can't sing Halo or I care
And she's definitely not the best vocalist in the world

You are an idiot, Beyonce did NOT ask Etta personally about her experience back then and even if this is 1 year ago, if the person that you are playing his or her role is still alive and can still think and recall events that only that person would know, then it be best to communicate with that individual. Also, Etta James had every right to talk smack and feel insulted about what Beyonce did, since Etta James was not aware of the film being planned or made, it was unexpected and confusing. Moreover, you can defend Beyonce many times as you want ,but the fact remains that Beyonce was rude and harsh to make a film about someone that is not dead yet or mentally gone. Over all, Beyonce is bitch for doing that and you barely understand what that is like, continue worshiping your disgusting soul less Idol.

Not ONCE did Beyoncé say she wanted to be Etta James. Etta was a drug addict, alcoholic. Stop patronising Beyoncé like she isn’t hugely successful. Beyoncé is her own ICON. Idiot.

And Beyonce is quit simply a hundred times more vocally skilled then Etta could ever dream of being in her wildest, Beyonce's agility trumps Etta's meek one even when Beyonce was in her teens. Beyonce's range is much more consistently supported then Etta's. Beyonce's projection and use of her 3 registers is that of a classical singer. Beyonce tone is allot more soulful as she produces majority of her growls and dark, deep notes with a neutral larynx. Etta is nothing but a mild uneducated second rate vocalist who was in desperate need of a vocal coach. Beyonce is out of her league and that is an objective fact not a subjective one based on a weak feeling you felt 50 years ago.

LMAO isn't that the epitome of comicality and ignorance taking actual failure over pure knowledge and finesse. And I'm the one in need of medical help?? Emotive singing means nothing if it is based on the lowest form of unprofessionality that's almost like equating a surgeon that operated on a 100 patients and killed all of them to one that operated on patients quit successfully; But you're pardoned tho for using the word soul since you really seem like you're critically challenged because what Etta does is closer to barking up for some change 🤣 then actual singing.
And last but certainly not least that boring ass tone will hold Etta's entire discography in it's tessitura so lets not overestimate a couple of improper frequencies for actual music. Also by all means fall of that chair I'm assured that you're a wast of that space anyways 🤣.

AshTheOne So white people are delusional? Racist much? Beyoncé will be 100 times more famous when she’s dies than Etta will ever be.

What Beyonce did with Etta repertoire was simply a favor she'll never repay dead or alive.

Am I? because you're the one that seems to be easily triggered here. It's called obsession and delusion which is loving something or someone for no valid reason and denying the objective facts. Show my comment to your nearest clinic I'm pretty sure they'll admit you to a fitting sanatorium.

Etta James was alive and not far gone mentally, to do a film about someone that he or she is not aware of is "rude" and "harsh". So, to you its Ok because it is not you they are doing film about and Etta James had every right to be insulted and talk smack about Beyonce. Over all, I am not in Etta James shoes to understand how she felt about that, therefore how can you be sure if Etta James should enjoy the favor? you would not understand anything about that at all.

@@guillermoolivaiii9550 Well Etta certainly had no problem walking red carpets with Beyoncé when this movie premiered. Her issue ACTUALLY was not Beyoncé playing her in this movie. Her issue was Obama asking Beyoncé to sing "At Last" at his first inauguration.
