@Ad k Nice joke, it's actually much harder. Because today's cars are pulling record amount of Gs. It doesn't get easier as there are other drivers that are also pushing to become 1st. As the F1 cars are getting faster, pulling lots of Gs, they're harder to control, so they go undergo serious fitness. It may not look like they're struggling with the car, but they're trying to make it precise as possible for a perfect lap.

Ignacio Sebastian Mello don’t know why people are just saying “It’s a manual gearbox” becuase it is, but you are right it is a Sequntial manual gearbox. Pulling the shift lever back shifts up, and pushing it forward shifts down. It’s not like a common 5 or 6 speed diagram where you have to push the stick to the side and up when switching into a lower gear, just forward and backwards.

I think He was good, but in that circustances everyone with talent was good driver. Farina, Ascari and Fangio were only talented drivers. Now all the drivers are talented and they arrived to F1 winning competitions and demostrating his talent. In 1950 only drove who has money to do it. So, Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Alonso, Hamilton, Clark, Stewart, Vettel, Hill, Lauda, Piquet, Fitipaldi, Rosberg... all of them are better than Fangio never was.

My gosh he completely locks the wheels at 00:31, He was pushing that car to the absolute edge of control. What a driver.

I still have no damn clue how he made that turn at that angle

@@TheRedc0met You might be right but it seems he definitely locks up at 1:21 and you can hear the tires sliding/squealing, the way he pushed that beast of a car is mind blowing!

Z Malik Look at the tire lettering. They stop for a split second

@@evann5451 you might be right, but that happens when you turn the tires, they slowed down tho, and @TheRedc0met is kinda right but not for the right reason, because senna's throttle control is really strange, and it throws the balance of the car around a lot, but it might not be it, because the engine had very little torque and it was uphill with a decent bit of downforce to throw the balance that far to the back, and tires just squeal all the time no matter how slow or smooth you go.

Thats inner wheel lift while he was braking, you can clearly see it lift.
He made the turn at that angle because when that locked front right wheel touched the ground just before the apex, it pushed the car around the corner.
With 4 wheels going around, and the right front one locking up, the other 3 keeps going and pushes the car around to the right.
This goes beyond simple car control as we know it, you have to really sync with the track too, and it's no secret that at Monaco, Senna did that.
