This is great, but I'm really struggling to animate a bike route from a GPX file I imported (made using a route tracking app called Ride with GPS, but I've also tried with Strava). The route just comes in as a line on the map, so animating the line itself seems to not be possible, in this app. Moving the camera to follow the irregular route (like a bird's eye view) is also proving very difficult. I find the keyframes for the multiple movements required don't do what I need them to. Do you think that animating a long route like a bike ride and exporting it as a full video makes any sense using this tool?
Yeah, it can be pretty difficult to try and fly a camera around to follow a path. And as far as I know you can only fade the path in and out, you can't have it animate on from point to point. Maybe you can export a map without the path and then one with the path, and then just animate a mask to reveal the path in After Effects or Premiere Pro.
@@BooneLovesVideo that is a smart idea! I'd lose some of the fun 3D effects you get in studio, but for a more basic 2D overhead map that would be great. I also just noticed that studio now has an MP4 video export option, using cloud rendering, but it's pretty spiffy!

at the night shot and in general, they could add 3 exposure sliders: 1. direct light 2. shadows 3. sky background this way we could manually control the looks. or at least one slider that goes far Left: Contrasted to far Right: HDR Tone Remapped. You can do it in post to an extent but better to do major changes like this before the video compression, when possible.
that last part with the stars was very exciting indeed (even for reptiles, as you said) but it felt it could like some light balancing/tweaking for each different usage case.

@@BooneLovesVideo Thanks dude for reminding me. Just watched it and yeah it's great. I recently tried out some stuff by my own but got some issues depending on how complex the animation of GE Studio has been. Stimes my own objects kinda swim rather than being sticked to the marker. Still have to figure out what causes this issues. Greez from munich. Btw nice guy on your arms. I have a similar one - in a female version. ;-) ❤
@@3D-PHASE Oh wow, I love Munich. Such a fantastic city. Hmm yeah I don't know what would be causing it to float like that. And I'm hoping for a female version in the future. :) How old is yours?
great, welcome to France :) by the way, do you have any project on compositing Character animator puppets and After effects?
Thanks! Character Animator is a ridiculously cool program. I'll definitely consider coming up with a tutorial on how to bring animations into After Effects. Very good idea.

Merci beaucoup :) and if you have any questions cc France, don't hesitate. It's a lovely country (some say without french, but that's gossip).
Thank you for the kind words! Where do you live in France?

@@BooneLovesVideo I got it! 1 week !
at the night shot and in general, they could add 3 exposure sliders: 1. direct light 2. shadows 3. sky background
this way we could manually control the looks. or at least one slider that goes far Left: Contrasted to far Right: HDR Tone Remapped. You can do it in post to an extent but better to do major changes like this before the video compression, when possible.
Yeah that would be interesting.
that last part with the stars was very exciting indeed (even for reptiles, as you said) but it felt it could like some light balancing/tweaking for each different usage case.
We need this. :O
Yes we do.
:P
Agreed
Helps me a lot!
Good! Thanks for watching.
that sucks, my approval took a few days
How many days? And how do you like it now that you're using it?
