You use a copper washer on that screw, that is what seals it!

Nice! Congrats on sorting the pump out, you'll probably have it running for years now, but get an extra impeller and seal to keep on board as a spare. Just in case.

Nice to see you in good spirits and hopefully once the engine warms up all the little leaks sort them self's out as things expand and settle in again👍 .

LOL - totally empathise with whatever problems you had fighting the prop walk and wind. Until you experienced it yourself, you can’t quite appreciate how tricky it can be to get it right. Some days it’s a piece of cake and you feel like a pro. Other days you think WTF happened there 😂
PS bow in first works every time for me - who cares!

I dont understand. its much easier to go bow in to a berth and reverse out. Why cos you have no real steerage to go in to a narrow berth and leaving a berth you really just need to get out the berth then turn round on a sixpence if needed.

Think depends on your boat and berth combo. I reverse into ours beacause I know the prevailing wind comes from the SW and will blow my bow over straight down the fairway on departure. Also the prevailing wind is on my starboard bow then and spray hood gives some protection in the hatch and I use a shorter once piece electric hookup. I'll go in bow first if its blowly as again the SW wind stops by bow from coming around to follow the stern in revdrse so then I'm a bit limited. Once you know your boat, you can pretty much predict the outcome on any docking situation with wind and tide.
